If not for the incident that happened back then, she would be in university, studying. Her parents should be holding balls to find suitors for her but instead, she was here, insisting that she deserves to live as an omega. Why?

It took everything in me not to open my mouth to speak and ask her why she was punishing herself like this so I calmly asked her to freshen up before I left.

Once I landed on the ground floor, I stormed out of the elevator and headed straight for the back of the house. My mind was a whirlwind of emotions, but one thought kept surfacing above all else- Daniel.

I needed to find him. I needed to make him pay for what he did to Lucienne, for turning her into someone she wasn't meant to be. The rage bubbled inside me, fueling my thoughts as I reached the secluded spot where I usually stashed my clothes before shifting.
