Tamara's POV

I stood there, horrified and heartbroken but I refused to give up.

"But this is my house Jack! I’m the Luna of the winter pack so I get to say who—“

“You don’t get to say anything alone Luna! Have you forgotten that we merged our packs when I claimed you?” Jack interrupted. "I have an equal say in everything. Stop being selfish and think of others for once. Kate will stay with us and that’s final." He declared in a firm unyielding Alpha tone.

I felt my blood boil as I watched Jack scoop Kate up in his arms and carry her to one of the bedrooms upstairs.

She still had that smug smile on her face. That bitch!

Kate had won this round, and unless I did something drastic, she would continue to win. But what could I do?

The logical thing would be to break up with him now so we don’t get married and he doesn’t kill me in the future right?

But there was one problem. Our packs had already merged to become one, and as my pack had grown, Jack’s pack had grown in number and power too.

If I broke up with him, he would probably turn around and send his pack to attack my people with our own resources, and that would be a blood bath.

If I was going to break up with Jack, I had to make sure that my pack would be protected by something or someone strong enough to scare away any retaliation from Jack. But how was I supposed to find that kind of protection? Jack was scared of nobody.

I felt so choked up with emotion that it was overwhelming. I needed some space to breathe.

I left the house, stripped off my clothes and shifted into my wolf form as I ran into the woods, the cool evening air was amazing against my skin.

It felt amazing to be alive!

I felt my wolf Maya rise to the surface to speak to me. “Our parents are alive too! In this time line, our friends and loved ones are all still alive! Tamara, we have to keep them safe this time!” She urged and I agreed.

It seemed that the war and attacks that killed our parents and killed almost half of my pack hadn’t started happening yet.

According to the past timeline, in Just four months from now, Our worst enemy, the ruthless Alpha Dante would send his men to start spying on us. Then he would launch a surprise attack and kill my parents who had retired to Switzerland.

In the past, Alpha Dante had claimed that he was attacking us because my pack members had stolen from him, but we never did such a thing, we were being framed.

After that, a war broke out between us and Alpha Dante wiped out more than half of my pack members.

In the past, Kate used that opportunity to convince my people that everything was my fault. The people blamed me for the death of their loved ones, and turned their backs on me, choosing to support Kate instead.

All this would happen in just four months from now. Which meant that I only had about four months to save my self, my parents and my pack from certain death.

I ran deeper into the forest, trying to clear my thoughts but I soon got tired and decided to head home.

I was sweaty from the run, so I decided to take a shower, but just as I began to strip off my clothes, Jack walked in with an apologetic look on his face. He was also holding a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates.

I quickly pulled my top down, hiding my nakedness from him.

Jack quirked his brow at me. "Why are you hiding your breasts from me? It's not like I haven't seen before." He said and I felt like punching him. He had lost the rights to my body the day I realized he was a traitor.

“What do you want Jack?” I snapped, failing to hide my irritation from him.

Jack looked so shocked at my tone that he froze. “What’s got into you Tamara? You’ve never spoken to me like this before, did I do something wrong?” He asked and I wanted to laugh.

The only thing he did wrong was lie to me, cheat on me, betray me, and then kill me and my unborn child, but he couldn’t discover that I knew these things, so I faked another smile and sighed.

“I’m sorry darling, preparing for the wedding is making me a little tired lately.” I apologized and Jack smiled at me.

"It’s alright Tamara," he began,"I'm also very sorry for yelling at you earlier and arguing with you. I shouldn't have disrespected you in front of everyone. I swear it will never happen again. Please forgive me." He said.

I blinked at him in surprise. The Jack from my past never bought me flowers, and he never apologized so profusely. What was going on?

