For some reason, Lucille immediately caught Spencer's drift. She glared at him and said, "Dream on!"

Then, she pushed him away and hurried out of the kitchen, running right into Seth, who'd just returned. He asked, "Why's your face so red, Lucille? Are you burning up?"

She ignored him and hurried upstairs. He fell silent, feeling bemused as he watched her run up the stairs. What was wrong with her? Why had she hurried off upon seeing him? It wasn't like he was going to ask her for money.

Herbert happened to appear at that moment. Seth grabbed him and asked like a child waiting to be fed, "Is Lana done cooking, Herbert? I'm hungry."

Herbert smiled and said, "Lana's off today."

Seth frowned. "Doesn't that mean I won't have anything for dinner tonight?"

Herbert's smile grew. He pointed at the kitchen and said, "Mr. Spencer is in there."
