Tamara's POV

I stood there, horrified and heartbroken but I refused to give up.

"But this is my house Jack! I’m the Luna of the winter pack so I get to say who—“

“You don’t get to say anything alone Luna! Have you forgotten that we merged our packs when I claimed you?” Jack interrupted. "I have an equal say in everything. Stop being selfish and think of others for once. Kate will stay with us and that’s final." He declared in a firm unyielding Alpha tone.

I felt my blood boil as I watched Jack scoop Kate up in his arms and carry her to one of the bedrooms upstairs.

She still had that smug smile on her face. That bitch!

Kate had won this round, and unless I did something drastic, she would continue to win. But what could I do?

The logical thing would be to break up with him now so we don’t get married and he doesn’t kill me in the future right?

But there was one problem. Our packs had already merged to become one, and as my pack had grown, Jack’s pack had grown in number and power too.

If I broke up with him, he would probably turn around and send his pack to attack my people with our own resources, and that would be a blood bath.

If I was going to break up with Jack, I had to make sure that my pack would be protected by something or someone strong enough to scare away any retaliation from Jack. But how was I supposed to find that kind of protection? Jack was scared of nobody.

I felt so choked up with emotion that it was overwhelming. I needed some space to breathe.

I left the house, stripped off my clothes and shifted into my wolf form as I ran into the woods, the cool evening air was amazing against my skin.

It felt amazing to be alive!

I felt my wolf Maya rise to the surface to speak to me. “Our parents are alive too! In this time line, our friends and loved ones are all still alive! Tamara, we have to keep them safe this time!” She urged and I agreed.

It seemed that the war and attacks that killed our parents and killed almost half of my pack hadn’t started happening yet.

According to the past timeline, in Just four months from now, Our worst enemy, the ruthless Alpha Dante would send his men to start spying on us. Then he would launch a surprise attack and kill my parents who had retired to Switzerland.

In the past, Alpha Dante had claimed that he was attacking us because my pack members had stolen from him, but we never did such a thing, we were being framed.

After that, a war broke out between us and Alpha Dante wiped out more than half of my pack members.

In the past, Kate used that opportunity to convince my people that everything was my fault. The people blamed me for the death of their loved ones, and turned their backs on me, choosing to support Kate instead.

All this would happen in just four months from now. Which meant that I only had about four months to save my self, my parents and my pack from certain death.

I ran deeper into the forest, trying to clear my thoughts but I soon got tired and decided to head home.

I was sweaty from the run, so I decided to take a shower, but just as I began to strip off my clothes, Jack walked in with an apologetic look on his face. He was also holding a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates.

I quickly pulled my top down, hiding my nakedness from him.

Jack quirked his brow at me. "Why are you hiding your breasts from me? It's not like I haven't seen before." He said and I felt like punching him. He had lost the rights to my body the day I realized he was a traitor.

“What do you want Jack?” I snapped, failing to hide my irritation from him.

Jack looked so shocked at my tone that he froze. “What’s got into you Tamara? You’ve never spoken to me like this before, did I do something wrong?” He asked and I wanted to laugh.

The only thing he did wrong was lie to me, cheat on me, betray me, and then kill me and my unborn child, but he couldn’t discover that I knew these things, so I faked another smile and sighed.

“I’m sorry darling, preparing for the wedding is making me a little tired lately.” I apologized and Jack smiled at me.

"It’s alright Tamara," he began,"I'm also very sorry for yelling at you earlier and arguing with you. I shouldn't have disrespected you in front of everyone. I swear it will never happen again. Please forgive me." He said.

I blinked at him in surprise. The Jack from my past never bought me flowers, and he never apologized so profusely. What was going on?

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Warmth and eloping

Authors note.: I understand that most of you would prefer for the chapters to come faster, so please be rest assured that I am working on a way to make you get most of the chapters at once. Thank you for reading Ivonne's POV I woke up deliciously warm. And Not just the normal kind of warm from your blankets— it was the kind that comes from being wrapped in someone’s arms, chest to back, heartbeat steady against my shoulder like it had decided to guard me through the night. For a second, I stayed still, enjoying the feeling. Then I shifted slightly but paused when I felt something poking me. I frowned in confusion for a second but then I paused when I realized what it was.It was Hector's.... Oh... Oh. I froze. Hector was… very clearly awake in a way I hadn't expected My face heated instantly. I should pull away, I thought. I should move. But… I didn’t. And what shocked me even more? I didn’t dislike it. Actually… I kind of liked it. A lot. It hit me all at once how