Tamara's pov Jack continued speaking, "I promise you sweetheart, Kate will only stay with us until she is healed, and after that, I will personally make sure she leaves." I felt a surge of annoyance. This was an old lie he had told me in the past. He had sworn up and down that he would kick Kate out, but he never did. Instead, he laid back and watched as Kate took everything from me. And that same thing would happen again if I didn’t find a way to stop them both now. But I couldn't let him see my anger. So I forced another smile and pretended to accept his apology. "Thank you, Jack. I appreciate your concern." Jack moved closer, and caressed my face. “Anything for you my love. You know I would do anything it takes to make you happy. I love you so much Tammie.” He said and I tried very hard not to gag. How could he lie so boldly like that, especially while he was planning to kill me? Jack bent to kiss me, but I turned my face away. "Darling, not tonight, I'm tired," I said

Tamara's POV The next morning, I woke up to find Jack sleeping in my bed like he never left. He was cuddling my waist and I could feel his erection pressing against me. I frowned in disgust, he was probably dreaming about how he fucked my sister. I quietly slipped out to not wake him, but when I opened my door, I found Kate kneeling in front of my door. "Kate? What are you doing?" I asked in surprise. Kate scrambled up to her feet quickly and bowed to me. "Oh Luna! I'm sorry if I surprised you." She stammered with fake innocence. "I was just polishing the floor for you. I want to thank you for letting me stay here, and in return, please let me be your maid, I'll work very hard and do anything you want and I promise to never annoy you. Please accept me as your humble servant." She bowed. I was confused about her actions for a second but then I looked up and saw that my servants were peeping at us and whispering. "Then leave that immature brat and marry me." My breath caught in my throat. "What? W-why?” If I remembered correctly, this man was supposed to hate me, and I was supposed to hate him, so why was he asking me to marry him? I was shocked. "Marry you? But—" "Think about it, Tamara," he said, his tone now cold and calculating. "If you're truly willing to do anything to make me believe you want this alliance, then this is the price. Marry me, submit to me and we will form an alliance so strong that it would be legendary." I was speechless. The man who had killed my family, the man I had once ordered to be executed, was now offering to be my husband. My mind raced, Could I really do this? Could I marry the ruthless Alpha Dante to protect my pack, save my parents and friends and stop the people wh

Tamara’s POV As soon as Jack was out of sight, I rushed to my room, and went straight to the closet. It was time to begin the first phase of my plan. I shoved aside the soft, delicate dresses Jack liked me to wear and reached for the boldest, most daring outfit I had. It was a leather warrior set, black and fierce, with intricate gold and silver designs that gleamed in the light. The material hugged my body in all the right places, showcasing both my curves but still making me look powerful. It was a piece specifically made for a Luna. It commanded attention, and respect, so Jack hated it when I wore it. He didn’t like the fact that whenever I wore it, every single pair of eyes always ignored him to focus on me. It was perfect. I turned to the mirror and started applying a little makeup. That was another thing Jack had never allowed me to do in my past life. He used to say that he didn’t want me looking too good, because he was afraid that someone would realize

She was in my seat, With my warriors, and my fiancé and she was acting like she owned the place. My vision turned red. But as soon as Kate saw me standing at the door, she yanked herself away from Jack as if she’d been burned. But the damage was already done. I realized with a sickening clarity that they didn’t even bother to hide their affair in front of everyone else. No, they only pretended in front of me because they thought I was too naïve, too blindly in love with Jack to ever believe anyone else who told me the truth. No wonder my people stopped respecting me, they thought I was a foolish girl who was

Tamara’s POV I blinked, not fully processing what he had just said. “What?” I gaped Jack gave me that practiced, fake sympathetic look that begged me to be understanding. “Please Tamara, as a good Luna, you should try to show compassion and kindness to your people, especially your sister. Katie is still healing,” he explained, as if that somehow justified what he was asking. “And since you’ve been so kind to her, I thought… maybe you could allow her to go with me instead of with you? She’s never attended a glamorous event like this before, and maybe it could help cheer her up.” I stared at him in disbelief. In our previous life, he had allowed me to attend the festival, but he also brought Kate with us—that day turned out to be nothing short of a nightmare. I was humiliated in front of the other alphas and forced to stand in the background, while Jack paraded Kate around like she was his fiancée instead of me. It gained him a lot of support among the Alphas. But this time

The idea of joining forces with Jonathan didn’t sit well with me because He was a little unpredictable, and his motives always seemed to serve his own interests above all else. But when I reached out to Jack again hoping to pull him into the plan of destroying Dante, he turned me down flat.“I have no interest in fighting Dante. Tamara has made her decision to stay there and I believe she's happy now,” Jack had said. “That’s your obsession, not mine.”His words stung more than I cared to admit.
