Tamara's POV

The morning sun peeked through the curtains, but I felt anything but rested. The remnants of my nightmare clung to me like a heavy blanket, suffocating in their familiarity. I lay there, staring at the ceiling, trying to shake off the unease that had settled in my chest.

Just then, I felt the bed shift beside me, and I turned to see Dante, still groggy from sleep, pushing back the sheets. His hair was tousled, and for a moment, I couldn't help but smile at how effortlessly handsome he looked, even in his sleepiness.

“Good morning, baby girl,” he murmured, voice deep and slightly rough from sleep. He blinked a few times, focusing on me, his brow furrowing slightly. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost. What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” I replied, a bit too quickly. I turned my gaze back to the ceiling, not wanting to burden him with my worries.

Dante wasn’t fooled. “Liar. I can see it on your face. Did that nightmare come back again?”

I sighed, remembering I had told him I had a ni

Tamara's POV “Dante…” I hesitated, the uncertainty swirling around me. My instincts screamed at me to be cautious, but I couldn’t bring myself to step away. What the hell was going on?? “This isn’t funny, Dante. You’re scaring me.” I stepped back instinctively, feeling the chill of uncertainty wash over me. “Seriously, where are you taking me?” He paused, taking a deliberate step toward me, his expression unreadable. The way he looked at me made my stomach twist. “Remember when you accused me of manipulating you into our marriage?” His voice was low, almost conspiratorial, as if we were sharing a secret, and my breath hitched. I forced a laugh, trying to lighten the mood despite the flutter of nerves in my stomach. “That was in the past. I was wrong about you. You’re not... that kind of man.” His smile faded slightly, replaced by an intensity that made me uneasy. “You weren’t very wrong about me, Tamara.” “Wait, what are you talking about?” My heart raced even faster now

Tamara's POV As the ring sparkled on my finger, it felt surreal. I barely had time to process what had just happened when Sophie and Violet rushed over, their eyes wide with excitement. “Oh my God, Tamara! You said yes!" Sophie exclaimed, her voice a mix of disbelief and joy. I nodded, still a bit dazed. “Yeah, I did.” Violet practically squealed, “Let me see the ring!” She grabbed my hand, pulling it closer to her face. “It’s beautiful! The color is just like your eyes!” I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment. “Thanks! But you guys saw all of that?” “Of course, we did! We were here the whole time!” Sophie chimed in, her grin wide enough to light up the dark room. “Dante didn’t want you to see us, so he made sure it was dark enough. But he got us these artificially enhanced goggles so we could see everything!” I couldn’t help but laugh at Dante’s overdramatic behavior. “Only Dante would think of something like that.” My heart swelled with affection. “It was a pretty romanti

I groaned as the faint buzz of my phone jolted me awake in the early morning light, casting long shadows across the dark room.I blinked, trying to shake off the grogginess, but the persistent notification light blinked continuously. I reached over, snatched my phone off the nightstand and looked at it.When I read the contents, my eyes widened immediately and all trace of sleep disappeared. It was a message marked "EXTREMELY URGENT!! Jack's POV The meeting hall was already bustling when I arrived, and I could immediately sense the tension thick in the air. I still didn't know what happened, but I had been right to assume it was something bad. Some Alphas were pacing around nervously, while some where arguing quietly with each other. Anger, frustration, and fear was all the emotions I could sense and I was becoming nervous to find out why. I spotted my gamma, Richard, in the corner, already waiting for me. He looked fucking terrible. Ever since Violet had left him to go with Tamara, everything had gone downhill for him. His business, the one Violet used to run, was struggling without her, and his new girlfriend was a disaster, that rude girl was spending his money faster than he could keep up.I honestly didn't understand why he wanted to leave Violet for her, but it wasnt my place to judge, after all, i had made the same mistake with Kate."Rough day?" Jack's POV “Kate,” I said, trying to keep my tone even, though my mind was racing with the possibilities of why these men were in my house, and whether or not Kate had done something as stupid as poisoning their drinks. I knew her impulsive streak, and the last thing I needed was for her to have done something rash. “Could you excuse us for a moment?” I told her. Kate's smirk faltered, and she crossed her arms, clearly not thrilled with the request. “I don’t see why I should. They were perfectly fine talking with me before you came.” “Kate, please,” I said, my tone firm. “This isn’t up for debate.” She hesitated, but my annoyed expression must have convinced her. With a huff, she spun around and left, casting one last glare over her shoulder. Once she was gone, I focused on the two warriors, keeping my tone steady. “What are you doing in my home?” The taller of the two men, a grizzled warrior with a scar down his cheek, met my gaze steadily. “I'm General Luther and this is Lie

