Rafe had navigated his way out of Cayton successful, far away from the city lights and neon signs. He was now somewhere east on the outskirts of town, the winding roads leading him further and further away from the danger he had just escaped from. He glanced at the back seat of his car, his gaze lingering on the body of a woman in the back seat. His lover, Ivy, lay there, lifeless and still. He had no idea what he had to do to help her, but he knew he had to keep going. He had to find help.
He turned to face the road, feeling the weight of Ivy’s body pressing down on him. He had no where to go, no idea what to do, and the body of his lover, lifeless in his car. He felt a wave of despair wash over him. He tightened his grip on the steering wheel and started hitting his head on it, calling out to the moon goddess to help him.Suddenly, she appeared. The goddess stood before him, her long silver hair billowing around her like a cape, her silver eyes shining in the moRafe's heart skipped a beat when he saw Ivy stir in their cottage. He had wiped her birthmark, and the next thing he knew, she was waking up from the dead. He couldn't decide whether he should be scared or happy. His mind raced with a million questions and he just had to know the answer. He watched Ivy slowly sit up in the bed, her face looking confused. She looked around the room, her eyes darting from corner to corner. Rafe held his breath. What was she going to say?Ivy's gaze eventually settled on Rafe, and she slowly said, "I've seen someone."Rafe was taken aback. "You saw someone? Who did you see?" he asked.Ivy shook her head. "I don't know," she said. "I just saw them. They were smiling at me. It was the most beautiful smile I've ever seen."Rafe's heart sank. He knew this was something he was not prepared to handle. He was worried about who she had seen and why she was acting so differently. He had to find out more."Wh
Ivy jolted with a sudden realization. She remembered the name of the woman who had brought her to life.Rafe gasped. He had been sitting next to Ivy when she had made the sudden discovery. He asked her to describe the woman she was thinking of.Taking a deep breath, Ivy began to describe her. "She was slender with curves and dark hair. Her eyes were green, like mine."Rafe covered his mouth with his hands, his expression paling. He knew exactly who Ivy was talking about."Mirabella," Rafe whispered, his voice barely audible. It had been a long time since he had thought of his ex-girlfriend.Ivy watched as Rafe's face crumpled, his shoulders shaking as he started to sob. His grief was palpable, and Ivy felt a pang of sympathy for him.She reached out and put a comforting hand on his shoulder. "It's alright," she murmured.Rafe shook his head. "No, it's not. I lost her a long time ago, and now I know why she did what she d
Ivy's eyes slowly fluttered open, a soft light illuminating the space around her. She felt something warm and tender on her forehead, and when she focused, she realized it was the sensation of someone's lips.Rafe's face came into view, his golden eyes twinkling in the dimness. He was beaming down at her, a soft smile playing on his lips, and in that moment she knew that everything was going to be alright. His fingers gently ran along her back, kneading her muscles in all the right places. She felt her body respond to his touch, and it was like a wave of energy washing over her.Rafe leaned back and looked into her eyes, and she felt something stir inside her. He recited a romantic poem to her, his voice low and tender, and she was captivated by the beauty of his words. As he finished, Rafe leaned in closer and kissed her again. This time it was different, more passionate and with a deeper meaning. He pulled away and looked into her eyes, and she
Raymond's fist connected with the wall with a loud crash, his rage and despair echoing through the room like thunder. He had heard about what had happened at Mr Jones' wedding and he was furious at his father. If only his father had allowed him to tag along, Rafe wouldn't have disrupted the wedding, challenged their father, who was their alpha and ran off with Ivy's body.Raymond knew he was powerful enough to stop his younger brother. The anger had been boiling inside Raymond for minutes, and now it had reached an unbearable level. He could feel his fists clenching, his body shaking and his heart pounding as he thought about the consequences of Rafe and Ivy's disappearance. It would be much harder to find them and separate them now.He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. He knew that he had to focus on the task at hand, but it was difficult to control his emotions. He had to find his brother and the girl he liked very much before it was too lat
The sun was setting over the horizon, casting a golden hue over the majestic mansion of Mr Jones Vones. He had invited two of his most trusted associates, Rafe's father and his eldest son, Raymond, to come see him. But as they arrived at the gates of the mansion, they could sense the tension that hung in the air. The butler opened the door and ushered them inside. Mr Vones was waiting for them in the grand hall, his expression unreadable. Rafe's father and Raymond exchanged a meaningful glance. They were expecting the worst to be said to them by Mr Jones Vones, yes, but the atmosphere in the room was too heavy. As they entered the grand hall, Mr Vones spoke. "I need solutions, I need solutions from the two of you" he said, his voice hard as steel. "My bride, the one Rafe took, is also mine. I am tired of this back and forth movement and I am contemplating killing Rafe." The words hung in the air, and Rafe's father and Raymond exchanged a h
