Tamara's POV

I stood there, horrified and heartbroken but I refused to give up.

"But this is my house Jack! I’m the Luna of the winter pack so I get to say who—“

“You don’t get to say anything alone Luna! Have you forgotten that we merged our packs when I claimed you?” Jack interrupted. "I have an equal say in everything. Stop being selfish and think of others for once. Kate will stay with us and that’s final." He declared in a firm unyielding Alpha tone.

I felt my blood boil as I watched Jack scoop Kate up in his arms and carry her to one of the bedrooms upstairs.

She still had that smug smile on her face. That bitch!

Kate had won this round, and unless I did something drastic, she would continue to win. But what could I do?

The logical thing would be to break up with him now so we don’t get married and he doesn’t kill me in the future right?

But there was one problem. Our packs had already merged to become one, and as my pack had grown, Jack’s pack had grown in number and power too.

If I broke up with him, he would probably turn around and send his pack to attack my people with our own resources, and that would be a blood bath.

If I was going to break up with Jack, I had to make sure that my pack would be protected by something or someone strong enough to scare away any retaliation from Jack. But how was I supposed to find that kind of protection? Jack was scared of nobody.

I felt so choked up with emotion that it was overwhelming. I needed some space to breathe.

I left the house, stripped off my clothes and shifted into my wolf form as I ran into the woods, the cool evening air was amazing against my skin.

It felt amazing to be alive!

I felt my wolf Maya rise to the surface to speak to me. “Our parents are alive too! In this time line, our friends and loved ones are all still alive! Tamara, we have to keep them safe this time!” She urged and I agreed.

It seemed that the war and attacks that killed our parents and killed almost half of my pack hadn’t started happening yet.

According to the past timeline, in Just four months from now, Our worst enemy, the ruthless Alpha Dante would send his men to start spying on us. Then he would launch a surprise attack and kill my parents who had retired to Switzerland.

In the past, Alpha Dante had claimed that he was attacking us because my pack members had stolen from him, but we never did such a thing, we were being framed.

After that, a war broke out between us and Alpha Dante wiped out more than half of my pack members.

In the past, Kate used that opportunity to convince my people that everything was my fault. The people blamed me for the death of their loved ones, and turned their backs on me, choosing to support Kate instead.

All this would happen in just four months from now. Which meant that I only had about four months to save my self, my parents and my pack from certain death.

I ran deeper into the forest, trying to clear my thoughts but I soon got tired and decided to head home.

I was sweaty from the run, so I decided to take a shower, but just as I began to strip off my clothes, Jack walked in with an apologetic look on his face. He was also holding a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates.

I quickly pulled my top down, hiding my nakedness from him.

Jack quirked his brow at me. "Why are you hiding your breasts from me? It's not like I haven't seen before." He said and I felt like punching him. He had lost the rights to my body the day I realized he was a traitor.

“What do you want Jack?” I snapped, failing to hide my irritation from him.

Jack looked so shocked at my tone that he froze. “What’s got into you Tamara? You’ve never spoken to me like this before, did I do something wrong?” He asked and I wanted to laugh.

The only thing he did wrong was lie to me, cheat on me, betray me, and then kill me and my unborn child, but he couldn’t discover that I knew these things, so I faked another smile and sighed.

“I’m sorry darling, preparing for the wedding is making me a little tired lately.” I apologized and Jack smiled at me.

"It’s alright Tamara," he began,"I'm also very sorry for yelling at you earlier and arguing with you. I shouldn't have disrespected you in front of everyone. I swear it will never happen again. Please forgive me." He said.

I blinked at him in surprise. The Jack from my past never bought me flowers, and he never apologized so profusely. What was going on?

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    The only face she wants to kiss

Ivonne's povHow does he know any of this?!Juatin smiles and sits on the edge of the stage and gestures for me to come closer. I walk toward him slowly, like I’m afraid something might break if I move too fast.“You were 8 years old and was very excited because you are supposed to play the Moon Goddess in the biggest show of the city that year,” he begins, voice warm and storytelling-smooth.I nod faintly. “But everything turned bad because My costume got ruined.”“Everyone knew it was Not ruined, it was intentionally Destroyed,” he corrects. “By some jealous brat who wanted your role. They said she threw paint on it? Or cut it? No one ever confessed.”I nodded as Flashes of that night burst back in my mind. I could recall the panicked adults running around, shouting, swearing, trying to salvage something that couldn’t be saved.“Everyone thought the show was over,” Justin continues. “The director was on the verge of fainting. Your mom was crying. Your dad looked like he wanted to fi

