Tamara’s POV

Dante had been tense ever since the court summons arrived. The accusation against him was too heavy, and although he’d tried to mask it around me, I could see through his every attempt to hide his frustration.

He was on edge, pacing the halls, spending hours in his office, and sleeping less.

This wasn’t like him. Dante was always calm, composed, and unshakable. To see him like this… it fucking hurt.

I decided I’d had enough. If he wasn’t going to take a break on his own, I was going to make him take one.

The plan was simple: distract Dante for a whole day. No office work, no border patrols, no strategizing. Just fun and relaxation. I wasn’t taking no for an answer.

“Dante,” I called, standing in the doorway of his study. He was at his desk, leaning over some documents, his dark brows furrowed in concentration.

“Hmm?” he grunted without looking up.

I stepped inside and crossed my arms. “Get up.”

His pen stilled, and he finally looked at me, his sharp green eyes na

I seriously don’t like the fact which I always knew that Adrian was her anchor. It’s too much of a rigmarole with Adrian and Dante. I’m pretty sure it’s Rueben doing everything to cause trouble as he has his own agenda and using everything to his advantage.

Tamara’s POV The morning of the court hearing was heavy with tension. Dante had been uncharacteristically quiet as we got ready, his usual confidence dimmed by the weight of what was coming. I tried my best to stay calm for his sake, reminding myself that this was Dante—strong, capable, and always one step ahead of his enemies. But just as I was fastening the final clasp of my dress, a familiar voice rang through the palace halls. “Tamara?” I froze for a second, then rushed out of the room to see Sophie standing at the front door, her bright smile lighting up the grand entryway. “Sophie!” I exclaimed, hurrying down the stairs. “You’re back already?” She nodded, looking a little flustered but happy. “Yes. Nathan sent me back to resume my work.” I blinked, stunned. “Nathan sent you?” She laughed lightly, rubbing the back of her neck. “I know, it’s hard to believe, right? But he’s finally come around. He told me he understands how much my job means to me, and he’s decided to supp

Tamara’s POVThe courtroom buzzed with tension, the air thick as Lord Jarek droned on, hammering away at Dante’s reputation. his accusations were sharp and too deliberate, designed to paint Dante as a fucking dictator. My blood boiled with every word he spoke.I couldn’t sit still any longer. As Jarek raised his voice, calling Dante a threat to peace, I shot out of my chair.“I object!”The room fell silent. Every head turned to me, and I could feel the weight of a hundred shocked gazes. Even Dante looked stunned as I stepped forward and planted myself between him and the Elders.“Tamara,” Dante hissed softly, his voice low with warning. But I ignored him.“This entire trial is a farce,” I said, my voice firm as I looked directly at Lord Jarek. “You’re not here to seek justice. You’re here to destroy Alpha Dante’s reputation, and everyone in this room knows it.”The collective gasp from the council echoed like thunder.“Outrageous!” Lord Jarek snapped, his face reddening. “You dare a

Tamara’s POV The early morning sunlight streamed through the curtains, painting golden streaks across the bedroom. I stretched lazily, already anticipating the hopefully not shitty day ahead. Today, I was heading to Alpha Jonathan’s pack to prove Dante’s innocence. There was no room for error. Sliding out of bed, I moved quietly, trying not to wake Dante as I grabbed my clothes and headed to the vanity. But before I could even finish brushing my hair, I felt strong arms wrap around my waist. “Where do you think you’re going?” Dante’s voice was husky, still thick with sleep, as he pulled me back against him. I rolled my eyes, smiling despite myself. “You know exactly where I’m going. Alpha Jonathan’s pack. I told you last night.” “You could stay,” he murmured, his lips brushing against my neck. “Just a little longer. The sun’s barely up.” I laughed softly, shaking my head as his kisses grew more insistent. “Dante, you’re impossible.” “Guilty,” he said, spinning me around to fac

