Parents'Disapproval

On the other side of the door, Nicole's lips quivered as she watched her parents sitting up, in bed. Her eyes were filled with so much remorse as she observed them.

There were different marks and scars on their bodies and she was only able to see them clearly now.

"Are... Are you okay?" She asked as she stepped toward them, slowly. Her thudded in her chest, not knowing how they would react to her presence.

She didn't want them to push her away however, their indifferent gazes were on her.

Her question, however, didn't get a reply. By this time, she was beside her mother's bed, and in the next second, she stretched her hand and held onto her mother's hand.

"I'm sorry! Mum." Nicole said and then burst into tears. Her breath was shaky as she traced the scars on Mrs. Liu's arm. For every scar, she felt a cut through her heart.

Slowly, she turned to look at Mr. Liu, "Forgive me, Father!" She said, with a bow of her head.

However, he didn't reply to her. He turned to look outside the win
