Tamara's POV

The next morning, I woke up to find Jack sleeping in my bed like he never left.

He was cuddling my waist and I could feel his erection pressing against me.

I frowned in disgust, he was probably dreaming about how he fucked my sister.

I quietly slipped out to not wake him, but when I opened my door, I found Kate kneeling in front of my door.

"Kate? What are you doing?" I asked in surprise.

Kate scrambled up to her feet quickly and bowed to me. "Oh Luna! I'm sorry if I surprised you." She stammered with fake innocence. "I was just polishing the floor for you. I want to thank you for letting me stay here, and in return, please let me be your maid, I'll work very hard and do anything you want and I promise to never annoy you. Please accept me as your humble servant." She bowed.

I was confused about her actions for a second but then I looked up and saw that my servants were peeping at us and whispering. That's when I realized that Kate was doing all these to look like a good girl and make me look like the harsh Luna that forced her poor sister to be her servant.

Right on cue, Jack appeared behind me and frowned. "Tamara? why are you forcing your own sister to mop the floor? why are you being so harsh to her?" he yelled loudly.

The maids started to murmur loudly and I realized that they were falling for this fake act, so I decided it was time to play my card.

I quickly grabbed Kate from the floor and pulled her into a tight hug, shocking everyone.

"Oh no sister, you can never be my maid." I said, "I love you too much to let you work so hard. From today, you are an official member of the Alpha's noble family and you will be treated as such. I will give you servants and a credit card with no limits, if you ever want anything at all, just ask Okay?" I said and smiled when I noticed the servants start to whisper about how kind and nice I was.

Kate and Jack were in shock at how easily I changed the situation, and Kate could only stammer out a thank you.

I just nodded and walked away, knowing I had to act fast to protect my pack from these vipers.

Later that day, I used my connections to get the number to reach Alpha Dante.

Then I went to a secluded part in our garden, gathered my courage and dialed the number of my former enemy.

The phone rang a few times before a sultry feminine voice answered.

"This is king Dante's office, who is this and how can I help you?"

I took a deep breath. “This is Tamara Hawthorn," I said, "And I would please like to speak with Alpha Dante."

There was a pause as the person on the other end recognized who I was.

"Tamara Hawthorn, Luna of the Winter Pack and future wife of Alpha Jack?" the woman asked, her tone becoming colder with each word.

"Yes," I confirmed, feeling more tense than before.

The voice suddenly turned icy cold. "The King is not available at the moment."

I was taken aback by the sudden change in attitude. "Are you sure? I really need to speak with him." I pressed.

"The King doesn't talk to the likes of you," she replied icily.

I was shocked by her rudeness. Who was this bitch and why was she so rude when I didn’t even know her?

Before I could respond, I heard a deep velvety voice in the background.

"Who is on the phone?" the masculine voice asked.

"It's nobody," the rude woman on the phone lied.

"That's a lie!" I shouted, with desperation creeping into my voice. I had to talk to Alpha Dante! It was the only way we could survive.

There was a moment of tense silence, then the deep voice commanded, "Hand over the phone Lucy, and go put on your clothes." The voice said and my eyes widened, was she naked in his office?

I heard the woman curse and grumble, but she reluctantly passed the phone to him.

"You are speaking to Alpha Dante. Who are you?" the deep voice rumbled through the receiver.

I suddenly felt every nerve in my body become alert at the sound of his voice. It was so deep, velvety and dark. It was the kind of voice that could have me sinning for days.

I immediately shook my head and tried to remind myself that this was the voice of the man who had killed my family in my past life.

The last time I saw him, we were at war on a battle field. I clearly remembered the iciness in his voice and the hate in his eyes, it was like he wanted to cross the field and kill me himself, so I definitely never found anything attractive about him in my past life.

Alpha Dante was probably in his early thirties, while I just turned 23 this year, but he had always looked down on me, like I was still an immature child. We might not have started attacking each other’s packs yet, but from his cold attitude and our pack's past history, i always knew he hated me, and I hated him too. But I needed his help now.

"Alpha Dante," I began, keeping my voice bold. "This is Tamara, Luna of the Winter Pack. I need to speak with you about something urgent."

There was a long pause. "Tamara," he said, his voice now dripping with disdain. "The proud little brat of the Winter pack, Why should I listen to anything you have to say?"

I forced myself to ignore his insult and continue. "Because I have a proposition that would benefit us both. I want us to form a mutually beneficial alliance. If you and your warriors offer my pack protection when we need it, we will provide to you any of our precious and most valuable raw materials you need. How is that?” I asked, feeling sure that he would jump at the offer because every other pack in the region envied us for our precious natural resources. Only a fool would turn our offer down.

“Is this a fucking joke?” Alpha Dante snapped, and I jumped.

“What? No!”

Alpha Dante’s voice became dangerously low. “So after you sent your men to attack my pack, and steal from me, you turn around to ask me to protect you? Have you lost your senses girl, or are you trying to provoke me to war?”

Fuck!

I felt panic flair up in my chest. Someone had attacked his pack already?! But that wasn’t supposed to happen until the next four months!

Everything was speeding up. It was all happening too soon, and Alpha Dante was already talking about launching the very war I was trying to prevent.

I took a deep breath, and forced myself to calm down. "Alpha Dante, I need you to believe me when I say that we never attacked you. Someone is trying to set us up, turn us against each other before we have a chance to team up. I want you to know that I am not your enemy. Someone is trying hard to make you believe my pack attacked yours and stole from you, but that is not true. We are honest people."

