I woke up about an hour after I fell asleep. I glanced at my phone, which was left on my nightstand, and reached for it. I looked at the time and saw that it was ten past midnight.

My lips opened wide as a yawn escaped my mouth. My left hand fell towards Elijah's side of the bed, and I frowned when I felt how cold the sheets were.

I glanced towards his side of the bed and realized that he was not there. I sat up before I looked towards the bathroom. The lights were out.

I then looked towards the walk-in closet and then towards the surveillance room, and no luck.

With a small frown on my face, I stood up from the bed and went to the third door. Elijah has warned me one too many times not to walk around the house all on my own, so I had to check where he was through the cameras before I decided to leave the room.
