Chapter Twenty-seven

Storm's POV

My bones were aching and I thought I heard one of them snap out of place. Noah snickered and slid down to the ground, taking the spot next to me.

He also lay on the ground but was on his side facing me. I turned and lay on my side to face him. Although this man was out of breath and sweating, he still managed to look flawless and perfect. How did he do it?

"You did good, no, scratch that, you did amazing. I didn't expect you to last this long. I thought you would have been done immediately after the laps but you have great stamina, almost like that of a lycan. If I didn't know better, I would say you had lycan blood running through your veins. " He joked. I froze, I didn't know why his last words had an effect on me even when I knew he was saying the truth.

I laughed nervously, trying to loosen the tension in my muscles. " I'm just glad that I was able to keep up with you, I didn't think I would have been able to."
