It all started going wrong when Ted woke up to find Cathy at the foot of the bed pulling on her boots. Brown hair was pulled into a tight ponytail at the top of her head, a leather jacket was thrown over her shoulders.

Ted frowned. Once again he had slept so deeply that he hardly noticed her move from him. When exactly had she gotten up anyway? How long had she been awake to have had a bath and dress up?

This wasn’t good. He was getting too comfortable with being around her that he felt safe with her. It wasn’t good. His guard was down every time she was near. But most importantly, what was she doing?

He opened his mouth to speak.

“You weren’t going to leave without me were you?” Cathy asked. She was tightening the laces of her boots, straightening to a seated position when it was secure.