Rafe had picked up a coat and that of Ivy and told her they would go for a walk. The house was too tight a space for him to have shared his father's past with her.As they got there, he sat down to process some information and then turned to tell her.Rafe slowly looked up at Ivy, his face illuminated by the faint light of the street lamp outside. He could feel the weight of the story he was about to tell her and he hesitated for a moment. He had never told his father's story to anyone before, and he wasn't sure how she would react. He had to tell her. He had to tell her the truth about his father and why they had to flee their former home, hunted by werewolf hunters. He had to tell her the truth about Mr. Cayton and the price his father had paid for their safety. Ivy's expression remained neutral as she waited for him to continue. Rafe cleared his throat and began, his voice low and measured."My father used to work for Mr. Jones Vones
The family sat in stunned silence as Rafe's father finished his story, each of them too terrified to make a sound. He had come home to tell them of the dire news that Mr Jones Vones had visited a witch doctor to harm Rafe if he did not bring back Ivy. Rafe's father had been worried, and now they all were, but there seemed to be no solutions.Raymond, Rafe's older brother, was the first to speak. "What can we do?" he asked, his voice trembling with fear. His father shook his head, the worry evident in his eyes.Rafe's mother spoke next. "We must find Rafe," she said urgently. "We must find him before it's too late." But nobody had any idea of where to look or how to find him.Rafe's father rose from his chair, his face grim. "I will do whatever I can to find our son," he said determinedly. "I will leave tonight and search until I find him."The family watched silently as he prepared to depart, their hearts heavy with fear and dread. Rafe's mother e
The sun was setting, painting the sky in a brilliant array of oranges, yellows and pinks. Ivy stood in the center of the cottage's front yard, her eyes scanning the horizon. She had been here for days. Everything had been going according to her plan. She was completely healed, and Rafe, who had been teaching her how to use her werewolf powers, was fine. He had earlier told her of his father being an assassin for Mr Jones Vones, and his suspicion that his father might have killed her parents. The thought of her parents being killed by Rafe's father made Ivy's blood boil. She clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, feeling the anger boiling inside her. She had to focus, she reminded herself. She had to be rational and logical.Ivy took a deep breath and looked around. The cottage was surrounded by a small forest, a few trees scattered here and there. She could see a few wolves in the distance, their bright yellow eyes peering out from the darkness. She realized tha
Mr Jones Vones charged at Dan with all his strength and in a few seconds, he had Dan on the ground again. The power punch was so impactful that it send Dan, again to the ground in seconds."Looks like this isn't a fair fight but it looks like that's the way it's going to have to be. Believe me" he said as he put his hand on his chest. " I had no intention whatsoever about ending our life long friendship this way but I guess that's how life plays it out to be. And who am I to object?" He said as he calmly recollected his steps. He paused for a while as he watched Dan catch his breath. Dan who was on the floor managed to get up as he tried to get on up on his feet. He couldn't and so he sat there, tired and exhausted from the blows he had received. He was a powerful alpha but time and age had taken a toll on him. He was not the same werewolf he used to be. "It is depressing seeing you this way but I have to go. So, I have to wrap this up quickly. It'll be almost impossible to kill all
Rafe turned his back as he immediately ran off. His father was holding the guards off and soon had all of them on the floor. Rafe turned to see his father as the only man standing while the other men were all on the floor. He smiled inwardly. That was the man he knew to be his father. The strong man who had taught him all those years. Yes!Dan had finished fight off all the guards sent to trap his son as he stood to make sure his son had escaped successfully. He saw Rafe leave the compound and watched as he disappeared into the woods."Dont think your son will be gone too far. When I'm done with you, I'll go for him and then the rest of your family" a familiar voice called out to him. Dan turned his head to see the speaker as he noticed Mr Jones Vones had moved from where he was and was now few feets away from him.A blow to the head nearly landed on him but luckily, he dodged it right on time as he pushed himself backwards, away from Mr Jones Vones. Dan fell to the ground as he did t
