Chapter 24

Javier's Pov

I've been in this meeting for hours now and it feels like my head could split it two from the migraine. I guess Juan noticed because he brought my pain relief pills which I thanked him for.

Soon the meeting was over, everything had went well as planned. I glanced at my wrist watch – it's few minutes to dinner time – I need to get home soon.

I got into the back seat of the car and we hit the road while I try to relax. I try to place my head on the headrest for a bit, the headache is still excruciating. The drive felt short to me, although it wasn't. Juan came down and opened the door for me.

“Thank you.” I said to him as I came down.

I made my way into the house, nobody seems to be in sight. I'll just go up to my room, have some warm bath and rest my head a little before I come down for dinner.
