'Grandma,' I muttered as I inspected the dress the two face bitch gave me. I officially despise her. I sigh looking at the dress with no hope.

This is the 21st century and yet the witch gave me a dress that someone wore in the 18th century for bedtime reading. I curse that woman. How dare she give me this? Claire knows how to pay back gratitude.

I shook my head in disappointment and threw the dress back on the bed. I open the door to my assigned room and peek outside to see if anyone in this pack passes by. Unfortunately, there is no one.

I let out another sigh and slam the door. I walk back to the bed and lay down on it, watching the white-grey color ceiling.

Someone knocks on my door, ignoring it I turn to the other side of the bed and wish for whoever is outside to get lost. I heard the door creak open and then a footstep. Oh my, can't he/she see that I am not in the mood.

"I want scissors" I demanded to whoever is in the room and turn on my back, facing the ceiling again.

"For?"

"I can't believe you sent a perv to bring me my bags" I complain to Aberdeen on the phone and she laughs at my dismay."No, he's not. Angus is a good kid, and he just had a crush on you," she replied and I could hear her trying to hold in her laughter. Angus was one of the guys in the pack who was already mated but still tries to have his way with me. He told Aber and Josh that it was just a crush but he still try to flirt with me. Therefore, finding him at the pack's door early in the morning, with my luggage, made me want to scream 'bloody murder.' If only Alpha Josh was nearby and we could teleport easily. I would do it and give him a piece of my mind on the douche bag, he sends over with my luggage. Letting out a heavy sigh I check the time and see that it's 7 am. I bid Aber goodbye on the phone. I threw the phone on my bed and went in the shower to get ready. Angus wasn't my only problem this morning. The Alpha was a douche too. He sent one of his warriors earlier to give me a

Three weeks laterThe training was hard and Daluna's techniques are hard to cope with. Trying to master it within a month is not a good thing. It was weeks of struggle and stress. After our last training, Jenna a girl I befriended two weeks ago walks beside me back to the packhouse. The incident on my first dinner here made everyone cast me out and I didn't know they held grudges for so long. However, tonight will be my last dinner in Daluna's Pack and they still didn't forgive me and it doesn't mean I didn't try. Believe it! I did but they wouldn't bother. Claire was being a total bitch to me throughout this one month. Indeed, who cares as if my mate would care. I'm going back today and I would never come back here again since I'm unwanted here."I can tell you can't wait to go home," whisper Jenna and I nod my head. "Yep, I cannot wait to be out of this awful pack," I said in a teasing tone. She pushes me forward playfully and I retaliate by pushing her back."What can't beat me," I

I woke up and found myself still lying in front of the bedroom door. I couldn't believe I cried myself to sleep over nothing. Right! If only it was nothing but no it wasn't, as everything is not okay right now.I get up from the floor and walk towards the window. I open the curtain and look out to see that it is dark outside. Turning around I walk back to find the switch for the lights. When I found it I switch it on, filling the entire room with lights. I pull off my clothes before going to the shower. I spent another hour there. Most of the time I zone out while taking a shower. My thoughts were back to Jenna's words earlier. I can't believe the way fate plays out for me. After my shower, I dry my body with my towel and put on black sweatpants and then a rainbow sweater. I wanted to sleep but my stomach betrays me when it growls with hunger. So, I make my way to the kitchen, hoping everyone is asleep by now. Stumbling my way inside the kitchen I look everywhere for food and only fin

All I could see is darkness. There is no source of light.I cried out for help hours ago but nobody was there to help us or rather for me alone. Claire was nowhere in sight. I don't know where they have taken her. I hear footsteps coming then the door opens widely. Finally, I am now seeing a light. Two hunters came in and dragged me by my hair without saying anything. Their hold on my hair hurts even though I'm a werewolf, it still hurts. I don't even know where they were taking me again. They drag me out of the house then into an SUV van, then blindfold me.The car stopped and I felt hands on my arms. When they took off the blindfold I look around and saw that we were now in a clearing. We were in the woods in the middle of nowhere and I am not familiar with the surroundings. Then all of a sudden figures came out of the trees. I first saw Eric coming out from behind a tree, then following Lucian. My wolf Eliz howls with excitement that our mate is here. Then we saw the alpha of the M