I thought I had shaken it off earlier, but as the minutes dragged on, the nausea returned with a vengeance. I barely made it to the restroom before I found myself doubled over again, the contents of my stomach spilling out.“Tamara?” Sophie’s worried voice came from outside the door.I rinsed my mouth quickly and splashed cold water on my face before unlocking the door. Sophie was standing there, her brows furrowed in concern.“You don’t look fine,” she said bluntly.“I’m fine,” I insisted, leaning on the doorframe for support.Sophie wasn’t buying it. “You’re pale as a ghost. Tamara’s POVThe world spun violently as I felt my legs give way beneath me. Distantly, I could hear Alpha Jonathan’s voice barking out orders.“Call the doctor! I couldn’t let them call a doctor.Thoughts of my secret abnormalities flashed in my head—the strange way my wolf’s thirst for blood surged uncontrollably at times, the lingering sensations I sometimes felt after drinking the potions, even though it shouldn’t affect me. Then there was the fact of my rebirth I couldn’t risk anyone examining me too closely incase they see these things. Gritting my teeth, I forced my eyes open and willed myself to sit up.“No doctor,” I croaked, my voice weak but firm.Alpha Jonathan’s expression twisted in irritation as he hovered over me. “Tamara, you nearly collapsed. Sophie had been a rock through everything, and despite my condition, I could tell something was weighing on her mind. The room we were given was luxurious, with a massive bed draped in silk sheets, a plush sitting area, and a balcony overlooking the dense forest surrounding Alpha Jonathan’s packhouse. Sophie helped me settle in before sitting at the edge of the bed, her brow furrowed in concern.“Luna Tamara, this isn’t right,” Sophie began softly, her voice laced with worry. “We should go back home. You’re not well, and it’s getting worse. What if something happens to you here?”I sighed, leaning back against the pillows. “Sophie, you know I can’t leave. The alphas murmured their agreement, their eyes flickering to the prisoner still shackled in the center of the room. He looked disheveled, his clothes stained with dirt and blood. His eyes were wide with fear, and he trembled under the scrutiny of the alphas. One of the older alphas, his graying hair making him appear even more imposing, spoke up first. Tamara's POV The meeting was finally wrapping up and the tension in the room dissolved when Alpha Jonathan declared it adjourned. The alphas murmured amongst themselves, some exchanging lingering glares while others offered me congratulatory nods. I tried to shake off the exhaustion from the day’s revelations. Dante’s name had been cleared, but the fight wasn’t over yet. There was still Reuben and whatever dark game he was playing. I had stood up to leave when the strange scent hit me—a sweet, intoxicating aroma that wrapped around my senses and pulled at something deep within me. It was unlike anything I had ever smelled before, a blend of honey and cedarwood, warm and inviting, yet completely disorienting. My steps faltered, and I felt an invisible string tugging me toward the door. The room blurred around me as I moved, as if the scent itself was a spell, clouding my mind. "It's true Alpha, not only is she a cold hearted murderer, but who she killed were her own parents! She's not an innocent victim here, she's a monster!." Mia’s words rang in my ears like a death knell and I could only watch her smirk in satisfaction. I was frozen, feeling the weight of the traumatic accusation slapped in my face all over again. And to make matters worse, this tall, powerful dark Alpha that made me feel so many strange things would now hate me too. I forced myself to look at him, already expecting to see hate, fury or disgust in his eyes but my breath immediately hitched when I saw his expression.

