Tamara's POV

I woke up groggily, my head pounding as I tried to make sense of my surroundings. The first thing I noticed was the faint smell of antiseptic in the air, the sterile cleanliness of a clinic. The room was dimly lit, and I blinked several times, trying to shake off the drowsiness clinging to me like a heavy fog.

Where the hell am I?

The bed I was lying on was firm, not entirely uncomfortable, but foreign. I definitely wasn’t in my own room. My body ached slightly, a dull pain radiating from my side. Slowly, I moved my hand down to the source of the pain, the memory of being stabbed rushing back to me.

The attack. The men. The blood.

I tried to sit up but felt a wave of dizziness hit me like a brick wall. Just as I managed to push myself up, a young woman in a white nurse’s uniform hurried over, her expression one of concern. She placed her hands gently on my shoulders and urged me to lie back down.

“You shouldn’t be getting up,” she said, her voice soft but firm. “You need

“What the fuck?” “H-How do you know about my second life?” I blurted, still reeling from the shock of her words. My voice was more than a little shaky as I was barely able to process the fact that this stranger I had never ever met in both of my lives knew something so deeply buried? Like was I dreaming? The Doctor woman—Laura—didn’t even flinch at my shock, Instead, she gave me a calm, almost knowing smile. “You’re not the first person I’ve known to be reborn, Tamara.” Her tone was so matter-of-fact, so casual, it made me feel even more unsteady. I stared at her, feeling a like a shark just swam out of a river and was now dancing infront of me. “Reborn…” I whispered, almost to myself. “But… how? How do you know that?” Laura tilted her head slightly, studying me as if I were some puzzle she was trying to solve. “There are signs, things that only people like me can pick up on. The way your body moves, your spirit energy, the way your soul resonates. You have the energy of s

Jack's POV I watched the smoke from the wreckage rise into the air for several hours, black and bitter against the setting sun. Tamara's car—her last moments on this earth—lay mangled, torn apart and bloody. The assassins had truly done their job. Tamara, my Luna was gone. The old me should have been happy, But all I felt was this hollow emptiness. My stomach churned, my head hurt. Tamara... dead, I killed her. How did it come to this? I only finally left the site after my beta managed to drag me back home “So she is truly dead huh? You got what you wanted,” Kate's voice snapped me out of my thoughts but I ignored her. She stood a few feet away, arms crossed, her face twisted in frustration when I refused to answer her. “Don’t act like this wasn’t your plan, Jack.” I didn’t respond right away. I couldn’t. My mouth felt dry, my heart pounded too hard in my chest. I’d fallen for Tamara, hadn’t I? The very woman I’d planned to destroy... I’d ended up loving her. “You hated

Tamara's POV I couldn’t fucking believe it. Alpha Dante is my mate. Holy shit! How?! I stared at the towering figure of the man standing in the doorway. It couldn’t be true—it couldn’t be him. My mind raced, flipping through every memory I had of Alpha Dante, the ruthless leader of the North, the very man I had wanted to kill more than once. How many times had we crossed paths in the past? Too many. And every time, his eyes had burned with a hatred so fierce it could’ve set me on fire. I thought he wanted to kill me, and frankly, I wanted him dead too. But now... this? I took a step back instinctively, my heart pounding in my chest as I remembered the cold stares, the lethal tension that crackled between us during every encounter. We had been enemies in every sense of the word. So how in the world could we be mates? How could the universe think it was a good idea to bond me to the man who had destroyed my life? I glanced up at him, and that’s when I noticed the way his eye

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Telling her secret

Tamara's POV I hadn’t seen Violet since the attack. My heart raced as I followed the nurse from earlier down the long, sterile corridor. I couldn't stop thinking about the look of terror on her face yesterday when she saw me—when she saw my red eyes. The memory sent a pang of guilt through me. Was she still scared? What if she didn’t want to see me now? After everything we’d been through, the thought of her pushing me away was unbearable. Violet was all I had left. The nurse stopped in front of a door and gestured for me to go inside. I hesitated, my stomach in knots. What if she didn’t want me here? I could barely breathe as I pushed the door open. My mind was filled with worst-case scenarios, but what I wasn’t prepared for was the sight of Violet’s face lighting up the second she saw me. "Tamara!" she gasped, her voice full of relief and joy. I blinked, frozen in place for a moment before the tension in my chest released. I couldn’t hold back the tears that suddenly fi