Jack's POV Later the day, Mike my Beta, -- who I didn't always carry around because of his devote loyalty to Tamara -- plus Richard, and I approached the mansion Adrian has bought in my pack.I immediately noticed that he had designed the place to be a Beautiful fortress. There were Warriors and mercenaries standing guard at every corner, with their eyes sharp and weapons within easy reach. The mansion was beautiful and imposing, and it seemed Adrian intended to make it his stronghold here in my pack, like he was preparing to come and stay in my pack very frequently. Mike whistled in surprise beside me, "Looks like he’s not just here for a short friendly visit. With all these weapons and warriors, it's obvious that the guy’s gearing up for something serious." "Yeah," I said, glancing around. "If I had any doubts about Adrian’s intentions for war against the north, they’re definitely gone now." I grumbled. It's true that I'd always wanted Dante out of my way, but I’d never imagined

Kayla’s POV “If he rejects my requests because of you,” Xavier hissed, his voice low and menacing, “I’ll make sure i show you the true meaning of pain and fear.” The room felt icy as Xavier’s threat echoed in my ears. He had never ever spoken to me with such hate and disgust before. I won't lie, it hurt, but I kept my composure. 'Don’t break, Kayla. Never again.' I reminded myself. Xavier whirled around and stormed out with a smug Mia, leaving me behind with my racing thoughts. I slowly followed behind them but I was forced to a startling halt when he suddenly froze in the middle of the hallway. I followed cautiously behind him and saw why. Author's note at the bottom. Kayla’s POV It was Mia who quickly spoke up, "It's not that simple my Lord, this woman is a murderer!" she yelled and Alpha Adrian's cold eyes snapped back to me. His brow lifted and it seemed that his already intense gaze zeroed in on me even more. I felt my throat tighten like I was being suffocated but Mia refused to stop talking. "It's true Alpha, not only is she a cold hearted murderer, but who she killed were her own parents! She's not an innocent victim here, she's a monster!." Mia’s words rang in my ears like a death knell and I could only watch her smirk in satisfaction. I was frozen, feeling the weight of the traumatic accusation slapped in my face all over again. And to make matters worse, this tall, powerful dark Alpha that made me feel so many strange things would now hate me too. I forced myself to look at him, already expecting to see hate, fury or disgust in his eyes but my breath immediately hitched when I saw his expression.

His gaze wasn’t just passing; it was intense, like he was peeling away every layer of me, dissecting every secret. I shifted uncomfortably, clutching the hem of my dress, wishing I could melt into the walls of the Alpha’s office.I needed to disappear before the heat of his gaze melted me to the floor. “Please wait here, I will inform Alpha Xavier that you are looking for him,” I said softly, hoping my voice didn’t betray the nervous tremble I felt inside. I turned to leave, but before I could even take a step, the man moved with lightning speed and blocked the door. His arm braced

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Once a luna

Kayla’s POVIt had been one month since Alpha Xavier rejected me. One long, excruciating month since I lost my child, one painful month since i lost my wolf. The memory of the pain, the losses, his cold words, his indifference as he shattered our bond, played on a constant loop in my head. Every night, I’d wake up sweating and trembling, reaching out for Kira, only to remember she was gone. My inner wolf had disappeared the moment Xavier had rejected me, leaving me an empty shell of who I used to be.What hurt even more was how he’d cut me out of his life completely. He wouldn’t speak to me, wouldn’t even look at me. Yet, for reasons I couldn’t understand, he refused to let me leave the pack. I had tried—oh, I had tried so many times to escape. But every time, the guards would catch me before I even made it to the border. Xavier had ordered them to restrain me and bring me back no matter what. Now, I was constantly watched, a prisoner in the very place I once called home.He had s