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Ultimatum

Ivonne's POV After my declaration, I folded my arms and leaned back against the long table in the library, staring straight at Elara as she shook her head at me like I’d just said the most ridiculous thing in the world.“I love what you said but I have to tell you thT You’re dreaming, Ivonne,” she said with a short laugh. “It’s a fantasy to think we can change traditions that have survived for centuries. You can’t just wake up one day and decide to rewrite the laws of the Lycan world.”I pushed myself upright.“I don’t care how old they are, we have to change to survive,” I said. “Humans only survived because they learned how to adapt. Because they changed with time. That’s how we became stronger.”Elara scoffed. “We’re not humans.”“And from the book I just read,” I shot back, “the first Lycan was human once. So don’t tell me we can’t learn from them.”She stared at me like I was about to start a war.“You know what you’re really asking for, right?” she said quietly. “You won’t just

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Lycan history

Ivonne's povI stared at the portrait again. The man in it looked powerful. Not cruel. Not dark. Just… a little too serious. Like someone who carried the weight of the world on his shoulders.Still, something about the way Elara looked at him made my chest feel tight.“Was he a bad man?” I asked quietly.Elara turned to me, surprised by the question. “No,” she said almost immediately. “He wasn’t.”I frowned. “Then why does your face look like that when you look at him?”Elara sighed. Not the dramatic kind. The tired, deep kind — the kind people sigh when they’re about to open a door they’ve kept locked for their personal reasons. She walked over to the tall shelf near the window and ran her fingers along the spines of dusty books before pulling one out.“I guess,” she said, turning back to me, “we’ll have to start from the basics.”She handed me the book. The cover was old, the edges worn. Gold lettering barely visible.I looked down.History of the First Lycan.“You want me to read t

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Learning more about the people

Authors note: Hey everyone, apologies for the late update, I had to take a break to rest.Ivonne's POV Elara didn’t answer my question right away.We stood in the corridor outside a building I assumed was the library, with the gemstones still flickering softly against the stone walls, and for one terrifying second, I thought I had pushed too far.“Elara…?” I asked again, my voice quieter now.She still didn’t move.My chest tightened. “I’m sorry If I brought the topic up too soon. If that question is too hard to answer right now then you don't need to —”She finally turned around. Her eyes were glossy, but not with tears. With what appeared to be memories as she began speaking.“I loved my cousin Chelsea so so much,” she said slowly. “More than anyone outside my mother.”I stayed silent, giving her space.“She was half Lycan,” Elara continued. “Which on this wretched realm meant that after her noble mother died, she was practically forced to live in the northern continent so that she

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    The Lycan rules

Ivonne's POV I stared at Athena as my mind tried to process everything she’d just said about the realm being vulnerable and Hector having to protect it.Since I couldn't let him face this alone, I decided to take initiative. “So…” I finally said, breaking the silence. “What can we do as women to help protect the realm?” Athena’s lips pressed together before she answered. “We can only pray to the goddess to help the men And we can emotionally support our partners if the attacks ever happen.” I blinked. “That’s it? Pray and talk to our partners when our people are probably being killed? I don't understand. I thought Lycans are powerful?""We are, but Lycans in this realm prefer to stick to their predetermined roles and rules." Elara shifted beside me, already looking uncomfortable. I frowned. “Wait. You mean… we’re truly not talking about helping them fight?” There was a strange pause, the kind that made me know my answer before anyone even spoke. Elara cleared her throat. “Ivon

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    The cost of friendship

Ivonne's POV I sank slowly into the armchair beside a large wide window, I was still a little nervous from the surprise of seeing all these proud Lycan noble women bowing to me. “Okay,” I said with a small smile. “Everyone, please… sit down.” The women hesitated for a second, like they weren’t sure if they were allowed to, which only made me more uncomfortable. Viera leaned on her brothers as she lowered herself into a chair, Elara followed, then Athena, sitting straight and dignified like always. Hector was still standing near the door, arms folded, his expression tight in that way I’d learned meant something was bothering him. “I’ll be right back,” he said suddenly, turning to Sevrin. “Come with me. We need to handle something.” My brows knitted together. “Is there a problem?” He paused, just for a second too long. Then he walked back to me and brushed his thumb over my knuckles. “Don’t worry about it. Just… talk with them. I’ll be back.” That didn’t make me feel be
