Vanessa's point of view.

"Mary, I don't understand," I scrambled my words together tying to form a coherent sentence.

I didn't understand what was happening. I doubted I had contacted Mary at all.

"Surprise," She said. She waved her hand in the air but did not move from where she stood. I guessed she didn't know what to do with me the same way I didn't know what to do with her.

"What are you doing here? Who brought you here?" I asked the moment I found my voice.

The smile on her face faltered a bit and she looked to the side. I had forgotten Dave was even there.

"Vanessa," He started, "Victoria told me about Mary and the fact that she was worried sick about you and Victor, she hadn't heard from you in a long time and..."

"So she went behind my back and told her about me? Did anyone think to ask me the reason why I didn't want Mary here?" I screamed out. I was angry at that moment, I hated when something that would affect me directly was done and no one thought it would be okay to ask

After all, Dave was staying in s hotel close by and taking care of everything in the club."That man gives of a I love you vibe," Mary commented when Dave was gone. She held baby Xavier in her arms and did kissy faces at him while stroking his cheeks. She looked really happy to just be here."He doesn't love me Mary, he might have a little crush though but let's not forget he's married with three kids and almost as old as my father," I told her.I attended to some of the bills of the month, Victor had managed them for a while but I had to be completely sure he had done a good job. I couldn't risk anything."So? And he's older than your father," She said.I rose an eyebrow at that, how does she know that?"What?" I asked."He's older than your dad actually," She continued, "When we met, I was so bored in the car after all the paperwork they made me sign and t

Anthony's point of viewTwo years felt like ten years but finally it was over. It was officially the day the contract was null and void.Vanessa was no longer my wife and in a way, I was a single man."Well finally, congratulations," Josephine said to me that morning. She had kept her a calender in the kitchen of the apartment where she marked this day on.I should have known she would be there this morning. I had been very successful in my attempts of avoiding her while we lived in the same house."Thank you," I said sarcastically, "When are you moving out?" I asked her.The same question I asked whenever I saw her. I was so sick and tired of seeing her face, most of the time I wondered what I had even see in her when we were still fucking. She sighed, "We're meant to be together Anthony, celebrate your divorce today by hitting the drinks with me. We could have a good time and enjoy ourselves," She winked at me.I had to stop myself from shuddering out in disgust. "The last time I d

Anthony's point of view Victoria sent me the details and a long ass video of a sister hunting this dude down because he hurt her sister and she was seeking revenge.I was a little bit scared after that. But I was excited, even Josephine could not dampen my mood."Are you moving out?" She asked me.I hadn't expected to hear her voice, we shared separate bedrooms and stayed far away from each other. Correction.I stayed far away from her."I have something to attend to somewhere and I won't be back for a while," I told her simply.I folded the last t-shirt I was bringing with me into the bag and looked up at her. Josephine wanted to actually celebrate my divorce day because I couldn't understand why for the love of the heavens she was dressed in such a skimpy lingerie and had on makeup.I grimaced when I remembered that this used to turn me on.She pursed her lips, "I was hoping we could do something fun, since you're a free man now and nothing you do will weigh you down," She said, he

Anthony's point of viewCame back to the club the next day dressed in my normal attire. I was ready to talk to her now, whatever happened during the conversation would determine what would happen afterwards. We needed to get everything settled."Good morning," I said the bartender, took a seat directly opposite him, "I want another martini," I continued. He nodded and went backward to bring a martini bottle. This was my way to get him to talk about what I needed."Here you go sir," He said."Thank you,"I opened the drink and took a sip. I wasn't really interested in drinking it."There was a lady here yesterday, I think she's your manager or something," I told the bartender then took another sip from the Martini to act nonchalant."She has a child."The bartender shrugged, "Yes, our manager is a lady. What's the issue?" He asked.Well it seemed like this guy was going to be a problem. "No issue actually, I like her and want to talk to her. Perhaps even flirt with her or something or

Anthony's point of view"Get the fuck out of my house," Again Vanessa shouted at me."I'm not leaving," That was my reply to her.She stared at me at first then brought out her phone like she wanted to make a call, but she dropped it back "And you shouldn't have shouted at Victor that way, he had no fault in this entire situation and was just happy to see me," I tried to explain, "He even tried to warn me so I can leave, he didn't want to upset you."Vanessa's eyes softened for a few seconds but then they were hard again. She wasn't convinced and was still mad. Hopefully she wasn't mad at Victor anymore but I knew she was still mad at me."Well that's just perfect for you, the fact that you had the boy in your clutches so he couldn't even stay years without you but broke down in a few months," She snorted. She went forward and picked baby Xavier in her arms and then walked far away from me. I understood what she was trying to do though, she wanted to get as far away from me as possi

Vanessa's point of viewRegrets. Confusion. Those were the only emotions I felt throughout Anthony's little visit and when he left. Then I felt disappointment because of the way my body reacted to him when he came, when he had us against the wall. The warmness and heat that seemed to pool in between my legs was something I hadn't felt for a very long time. I thought it was because of the pregnancy or childbirth so I didn't think anything was wrong with me.Then Victor. Oh my baby. I had done something I hadn't expected myself to do, all in all I behaved rather poorly when I thought about it."Victor," I whispered before knocking on his door.I had this nagging feeling that Victor would be gone from his room and from my life because he couldn't stand the kind of sister I had become. He would go back to the waiting arms of Elizabeth Thorn."Victor," I called out again, knocked harder but still no response. Was this the silent treatment phase? I opened the door and walked in to find Vic

