Elijah was worried, he hadn't heard from her since Saturday. Had something happened? He was in his office going over the piece of paper for the third time, he couldn't concentrate. He didn't know how it happened but he really cared about her. He was going to pick her up from school later today. Knocking on his door made him pull away from his thoughts. "Come in!" He called and straightened his poster.
Elena, one of his employees walked in, her heels clicking against the floor he tried to hold in his groan. She was trying to hard. He didn't understand because they had already slept together. A night which he would regret for the rest of his life. He had thought it would make her lay off his back but no, it's as if she had pierced her claws into his back and was obsessed with him.
"Mr. Maddox." He couldn't help but notice the way she spoke in a low voice, he stared at her as she closed his office door before turning the lock. He rolled his eyes as he quickly shut his shirt buttons he had undone. He watched as she turned around a seductive smile on her face.
"I've been waiting for round two, way too long." The beautiful woman whispered her voice low and sexy, she wanted the man. Maybe it had to do with the fact that she couldn't stop thinking about how good he had made her feel that night or the fact that she was just horny but she will not stop until she got what she wanted. And she always got what she wanted.
Three streets down away from where Elijah worked, Charlotte and Amara had completely forgotten about their lives back at home, they were enjoying each others company and making fun of people way too much. They walked down the busy street that was filled with different kinds of shops. Although Charlotte was having the time of her life, she just couldn't shake her thoughts away.
Was it really that bad, that her parents were leaving? She was surprised by her reaction, to be quite honest. This is what she's always dreamed of. "Amara, there's something I need to tell you, can we go sit somewhere and have a drink?" She spoke cutting her friends words in half. Amara paused in surprise not being able to reply for a few seconds.
She cleared her throat and looked at her as she nodded. "Sure." Charlotte was nervous, she didn't know why. There was nothing for her friend to say, she just wanted to let her know. But then she remembered she also would have to tell her where she was going to live. And that was what she was most nervous about.
They walked for a few more minutes as Amara resumed her story, Charlotte tried to listen for the most part but she was easily distracted by the shops, there were things she just found weird. And shopping was one of it, she detested shopping. She had tried once but it was impossible and she didn't know how or why, but the hours passed way to quickly whenever she'd shop.
So, that's why whenever she needed something she would first try online shopping, if she didn't find anything she liked on there. She would go to her favourite shops: Zara, Don't call me Jennifer and sometimes she'd visited Primark just for fun. She wished she had money to visit the expensive shops but this was her life, there's was nothing she could do. She tried to get jobs but it was just too hard.
As if on reflex Charlotte grabbed her friends arm and looked both ways before they crossed the street. Amara had a habit of crossing without looking, she would not be surprised if one day she got a call from her friend saying she was in the hospital because of this. Just the thought of it caused her to chuckle making her friend pause and look at her. "What?" She smiled as they walked towards the Starbucks that stood just a few feet away from them.
The two girls couldn't help but instantly feel intimidated as they stared around the coffee shop, almost everyone was dressed in suits and fancy clothes. Amara's choice of clothes was not bad, but Charlotte on the other hand. She couldn't help but feel embarrassed, she had a pair of worn out trainings and a white shirt on. She truly looked like a tom boy. She moved closer towards her friend as they made their way to the counter to give their order.
"Good morning." The beautiful burnet behind the desk politely smiled at them as she tapped a few times on the screen, Amara was the first to answer since she usually came here. "I'll have a Pumpkin Spice Latte, please." She spoke as she fisted her wallet from her bag. Charlotte had never drunk Starbucks coffee she thought the price was way to fucking high, but for this one time she was okay with it. But right now she was confused out of her mind, did it mean that there was pumpkin in the coffee?
She winced when her friend elbowed her, she looked up and saw the girl patiently waiting for her order, her ears started heating up and she was glad her hair were covering them. "Umm...I'll have a Caffe Latte." She spoke and pulled her phone out of her pocket, removing the 10€ billet and handing it to the girl.