I couldn't stop my silent tears from falling on our way back to the hunters' place. When we arrived at their hideout they lock me in one of the rooms in the house. I sat down on a chair reminiscing on today's event. Ten minutes later the door opens up again and in walks a huge guy, not like hulk. He put clothes on the bed, giving me a smirk before licking his lips. It wasn't even sexy or hot but rather a gross one. 'Oh gosh, I can't believe he's so disgusting.' "Get changed and make sure to look your best bitch. Each one of us will have a go with you. I'll make sure to be first in class," he said and winks in my direction. I pretend to look away and act like I didn't hear it. However, I can feel fear creeping into my veins. He went out and I walked up to the bed. I take a look at the dress he put on the bed. The dress was more like lingerie. The only thing this could cover is my ass and boobs and the rest is for show. I put it back on the bed and sat down thinking of possible ways

  • A Mate For The Latecomer   Chapter 13: Sweet Escape

Everything was a bit blurry to me. One second Jay tackled down the hunter who came inside the room, and the next thing I knew there was loud screaming within the house. People were cussing around and then follow by gunshots and howls. 'Wait only wolves can howl?' Eliz whimpers. Footsteps were heard moving to the other side. Metal and furniture in the hallway were being thrown everywhere. However, I stood there in shock trying to comprehend what is going on. Jay, after killing the hunter who is now lifeless on the ground, grabbed my hand and made our way out of the room. He runs to wherever he is taking me. I don't fully trust him but he is my only hope to escape for now. We kept running down the hallway. The house was indeed huge. I remember Jay says he's a human but seriously his speed was of someone who is a werewolf. When we got to the living room bodies were lying everywhere and that's when I saw a big black wolf bathed with blood standing in the corner. It snarls at Jay barin

"He did it again," I told Aberdeen as I cried in her arms while she rocks me back and forth like a child. "I thought of giving him a chance but he chose her over me." I still couldn't control my emotions. "It hurts so much Aber, first off he kills me and now he kills me again yesterday. He left me there to die," I cried.Aberdeen hushes me but I just couldn't stop right away. I didn't know how and when I fell asleep in her arms. I woke up to the sunlight shining through my room's window. I got up from the bed and went to get ready. Looking in my mirror after taking a shower I told myself that I won't let him or anyone degrade me again. Twice is enough. I pick out a high waist skirt that reaches right above my knee and an off-shoulder spaghetti top. Then I put on my wedges and did a little bit of my makeup. Afterward, I walk back to my nightstand to retrieve my small purse. I turn around and shriek aloud when Aberdeen surprises me in the room. I scolded her "what the hell Aber?" My

"Elle, were you even listening?" Josh asked me with a bit of disappointment. Smiling around foolishly I decided to do what others do even though it was a crazy idea."Yes, Alpha I did" I lied to him, hoping he doesn't see right through it.'No, you didn't' Eliz's counterpart through our link. 'So help save us here. I know you were paying attention, Eliz,' I replied and hope she would help me out.'Well guess what? Not this time human,' she stubbornly ignores my plea. 'Eliz, just help me out this one time please' I beg her again in my head.I know that she did listen. Eliz is always the one who pays attention when it comes to meetings in our pack and she never misses any details of it. While me, her human side wants to be out of there every time they discuss war against rogues and war against hunters. I am not a very good student"And your answer to that?" this time it was the Moonbridge Alpha who asked. I glare at him and link to Eliz again. 'Eliz' I groan and she hurriedly told me wh