Vanessa's point of viewThe light was blindingly bright and annoying. They should tell the hospital team to work better and build better lights so someone wouldn't wake up and then think she had gone to heaven. The beeping sound of the machine attached to me annoyed me but I let it be, I was still a little bit detached from reality and I did not want to do anything I would regret later on.A figure was seated on the chair by the side, head bent so I couldn't figure out who she was on time. It was Victoria though."Victoria," I tried to call out, my voice felt scratchy and hoarse from lack of use.She didn't stir so I figured out she was asleep. I did not know how long she had been with me so I allowed her to sleep. I drifted off to sleep few minutes later.I woke up two times after. The second time no one was with me and I was groggily anxious, I almost ripped the needles they had attached to me. Luckily a doctor walked into the room at that exact time and was able to sedate me.I sa

Anthony's point of viewEverything was a blur after that. Mom kept on screaming, she lost that calm composure she normally had whenever something was amiss. Mary started crying profusely and Vanessa tried to calm her down.It was all chaotic.Dad however, brought out a cigarette from from his pocket and lit the stick up. He took in a huge drag from the stick and blew the air out.In all my years of living, I had never seen my dad smoke before. I guessed you don't know everyone, not even someone you've lived with for a huge chunk of your life and once considered your role model."What's the matter boy? Haven't seen your old man smoking before?" He asked then smiled at me. He looked creepy now.Another stick was brought out of his pocket and extended towards me. He wanted me to join him.I moved backwards, "I'm sorry but I don't smoke" I told him.He chuckled, the sound different somehow. More morbid."Everyone dabbles in sin now and then, helps us keep a sharp mind," He told me.The so

Vanessa's point of viewThe dinner was Anthony's idea. He invited Elizabeth and Daniel, Ronald and Mary and I invited Victoria and Victor. I invited my dad and mom."I want to stay away from anything the Thorns are involved in dearest, I'm sorry but I won't be able to make it," Mom politely declined."There's no problem but I would be able to call you so you can chip your opinions right,?" I asked her.I could see her weighing her options, deciding if this would be worth the risk."My friend is suffering in silence, something needs to be done to stop this guy once and for all," I chipped in the one thing I knew would help the case. The one thing she might agree to.She sighed, "You can call me whenever you need to buy make sure they don't get my number."I ended the call and went back to preparing for the dinner.Anthony had been quiet for the past few hours after he decided that this was what we needed. He just went about playing with Xavier and staying out of my way.I watched them

  • A Marriage Of Convenience   Chapter Eighty Three- Your father Daniel

Anthony's point of view. The sound of Vanessa's moans was the only thing I could hear. The way she called my name and begged me to touch her whenever I teased her for too long was something my body had missed for so long."Princess, you have to relax," I teased her with my teeth, gently nipping on the nipple while I played with the other breast with my hand. She would have glared at me if she could, "Stop wasting precious time, Victor would be back with Xavier soon," She said admist moans of pleasure.I chuckled, "Tell me how much you want me then princess," I slid two fingers inside her and curved it upwards, gently massaging with enough added pressure."I am going to kill you Anthony," She tried to say but the moans was too much for her, she was almost a whimpering mess underneath me.I stopped immediately I knew she was on the verge of an orgasm. I withdrew my hand and just lowered my mouth downwards to place a kiss on her neck."You're torturing me," She whispered in my ears, her

  • A Marriage Of Convenience   Chapter Eighty Two- You have got to be kidding me

Vanessa's point of viewI was alone again for a few minutes. Mom had to make a call and her absence for those minutes gave me the time to reflect on what she had said about Daniel and the sort of things Dad's friends did to her.If she wasn't lying then something other the drugs was seriously wrong with dad. He hadn't even had the decency of telling us about this.Trading your wife to your friends was the sickest type of thing anyone could do. It was absolutely disgusting. The door opened again and mom came inside the room. I was more than ready to leave this place but something in me told me she wouldn't be as open as she was here outside. She was secure enough to say such things here. She wasn't secure outside."Did you tell any of my siblings this?" I asked."No, I don't think I can tell them. They wouldn't understand especially that sister of yours, Victor wasn't attached to me when I was there, sometimes I even thought he hated me," She said, I felt the pain in her voice even tho

Vanessa's point of view"Isn't it better we just put this all behind us, honestly I don't think we should meet that woman and open old wounds," Victoria tried to talk me out of the it that day.I was back in Los Angeles and we were all in the house together. Anthony wanted to come with but he had some pressing matters to attend to in town, he kept in touch though.I then turned to Victor, he had a right to give me his opinion too.He shrugged, "She left when I was young and I wouldn't lie and say I don't want to know the reasons and meet her, I honestly do but it's too much, I don't think I'm ready yet," He turned his face to the side so I wouldn't see the tears that were already forming in his eyes."I'm still trying to prevent the bad memories of dad from coming to the surface when I come close to him," He added.I pursed my lips at those words. I had to make Victor see a therapist to help him, what was I saying..... The entire family needed to see a therapist because there must be

Vanessa's point of view"What the heck?"I did not know who uttered those words between Anthony and myself. Out of all the scenerios I had imagined would happen when I finally came to this house, this wasn't what I expected."Josephine," That was definitely Anthony, he held the baby's head with his hand because the shock of the first shout had startled him and he was crying.Anthony had also had the intelligence to bring out his phone and he started recording the scene. He gave me the phone to continue so he could rock Xavier back to sleep."I did not know you were coming now," Josephine jumped out of the man's body, his dick was limp now as he tried to wear his clothes as fast as he could.Anthony seemed to know him."I didn't expect this from any of you, especially you. You're fucking married," Anthony shouted at the man, I was still recording but I made sure Anthony wasn't in the clip.Just Josephine and the man."I'm so sorry, I'm sorry," The man kept on repeating, when he was don