Kayla’s POV The first thing I felt when I woke up was the ache in my abdomen. It wasn’t sharp anymore, but a dull, throbbing pain that made me wince as I shifted slightly in the hospital bed. The sterile smell of disinfectant filled my nostrils, and the soft beeping of a heart monitor reached my ears, letting me know I was in the hospital. Then, like a lightning strike, panic surged through me. My baby. I shot upright despite the pain, my breath hitching. “My baby… How's my baby?” I asked, my voice trembling as I scanned the room for someone who could answer me. Dr. Marcus, who was sitting at the corner of the room looking over some papers, quickly stood and approached me. His expression was solemn, his eyes filled with pity. “Luna Kayla…” he began softly, his tone filled with regret. “No,” I whispered, shaking my head violently. “Don’t say it. Don’t you dare say it.” He hesitated, but finally, he met my gaze. “I’m so sorry. Your baby didn’t survive.” The words hit me like

Kayla’s POV Mia’s smirk was impossible to ignore, but I tried anyway. I sighed heavily, forcing myself to turn back to my tea and toast. The sharp scent of the tea leaves helped anchor me, kept me from snapping at her. She wanted a reaction—I wasn’t going to give her the satisfaction. But, of course, she wouldn’t leave it at that. “You know,” Mia began, her voice sweet with a cruel edge, “it must be so humiliating for you. I mean, I’ve only been with Xavier a short while, and I’m already carrying his heir. Meanwhile, you? Years, and you couldn’t even give him one pup.” I tightened my grip on the counter but kept my mouth shut. She was baiting me, and I wouldn’t fall for it. Mia walked closer and leaned casually against the counter. “It’s funny, really. He couldn’t keep his hands off me the moment he saw me. Said he couldn’t resist someone who actually knew how to please him.” My wolf, Kira, growled low in the back of my mind. "Ignore her," I told Kira. "She’s trying to get

Kayla’s POVI lost track of how many days I had been locked in the guest room which I had now moved into despite Xavier's protests. The only sounds I could hear over my own sobs were the soft murmurs of the pack outside my door and Xavier’s constant pleading.“Kayla, please,” his voice cracked, and I could hear the desperation. “I’m sorry. Just let me explain. Please, let me in.”But I couldn’t. Every time I thought of his face—of what he’d done—my heart twisted, and tears would pour again. I spent my days in bed, alternating between crying and staring at the ceiling, wondering how everything had fallen apart so quickly.I had tried to eat once, maybe twice, just so that my baby would have nourishment but my body rejected it every time. The knot in my stomach wouldn’t let anything settle, and I’d rush to the bathroom, retching until I was empty again. I was too weak to fight anymore.Eventually, hunger and worry for my child's well being gnawed at me and forced me to venture out, ho

He reached out to brush a strand of hair from my face, his touch as gentle as ever. “Kayla,” he murmured, his voice thick with concern. “Thank the Goddess you’re awake.” Reality crashed into me like a tidal wave. The memory of Evelyn’s cruel smirk, Mia’s tear-filled confession, and the gut-wrenching revelation of their betrayal all came rushing back. My chest tightened, and tears immediately blurred my vision. “How could you?” I whispered, my voice trembling. Xavier stiffened, his hand retracting as if my words burned him. “Kayla, I—” “No!” I cried, sitting up in bed and pushing him away. “How could you do this to me, Xavier? To us? You swore you loved me!” He closed his eyes, his jaw tightening. “I do love you,” he said quietly. I let out a bitter laugh, the sound harsh and foreign in th

Dr. Marcus cleared his throat, breaking me out of my anxious daze. “Well, Luna,” he said, his eyes softening behind his glasses. “The results are in, and I have some news for you.” I held my breath. The room seemed to shrink, the air thinning. This was it—the moment I’d been waiting for, praying for, begging the Moon Goddess for. “You’re pregnant.” For a moment, I couldn’t comprehend his words. “Pregnant?” I whispered, my voice barely audible. “Yes,” he confirmed, smiling warmly. “You’re about eight weeks along.” A sob escaped my lips before I could stop it.