Violet and I sat silently as the car made its way toward Alpha Dante’s palace. The closer we got, the heavier my heart felt, knowing that whatever was waiting for me inside could change everything. For good or bad, I didn't know yet, I was about to find out. I glanced at Violet, her wide eyes betraying the nervous energy I knew she was trying to hide behind a brave face. She had insisted on coming with me, despite my protests. This girl was a fucking gem! I was more than glad for her support, but I couldn’t help but wonder if bringing her along was a mistake. When the palace finally came into view, both of us gasped in unison. The structure was fucking massive! its towering spires cutting into the sky like gigantic spears. It was more than just a palace; it was a fortress, built with cold, gleaming stone and adorned with intricate carvings and banners. Despite its intimidating size, i thought it was undeniably beautiful, powerful and dangerous, just like its owner alpha Dant

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Northern elders

Standing in that grand hall, with all those cold, disapproving eyes on me, I realized something that made my stomach churn—Alpha Dante wasn’t just playing politics with me. This was more than a simple marriage for power. If I wasn’t careful, if I stepped out of line even once, he wouldn’t just destroy me. He’d kill everyone I cared about. My pack, my friends—Violet. I couldn’t afford to make any mistakes. The elders weren’t happy with Dante’s announcement, and their dissatisfaction was obvious. They were greedy, calculating men, each of them thinking about how they could benefit from this union, how they could manipulate their daughters into positions of power. I could see it in the way they looked at me, in the way they spoke about Ana. Finally, after some heated murmuring among them, one of the elders stood up. He was a stout man with a sharp face, and he addressed Dante with a formal tone, though the impatience behind his words was unmistakable. “Alpha, while we understa

As I stepped through the grand doors of my new quarters, I could barely believe my own eyes. Holy shit! The room was fucking enormous! it was far bigger than anything I’d ever seen before, even bigger than the master bedroom back at my pack. The bed in the center of the room was gigantic- for lack of a better word, plus it was practically drowning in plush bedding and embroidered pillows that looked softer than anything I had ever touched. Maya, my wolf chose to snicker at that moment, “imagine how amazing it would feel being pressed between it and our mate.” She sighed and I blushed bright red. “Control yourself woman!” I playfully scolded her, “we are here to fulfill our purpose for rebirth, not to have naughty thoughts about that sexy man— I mean alpha Dante!” I quickly caught myself but Maya noticed and snickered before going quiet. I looked around and noticed there was a sitting area by the fireplace, with rich, luxurious sofas arranged neatly around a low table. “God dam

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Alone with him

I took a deep breath, squaring my shoulders. There was no way I was going to let these women intimidate me. No matter how hostile they were or how much they already seemed to hate me, I wouldn’t back down. Not today, not ever.“Hello,” I said, stepping forward with a polite smile. “I’m Tamara, and I’m really not here to make your lives difficult. In fact, I hope we can all get along.”The five women, who had been glaring at me just moments before, exchanged surprised glances. Clearly, they hadn’t expected me to be this… nice. It seemed they had already made up their minds about who I was before I even stepped foot in the palace. The tall woman with long dark hair, the same one who had been rude earlier, narrowed her eyes at me. “We’ve heard things about you. People say you’re harsh. Controlling.”I forced myself to keep my expression calm. So that’s what they thought of me? It wasn’t surprising, considering the rumors that must’ve spread about me after everything with Jack, Kate, and