On a red full moon, for the first time in the history of werewolves, the sky pierced and four souls were reborn again, with the same features in the same world. The moon goddess has frozen the time and has taken everything back to where it was. It was as if she was playing a video where you keep hitting the replay button. We have been running in the woods, Eliz felt it refreshing since we haven't shifted when we were in the humans’ realm. We cross our border and made it to another territory probably Eric's. Then we continue to walk before we reach his. Aaron wants us to talk to the place where we first met.The first question I ask him as we walk was "How's everyone doing?" and he told me that they were all okay. So Zeus’s pack is now combined with his and now he's the Alpha. We talk about other random stuff about how my life in the human realm was and how I had to cope with everything until we reach that spot again. I pick up from our conversation that he never mentioned anything about Claire so I decided to ask him. I was thinking maybe he didn't want to since it could make things awkward."How's everything with Claire?"Aaron stopped this time and he turn

Eric was wrong when he said that I could love freely and move on from the past. A part of me was still stuck there not moping in losing or never having a Mate but for the fact that life wasn't fair for all. Yet we cannot blame life itself as it is also our fault for being selfish.I stood there as his pack warriors lowered the casket down, Alphas and betas from other packs stood by it. They have come to pay tribute to the warriors and the Alpha of Daluna for their bravery.Aaron was nowhere in sight even Claire, the fake bitch was busy pretending to be miserable in her room. She wanted to earn everyone's pity and sympathy while deep down inside she wanted Aaron to be there for her, to take another chance. It must have been so good to have two people who fought over her, it must have been good to her for having a backup to a happy life-ending.I watch as one of the elders concluded the sermon and then one by one Alpha, Betas and the attendees left. "I remember the first time I saw you," he says as he holds on to my hand. "You're everything I could ever wish and want to have. It was the first time I agreed with my wolf on something," his lips curved in a smile as if he is reminiscing that day."I want to be the best mate but then I couldn't. I just couldn't turn everything around. It wasn't fair for you Elle." I try to pull my hand away from his but he held it tight. "Please at least hear me out," he begs me."No Eric I can't. I... I...I don't think I can" I stutter as I tried to tell him not to go there with my tears almost bursting from my eyes. However, he pleaded with me to hear him out. Therefore, I ended up staying with him in his room.Eric raised his body and I try to help him but he stops me. "I can do it, Elle," he says as he leans his back against the bed's headboard. He took my hand and then made me sit in front of him. His hand reaches out and caresses my cheek. He touches me as if he is scared that I might break

  • A Mate For The Latecomer   Chapter 37: Truth

I lay on my bed with my hands on my stomach and eyes staring at the darkness of my room. It had been a while since I woke up and instead of walking around, I stay right there on my back with thoughts running through my head.I had blocked Eliz because I didn't want her to pester me to see Eric. Right now, I want to enjoy this peace before facing another storm. I didn't want to have hopes for my mate as our fate had been doomed before I even came into his life. However, what I want to do is to tell him that I am thankful and that I have forgiven him for everything. It's a good plan for moving forward and for my peace. When I have enough time of thinking, I pull off the sheet from my body and stood up to turn on the lights. I then went to the bathroom to wash my face, letting my barricade with Eliz break. I then tie up my black hair in a ponytail and for the first time, I look better. Actually, I feel better.I stood there watching my reflection. It's like I'm looking at a new me. Eliz

The news of Cascarade Pack being wiped out by rogues and hunters made me feel so many different emotions and I am drowning inside. I shouldn't feel this way for them, however, the bad deeds done by others do not define the innocent people and young pups that were living in the Cascarade pack.It was hard to understand how the massacre happened and why we were never being informed about it but when Jay explains to us what happened we then understood. He told us that the Cascarade Pack was attacked on the same day, and the rogues tried to kidnap me. It was a surprise attack that no one was prepared for it and so none of the neighboring and allied packs were informed. The wounded warrior that was carried in here, is the only survivor that has been on the runs from the rogues and hunters for days.I can imagine the horror the warrior went through and I hope he survives as his condition is too critical at the moment.