She frowned when she only got 3€ back. Wow, those prices are exaggerating. She couldn't help but feel bad, she wanted to ask her money back. But then she realised she was being a cheap person, so she simply smiled and told the girl her name before both turned around and searched for a place.
"Dude, did you see the prices?" She couldn't help but whisper to her friend. Amara chuckled, and nodded agreeing with her friend.
"I know right." She replied as they walked towards the two chairs that were available near the window. They sat down, but both felt awkward since now almost everyone could see them. Charlotte felt like everyone had their eyes on her, and she was trying her hardest to ignore her panic. So, she tried to distract herself by starting to tell her friend what was happening in her life.
"Okay, there's something I need to tell you. But you can't talk until I finish. And I don't want you to judge me." She warned her friend who only smiled and nodded. "Promise?" She questioned.
"Yes, I promise." Amara replied and leaned closer into her friend to hear her clearer. Her friend was a soft talker, and sometimes it annoyed her but that's just how her oldest friend was and she wouldn't have it any other way.
"Okay, so I don't how this happened, but my parents are moving back home." There! She said it, she couldn't help but feel like a weight was lifted off her shoulders, she just wanted to accept it to tell someone so she knew this was really happening. Then came the sadness, which she couldn't explain. She felt like she was about to cry. She pulled her phone out and unlocked it and tried to distract herself. This was a bad idea.
She bite on her lip and took deep breaths as she pushed the tears away. She couldn't help but feel like this was her fault. They were leaving her here so she'd have a life, and she still felt guilty. She couldn't explain it but then there was a part of her that felt like they were abandoning her. They were leaving her here all alone. With some stranger.
She bend her head down, her hair shielding her face as a few tears escaped her eyes. "I'm so sorry, I don't know why I'm crying." She couldn't help but apologise. She felt her friend lean in closer before she felt a hand land on top of hers.
"Hey, it's okay to cry." Amara reassured, sure this wasn't the place to cry but she was glad Charlotte was letting herself feel, her friend was known to keep her feelings inside. She wasn't any better, but she did have her crying days. She tightened her hand as she heard Charlotte take in a deep breath. A few seconds passed, and the silent was almost comforting. They didn't need to talk to know that they would always be by each other's side.
The waitress came by their table placing their drinks on it making them pull apart, she weirdly looked at them before smiling. "Thank you." Amara spoke and sighed when the waitress walked away.
"Do you have a tissue?" Charlotte spoke making her friend nod even though she couldn't see her. She was handed a tissued and with it wiped her tears before blowing her nose into it. She took a deep breath and looked up. "Are my eyes red?" She questioned Amara who chuckled in reply.
"A little." Amara replied, and grabbed her coffee before sipping on it. Charlotte rolled her eyes in annoyance, before she started fanning them. "You know that's not going to help right?" She couldn't help the amusement.
"Yes, I know." Charlotte groaned and looked around hoping no one had seen, and luckily for her no one paid attention to the two weird girls. But she couldn't help but feel like everyone knew. She was anxious.
"Okay, now are you good to tell me the rest of the story?" Amara wanted to know more, was her friend leaving her?
"Okay, just give me a second." Charlotte winced and grabbed her coffee. She started telling her friend the rest of the story occasionally sipping on her coffee.
"And so yeah, I'm going to be living here all alone with some stranger." She finished; Amara was surprised to say the least. She knew Charlotte's parents; it was weird that they had trusted someone.
"I don't know what to say, I'm shocked." She told her friend, Charlotte shrugged and stared out of the window at the passing cars and the people that were walking beside the shop.
Charlotte was in need of glasses, she knew that. She was just lazy to make an appointment, but whenever the headaches would come she'd curse herself out. And right now it wasn't any different, she knew the person that was walking towards the doors of the Starbucks was familiar she didn't know how but she just did. She squinted her eyes and stared at the familiar gorgeous face.
"Shit." She quickly let out before bending her head back down. She hoped he hadn't seen her. Ever since what happened Saturday and after she had blocked him, she never bothered to reply to his messages. She also didn't know how she could tell her parents she was meeting up with him. She thought they'd start thinking something was up.