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Adrian's fear

Adrian’s POV The moment the warrior burst into the room, his face pale with urgency, I knew something was wrong. “The border—” he gasped. “It’s been breached.” I froze immediately. “By who?” The guard hesitated, then spoke. "We aren't sure sir. You need to see this by yourself." For a second, the words didn’t quite register. A breach? In our territory? That wasn’t supposed to happen. We had one of the strongest security systems in place. How the hell did someone get through? 'How did they even find the audacity to get through? And what did they want?' Is what I thought. But then— My mind went to Kayla. I needed to keep her safe at all costs. I didn't remember my pack, I didn't remember my people or any of the things I used to think about, all I remembered was Kayla. From that moment, my mind snapped. I barely remembered giving Logan orders. All I knew was that I needed to keep her safe. I remembered turning to her, grabbing her by the shoulders and saying “Stay her

Kayla’s POV "Did you really think I’d let you go, Kayla?” It growled. That voice. It was familiar. Too familiar. But that wasn’t possible because I couldn't remember hearing it before. Plus the fact that they were bold enough to intrude the south was a problem. I stood frozen, my heart hammering against my ribs as the shadows shifted near the doorway. Adrian was already in front of me, his body tense, it was like he was shielding me from the possible attack coming. His dark eyes burned with a dangerous intensity. “You need to stay hidden here, this palace is the safest place, Kayla,” he ordered. I barely heard him. My mind was racing, trying to place that voice—the one that had sent chills through my spine. It couldn’t be… But before I could think further, a deafening howl rang through the air. Then another. Then— Chaos erupted. --- Preparing for Battle A pack warrior rushed in, panting. “The attack has gotten worse sir!” he gasped. “They’ve broken past the o

Because he truly cared for Candice and this wasn’t Candice. Not the real Candice anyway, and we all knew it.And yet—My chest tightened as I watched him try to dodge another hit.But this time, he didn't move fast enough and Candice’s claws ripped through his sleeve, drawing blood.A sharp growl lef

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Candice's Secret

Kayla’s POV Something was about to go wrong. We could all feel it—lingering in the air, creeping in the shadows of my mind. Suspicious activity had just been detected again in the pack’s security system. That was the third time this week. Whoever was doing this was inside the pack. But tracking them led nowhere. It was like chasing a ghost. And that scared me more than I wanted to admit. Because if we couldn’t find them, that meant they were good. Too good. --- Despite the lingering unease, I had to admit—Adrian had changed. The suffocating overprotection was gone. He still worried, still kept guards around, but now he actually let me breathe. And I knew why.It was because he believed in my ability to protect myself now. Because I wasn’t some helpless prisoner anymore. I had fought for my life and I had survived. I wasn’t weak anymore, even though I wasn't sure why. And because of that, we were finally going back to how we used to be before the kiss.Kind of Close and

Adrian’s POV No leads on how the traitor betrayed us. Not even a single damn clue about who the traitor was. Days of searching, interrogating, tearing through every possible lead—and still, nothing. It was infuriating. Someone had let those mercenaries in. Someone inside my palace, under my command, had betrayed me. And yet, whoever it was, they covered their tracks too well. Too carefully. That told me two things. One: They were smart. Two: They probably weren’t working alone or had some level of influence. I wasn’t letting this go. Because if they got in once, they could get in again. And I’d kill anyone who put Kayla in danger. --- I was in my office, pouring over reports, when Connor walked in. One look at his face, and I knew. “We found something?" I asked and he nodded. I stood immediately. “Tell me.” Connor tossed a file onto the desk. I flipped it open, scanning the details—then my body went rigid. A name and finally a familiar connection.

Kayla’s POVAfter that nightmare, I felt like a prisoner. The palace, once a place that had slowly started to feel like home, now felt like a cage with golden bars.Adrian had doubled security after the bloody warning note, and while I understood why… it didn’t make being constantly watched any easier.Guards followed me everywhere, inside and outside. I couldn’t take a walk without someone tailing me. I couldn’t breathe without Adrian knowing exactly where I was.I wanted to scream.Instead, I forced myself to keep my head down and obey—because that was what was expected of me.---"Adrian, please," I tried again. He didn’t even look up from the map spread across his desk. "No."I let out a frustrated breath. "I just want to go outside for five minutes.""You were outside yesterday," he said. "In the training yard. With three guards."I folded my arms.
