Double date

I let out a loud groan as the sunbeams pierced through my open window and landed on my face. In bed, I stirred and instinctively covered my head with the pillow.

Another day had begun, and I despised it. My own carelessness forced me to ignore the woman I loved the most.

I knew she resented me, and any attempt to communicate would likely result in her lashing out at me. However, I had to maintain my distance from Cassie to protect her until I found a new way to handle Becky.

I removed the pillow from my head and sat up, realizing my disheveled hair and the fact that I was only wearing boxers.

Last night didn't go as planned. I had hoped to spend more time with Cassie, but that witch intervened and ruined everything within minutes.

Letting out a sigh of disgust, I shook my head, remembering how I had pretended to be in love with Becky, holding her at the party.

"Disgusting," I muttered as I got out of bed. As I made my way to the bathroom, a knock on the door interrupted me.