Amara stared around in confusion trying to figure out who her friend had seen. She saw a man almost twice her size looking towards them before he adverted his eyes. She didn't think anything of it until Charlotte kicked her leg under the table. She cursed and glared at her friend who was shielding her face with her hand. "Stop looking." Charlotte warned as she glared at her friend. Amara rolled her eyes but still did what was asked.
"Can I at least know whom were hiding from?" She asked and for some reason Charlotte didn't want to tell her, she wanted Elijah to be her dirty little secret.
"Oh there's a friend of my dads and I don't want him to see me." Well, it technically wasn't a lie, he was her dads friend, she just didn't mention that he was the one she was going to live with. She quickly grabbed her phone and unblocked Elijah's number. She typed in the message but then instantly deleted it, maybe he hadn't seen her. She bite down on her lower lip as her friend ignored her and was busy typing on her phone. Before she could contemplate her choices her phone pinged with a new message.
'I need to speak to you.' It read, she looked up and sure enough he was staring her way. Her cheeks heated up in embarrassment as she quickly adverted her eyes and looked down at her phone. She typed in her reply before locking her phone.
"Let's go." She quickly told her friend who looked away from her phone startled by the sudden out burst.
"What? Why?" She questioned not wanting to go just yet.
"I forgot I had to go somewhere." She lies making her friend raise an eyebrow in suspicion.
"Was that your dad?" She rolled her eyes, sometimes she just wanted to slap some senses into her friend. She could never enjoy her free days just because she was selfless in the wrong moments. "Fine." She groaned as they grabbed their coffees and stood up.
Charlotte occasionally lied to her friend, but none of the lies she had told till now were as big as this one. She felt bad but she just wasn't ready to tell her yet. She wasn't even sure if Elijah and Amara would ever meet so what was the point, her friend hadn't bothered to know who she was staying with anyway so she didn't tell her.She stared down at her phone and wondered where she had heard the name of the street before. She opened Maps on her phone and typed in the address. Elijah had sent her, his office address and since she had seen him near the Starbucks she was at, she figured his office wouldn't be that far.And luckily for her it wasn't.She stared away from her phone after she made sure she had the right building. She couldn't help the shock, this was where he worked? The building had at least 40 floors if not more and she was sure it was one of the buildings she could see from her bedrooms window. She thought if this was a good idea. Elijah had never hurt a living soul, but he felt like he was about too. He had finally found the perfect moment, and he knew something about his tesoro was different today. Kissing someone had never felt more, right. But unfortunately, he was interrupted by his best friend, Lucas Maes. Instead of kissing her on the lips like he had planned to, he kissed her cheek making them redden more. He pulled away and turned towards his friend who stood smiling at them."Sorry, but I just wanted to see the beauty you can't stop talking about." Lucas exclaimed before moving to the side so he could see the woman that had stolen his best friends heart. To his surprise the person wasn't a woman at all, she looked like a kid. He frowned as he stared at his friend as if asking what the fuck is this? Not wanting to be an asshole to the poor girl who was red like a tomato he walked further into the office and closed the door behind him."Good morning, I'm Lucas." Elijah marched towards his office he couldn't wait to spend time with Charlotte. The few days he had seen her, were the best days of his life. He heard a pair of heels follow behind him knowing very well who it was. Why was she following him?! He stopped walking and turned around making her bump against him. He grabbed her arm and shook her a few times as anger consumed him."Stop!" He snapped making her eyes widen in surprise. "What do you want?" He questioned calmer than he was before.Elena was a stubborn woman, she wanted the man for herself even though she knew he had no feelings for her, she couldn't help but desire him. And after what she had managed to get him to do this morning she couldn't help but hope for more. "I just wanted to ask if you want to have lunch with me." She innocently smiled up at him. He was hurting her both knew that, the hard grip he had on her arm will surely bruise her but neither cared."Listen you either get, me not wanting you in your thick head or I