Alpha Dante snorted at that. "Honest my foot! I heard you're marrying that little boy, Alpha Jack right? Why don't you ask him for help instead?"

I sighed through my nose. I couldn’t tell him that my Fiancée Alpha Jack, who I was still engaged to, was the exact person we needed protection from. I would look like a joke and Alpha Dante would never take me seriously.

"He can't give me what I need," I just said, my voice firm. "Only you can."

There was a pause on the other end. "And what exactly do you need, lady Tamara?" His voice was deep and velvety again, I wanted to fall asleep and wake up to that voice.

I shook my head again.

"I need protection for my people. I need to form an alliance with you that can protect my people, and in return, we would give you what you need.”

Dante laughed, a dark, humorless sound. "And what do you think I need Tamara?"

The way he said my name was sinful.

"I don’t know, What do you want?" I asked, my heart pounding, hoping it was something we could afford to provide.

“I need a wife.” Alpha Dante said, and I froze.

“Excuse me?”

Ivonne's pov Despite his sarcasm, he was oddly encouraging. He would occasionally murmur, “Good call,” or “Don’t let her intimidate you,” when I dismissed a particularly arrogant woman. I caught myself feeling strangely grateful for his support — until Hector appeared at the edge of the courtyard, his presence instantly shifting the air. Sevrin stiffened beside me. I turned just in time to see Hector’s narrowed eyes on Sevrin. “You seem very invested in helping my fiancée,” Hector said coolly. Sevrin didn’t flinch. “You told me to assist her.” “Yes, but you have been overly friendly with her since you first met." I looked between them. “Oh, for heaven’s sake. He’s just helping me choose your mistresses, Hector. You could at least pretend to be grateful.” “I am grateful,” Hector said through clenched teeth. “I just find it strange how friendly my usually cold Gamma has suddenly become.” Sevrin met his Alpha’s glare evenly. “Thats because I'm her fan, I watched one of her plays

Ivonne’s POV"I never wanted any of them."He repeated but I didn't believe him.Heck! I couldn’t even look at him. Not after what all that had happened. Not after the twenty women standing in the hall earlier, preening and giggling like exotic birds waiting for their turn to perch on Hector’s arm. My chest was still tight from the memory — all their perfumes, the smug looks some of them gave me, and the quiet way Hector just stood there, saying nothing.I hissed and stormed off to my room. So when he knocked softly on my door and stepped inside without waiting for an answer, I didn’t even try to hide my irritation. “What do you want, Hector?” I asked flatly, keeping my back to him as I adjusted the ribbon on my sleeve. “I need to talk to you,” he said, voice low but steady. “About what? Which of your twenty women you’re keeping?” I snapped, turning around to face him. “Or maybe you came to see if I’ve picked which one gets to share your bed tonight?” His jaw tightened, but inst

Ivonne’s POVSevrin’s smirk widened. “Now that’s the spirit.” But I didn't care I just needed air. Real air. Not the kind that came with perfume and tension and twenty women staring daggers into my back. I turned on my heel, brushing past Justin before anyone could stop me. My head was pounding, my heart even worse. I couldn’t stand another second in that suffocating room full of fake smiles and fluttering lashes. “Excuse me,” I muttered, not even glancing at Hector. I didn’t trust myself to look at him without saying something I’d regret. But I’d barely made it halfway across the hall before I heard his voice — deep, clipped, authoritative. “Ivonne.” I froze, my hands curling into fists. Of course. He wasn’t going to let me go that easily. “I need to talk to you,” he said, his tone calm but carrying that undercurrent of command that always made my spine stiffen. “I’m not in the mood, Hector,” I shot back, not turning around. “You’ve already done enough today.” Behind me, I

Ivonne's pov He turned back to me, his voice lower this time. “You seem to know a lot of men, Ivonne.” I froze. “Excuse me?” He didn’t answer — just stared at me with that unreadable look that made my stomach twist in irritation. Before I could tell him exactly what I thought of his tone, Sevrin spoke again. “Speaking of men and women, we’ve got an issue that needs sorting.” I blinked. “What issue?” Sevrin crossed his arms. “The concubines.” I groaned. “Please tell me you’re sending them away from my home.” “That’s… not exactly what’s happening.” “What?” I said sharply. “Sevrin, they’re driving me insane. Half of them seem to keep parading around the hallways like models in a perfume commercial.” He lifted a brow. “That’s sort of the point.” “What point?” I snapped. Sevrin sighed. “There’s a council order. Since Hector is Alpha and you’re his Luna by arrangement, the council demands that four of the concubines be officially chosen as his permanent companions.”

Ivonne’s POV When I woke again, the room was dim, the soft evening light slanting through the curtains. My head still throbbed faintly, and the last thing I remembered was Justin’s face above me — the worried look in his eyes before everything went black. Now, he was still there. Sitting quietly by the window, scrolling through his phone. “...You didn’t have to stay,” I said hoarsely. Justin looked up immediately, relief softening his features. “You scared everyone, you know that?” “I didn’t mean to faint,” I muttered. “The cameras were just… overwhelming.” “I figured,” he said gently. “They were relentless. Like sharks that smelled blood.” I sighed and rubbed my temples. “I’m fine now. Really. You can go back to whatever you were doing before saving me from total humiliation.” He gave a small smile. “What if I told you this is what I was doing? Guarding fainting heiresses.” I rolled my eyes. “You’re impossible.” Before he could reply, the door opened — hard. Hector stepped

The lights, the noise, the heat — it all blurred together. I took a shaky step back, then another. The world tilted slightly.“Ma’am?” someone called.I blinked hard, trying to steady myself.
