This was the first time Eunice had seen Ian so compliant and frustrated.

As Marcus led everyone out of the lounge, Ian told Serena coolly, "I'll have someone take you home."

Serena hadn't been expecting that. She'd yet to have her fill of being by his side. Why did she have to leave so soon?

Still, she couldn't object. She only nodded obediently and said shyly, "Okay."

She knew all men liked women who listened to them. So, she watched silently as Ian left.

Bailey and Eunice were still around. They watched quietly as things played out and saw how Serena's eyes were practically glued to Ian's back.

Bailey snickered before sighing and saying, "Some people just can't stop dreaming about things that will never happen and coveting what will never be theirs."

Eunice glanced at her and smiled helplessly. Serena's back was to them. She bit her lip, her expression turning ruthless for a split second. But when she turned around, she'd already composed herself and put on a smile.