Charlotte could be such a dumb ass sometimes. She didn't know how she did it, but somehow she had cut her finger. Right now there were droplets of blood all around the counter. As she held her finger under the water she looked around hoping to find any kitchen towel paper. She knew the next step was going to be the pain, she was used to it by now she couldn't count how many times she had hurt herself in the past. After she made sure her finger had stopped bleeding and had cleaned the counter she went on a search to find a band aid. Somehow through her search she had made her way upstairs to the room she was going to sleep in.Charlotte could be clueless sometimes and although she had heard the shower running she still managed to enter the bathroom. She froze once she realised her bathroom was connected to Elijah's bathroom. She quickly adverted her eyes as she went to turn around and leave the room.Elijah was glad he had decided to take a shower and as much as he didn't want to leave
Charlotte had never felt such regrets in her life, for the next two days all she kept thinking about was him and what she had done. Today was the day that her parents would leave her, although she didn't want them to leave she couldn't help but be excited for the future. She stood leaning against the door frame as she stared at her mother who was searching for her brothers clothes. "Can I help?" She cleared her throat, making her mother turn towards her. Drita smiled at her daughter before tears of sadness filled her eyes. It's not that Charlotte was heartless, she truly cared about people even when she didn't want to. Charlotte stared out of the window as they passed the lines of trees which seemed to be endless. She had sat on the back away from Elijah, although he was hurt by the decision he understood. She needed time. "So, where are we going?" Charlotte cleared her throat; she was tired of drowning in her sad thoughts. If her father didn't care about her why should she?Elijah was surprised to hear her voice. "Home?" It came out more as an question and he truly felt pathetic how could a girl 10 years younger than him make him feel this way. "Do you have somewhere else to go?" He asked her clearing his throat.Charlotte lifted her head away from the window and moved closer to him. "Not really, but if you want to go home than I'm cool with it." His breath hitched when he felt her speaking next to his ear. He moved in his seat and stared at her through the rare mirror."Yeah." Charlotte woke up from her deep slumber when she found it hard to breath. Sometimes it happened. Some days whenever she woke up in the morning she had it hard to breath, she needed to stick her head outside the window to get fresh air and that's what she did. Almost tumbling all over the floor she quickly opened the window and took a deep breath. After her heart slowed to normal rate and she didn't feel like she was about to die, she turned around ready to get in bed again when she saw him.He was peacefully sleeping on his side of the bed and all of a sudden she remembered the night before. After almost a week she had finally let herself feel the anger and hurt from what her father had done. And she had begged him to sleep beside her, it's not like he was hesitant but when she had wanted to do more than sleep he had turned her down claiming she was only doing it because she was hurt. The young girl wanted to scream at him and tell him that it was indeed what she was trying to do but
Today didn't start off well, Elijah had to leave for work and Charlotte was drowning in her sorrow. She couldn't help but feel like he wanted to get away from her. Sure it was Monday but he could've called in sick. Or maybe it was her being needy. She decided to explore the rest of the house. She had seen the pool and she couldn't wait until the sun was out. She was in need of a relaxed day. As she walked through the halls, she couldn't help but feel paranoid. It was too quiet; she had never been in a house that was this quiet all the time. She really missed her brothers.Twenty minutes later she had seen every room in the house. The house was designed with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, a large living room and kitchen with backyard and of course the pool. She was too afraid to go to the basement so she decided to leave it alone. As she descended the stairs she made her way to the kitchen to see if she could find anything to eat. When she saw all the healthy food in the fridge she
Charlotte's body landed on the bed with a thump as a laugh escaped from her lips. She couldn't believe this was really happening. The desire in her grew with every second. Her body was on fire and she could barely breathe. His lips against her skin felt so forbidden but so delighting. Closing her eyes all she could imagined were the things she wanted him to do to her. His lips all over her body. His hands in her hair. On her body. All over her.Elijah hovered over her, his heart racing in his chest when the need became unbearable. He leaned; their lips connect once more. His hands went to her side until he reached the hem of her dress as his hand disappeared underneath.Charlotte gasped when his hand touched the inside of her thigh, she was wet and in need of him. Her hand running through his hair, she fisted his hair before tugging on his head making him grunt."You are so beautiful." He whispered to her, his lips went down to her neck, where he began his assault of kisses."Oh." Cha