Kayla’s POVIt had been one month since Alpha Xavier rejected me. One long, excruciating month since I lost my child, one painful month since i lost my wolf. The memory of the pain, the losses, his cold words, his indifference as he shattered our bond, played on a constant loop in my head. Every night, I’d wake up sweating and trembling, reaching out for Kira, only to remember she was gone. My inner wolf had disappeared the moment Xavier had rejected me, leaving me an empty shell of who I used to be.What hurt even more was how he’d cut me out of his life completely. He wouldn’t speak to me, wouldn’t even look at me. Yet, for reasons I couldn’t understand, he refused to let me leave the pack. I had tried—oh, I had tried so many times to escape. But every time, the guards would catch me before I even made it to the border. Xavier had ordered them to restrain me and bring me back no matter what. Now, I was constantly watched, a prisoner in the very place I once called home.He had s

Kayla’s POV The first thing I felt when I woke up was the ache in my abdomen. It wasn’t sharp anymore, but a dull, throbbing pain that made me wince as I shifted slightly in the hospital bed. The sterile smell of disinfectant filled my nostrils, and the soft beeping of a heart monitor reached my ears, letting me know I was in the hospital. Then, like a lightning strike, panic surged through me. My baby. I shot upright despite the pain, my breath hitching. “My baby… How's my baby?” I asked, my voice trembling as I scanned the room for someone who could answer me. Dr. Marcus, who was sitting at the corner of the room looking over some papers, quickly stood and approached me. His expression was solemn, his eyes filled with pity. “Luna Kayla…” he began softly, his tone filled with regret. “No,” I whispered, shaking my head violently. “Don’t say it. Don’t you dare say it.” He hesitated, but finally, he met my gaze. “I’m so sorry. Your baby didn’t survive.” The words hit me like

Kayla’s POV Mia’s smirk was impossible to ignore, but I tried anyway. I sighed heavily, forcing myself to turn back to my tea and toast. The sharp scent of the tea leaves helped anchor me, kept me from snapping at her. She wanted a reaction—I wasn’t going to give her the satisfaction. But, of course, she wouldn’t leave it at that. “You know,” Mia began, her voice sweet with a cruel edge, “it must be so humiliating for you. I mean, I’ve only been with Xavier a short while, and I’m already carrying his heir. Meanwhile, you? Years, and you couldn’t even give him one pup.” I tightened my grip on the counter but kept my mouth shut. She was baiting me, and I wouldn’t fall for it. Mia walked closer and leaned casually against the counter. “It’s funny, really. He couldn’t keep his hands off me the moment he saw me. Said he couldn’t resist someone who actually knew how to please him.” My wolf, Kira, growled low in the back of my mind. "Ignore her," I told Kira. "She’s trying to get

Kayla’s POVI lost track of how many days I had been locked in the guest room which I had now moved into despite Xavier's protests. The only sounds I could hear over my own sobs were the soft murmurs of the pack outside my door and Xavier’s constant pleading.“Kayla, please,” his voice cracked, and I could hear the desperation. “I’m sorry. Just let me explain. Please, let me in.”But I couldn’t. Every time I thought of his face—of what he’d done—my heart twisted, and tears would pour again. I spent my days in bed, alternating between crying and staring at the ceiling, wondering how everything had fallen apart so quickly.I had tried to eat once, maybe twice, just so that my baby would have nourishment but my body rejected it every time. The knot in my stomach wouldn’t let anything settle, and I’d rush to the bathroom, retching until I was empty again. I was too weak to fight anymore.Eventually, hunger and worry for my child's well being gnawed at me and forced me to venture out, ho

The memory of Evelyn’s cruel smirk, Mia’s tear-filled confession, and the gut-wrenching revelation of their betrayal all came rushing back. My chest tightened, and tears immediately blurred my vision. “How could you?” I whispered, my voice trembling. Xavier stiffened, his hand retracting as if my words burned him. “Kayla, I—” “No!” I cried, sitting up in bed and pushing him away. “How could you do this to me, Xavier? To us? The room seemed to shrink, the air thinning. This was it—the moment I’d been waiting for, praying for, begging the Moon Goddess for. “You’re pregnant.” For a moment, I couldn’t comprehend his words. “Pregnant?” I whispered, my voice barely audible. “Yes,” he confirmed, smiling warmly. “You’re about eight weeks along.” A sob escaped my lips before I could stop it.