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    The shocking date

Ivonne’s POVWe soon reached the venue for our date and Justin slows the car before pulling over in front of… whatever the heck this was supposed to be.I blink at the windshield, then lean forward as if squinting will somehow make the tall run down building transform into something less… depressing. It’s an abandoned structure, gray, peeling walls, boarded-up windows, the kind of place you expect stray cats to unionize in. The whole thing looks like it’s been sitting here since the civil war, quietly accepting its fate.“…Justin?” I say slowly. “Are we lost? Did the GPS give up on life?”Justin just grins at me, dimples out like he’s proud of himself. “We’re here.”“Here where?” I gesture dramatically at the corpse of a building before us. “Because this looks like the kind of place people go right before a true-crime documentary starts.”He cuts the engine and unbuckles his seatbelt like this is all normal. “Come on.”My jaw drops. “No. No, Justin, explain. What is this?”He looks ov

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Uncle Larry's warning

Ivonne's POVBy the time I finally got downstairs, the office was almost completely empty. Thank the Goddess, because The last thing I needed was someone seeing me walk out all dressed up to meet Justin and then spreading rumors about me juggling my ex Lincoln, my fiancee Hector, and Justin like some kind of fucked up walking soap opera.I already knew the whispers in the company and the country as a whole were bad enough so I definitely didn’t need to add gasoline to that fire.I hugged my bag a little tighter and started power-walking toward the front door, hoping to slide out unseen. I was literally two steps from freedom when—“Ivonne!”Ah shit!I froze mid-stride.No. Not now.I slowly turned, already bracing myself.Mr. Larry stood near the reception, coat over one arm, his brows raised with that fatherly concern he always tried to hide but failed miserably at.“Uh… good evening, Mr. Larry,” I said, clearing my throat and forcing a smile. He walked toward me, his gaze dropping t

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Ivonne's conflict

Ivonne's POVThe moment I stepped into the Stone Enterprises lobby, the air immediately turned icy... as It always did when the staff laid their eyes on me.Even with my head held high, I could still feel the cold harsh eyes piercing though me. The stares. The judgment. Like needles pressing into my skin.I ignored them all.I had survived worse than a bunch of bitter coworkers who had too much time and too little emotional intelligence.Besides, they were cowards who were only this bold because Sevrin wasn’t here today to glare them into submission. Which, in all honestly, was a relief.Because I really needed to get used to standing against haters on my own again.Sevrin had stayed behind in the lycan realm to help Hector with some wedding-related customs—or so he claimed. I didn’t bother asking for details. I was just glad I wasn’t relying on him to scare people away for me anymore. I built myself to be strong against all opposition alone once; I could do it again.I forced my shou

Ivonne's POVMy phone suddenly lit up at that moment, it was a message from JustinI froze, glancing at Hector’s broad back. He seemed to have fallen asleep—at least I hoped he was. I carefully reached for my phone, angling the screen away from him, just in case.It really was from Justin. My stomach tightened because i had almost forgotten about him these last few days.Hi, Ivonne.I hope you’re alright. Also… we still haven’t had our date. please i hope you havent forgetten.I blinked at the message as my heart suddenly began racing. Why did it feel like I was reading something forbidden? I swallowed and quickly typed back before I could talk myself out of it.Me:We can have the date tomorrow after work. I’m free. The reply came almost instantly.Justin:Really? Perfect! I’ll pick you up from the office. Looking forward to it. I've missed you.I stared at the screen, surprised at the small sting of guilt blooming in my chest. Guilt. As if I were cheating on Hector.I shut my eyes.

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    A new dawn

Ivonne's povJust like that, whatever pieces of hope my heart was desperately clutching slipped right out of my hands. There was no future where that vision I once saw could exist. No family. No softness. No small miracle we could pretend belonged to us.We had Nothing.I shut it all down. I forced the door closed in my mind. I pushed every emotion back until my chest felt empty enough to stop hurting.“Understood. Goodnight,” I said quietly. And I turned away from him, laying as far from him as the bed allowed. He hesitated. I could feel it in the way the mattress dipped slightly, in the pause of his breathing, in the faint rustle of movement behind me.But eventually… he lay down too.And sleep—real sleep—never came for either of us....When the faint early sun filtered through the curtains, my head was pounding and my heart felt bruised.Hector sat at the little table near the window, already dressed, already up. He looked… tired. His eyes lifted the second I pushed myself to sit