Dan stood to protect his son. Mr Jones Vones had grown powerful and he knew he probably had no chance fighting but he could not stand there and watch the bastard rip his son's heart out."You'll pay for this, you bastard! " He screamed at the top of his voice. He was angry now and was willing to do anything just to get back at Mr Jones Vones."I'm waiting.. Come get me! '' Mr Jones Vones said. He gave him a little smirk at the end of his speech as he lifted the heart in hand and threw it to him. "Have that as a trophy in your arms before I rip your son's heart out too. Don't worry. While I am at it, I'll rip your whole family's heart out too. How about that?!!" He said to Dan as he immediately started laughing. He coughed in between as the laughter seemed to have choked him. Dan turned his back as he leaned to his son's side and whispered.Rafe was still slightly unconscious as he couldn't really hear all what his father was saying but he tried to make some sense of it."Rafe, your u
Dan watched as his rival lifted his hand to gesture his guards to come to him. The first set of guards made their way to Mr Jones Vones as the next set walked to him with something in their hand. Dan looked closer. It wasn't a 'something', it was a someone. He looked again as he saw his brother all covered in blood. Damian looked tired as he opened his mouth gasping for air. His shirt and underwear were all covered in look. They had even been to read they now hung loosely on his body. Dan wanted to shout but he bit on his lower lip."I'm sure this won't be a hard choice to make but I would rather let you make the choice but yourself. So what is it going to be?" Mr Jones Vones clapped as he pointed to Damian. "Are you going to pick your brother over here? Or … " he moved his body as he pointed to Rafe, ".. your son over there. I just warn you, the moment you pick one person, the other one's life will go to waste. So who's it gonna be?" He ended his question with another clap. " I'll g
Rafe's head had hit the ground and he was still unconscious. His father tried to fight off the men that stood to block them off. Time passed slowly as it all happen. On one hand, Rafe was barely moving with blood rolling off his head, on the other hand, his father fought off the guards and in a not so far environment, Damian was trying with all his might to hold down Mr Jones Vones who had become a full wolf."I thought you were always against them. You said you hated them. That you wanted nothing to do with them. Nothing at all, but here you are fighting alongside them. Dagger, this is your last chance, stand down and let me end this successfully. I repeat, stand down!!" Mr Jones Vones said. Damian shifted back a little as he tried to massage his wrist. Mr Jones Vones had twisted it as they fought and he was sure it might have been broken."My real name is Damian. Damian Rawl and I'm sure you never knew that because you weren't my family. That's one things about family
Where do you think you're going with my prisoner?" Mr Jones Vones said to Dan and Damian. They had both paused at the sound of his voice and we're now facing him. Mr Jones Vones had a smirk on his face as he looked at both men. "I see your family has a history of stealing. Your son here, he stole my bride. Your brother stole my identity and now, you want to steal my prisoner. Does this always happen? Is your family never contented with what they have. Must they take what others have?" Mr Jones Vones said as he started to move. He had a casual look on his face, as though he was talking to people he didn't consider his enemies.Dan glared at him without staring. His brother had the same look. Damian had intially take a stance of defense. He had his legs apart and his torso strengthened. He was ready to take down all the men who came at him or his brother."It seems you have no idea what is yours and what isn't? You really need to have a rethink on that. Don't you think?" Dan said calmy
Damian turned to his brother to give him a death stare. He had no idea his brother knew him as Dagger. Dan froze in his step as he raised his face to stare back at his brother."Go on!. Answer me!. You already know what I mean. Tell me" Dan said to his brother as he tried to adjust his son's weight on his body. Rafe was gradually slipping off his shoulder and unto his back.Damian bit on his lower back as he stared into his brother's eyes for a while then turned to continue walking, "Won't you say anything?" Dan asked, he dropped his son to stretch his shoulders and then picked him back up. Damian had gone further in front- Dan picked up his son and walked a little faster to get to his brother."Won't you say a word? I didn't ask that question for nothing, you know!" Dan said as he caught up with his brother. Damian still did not say a word as he walked in front of his brother. Dan grew tired and so he forcefully nudged his hand into his brother's side."What was that for?!" Damian c
The figure walked to Rafe's cage. It bent over to have a look at him properly. It sighed and called out, "I think your son passed out when he saw me. Come in" Dan walked in after his brother, Damian. He rushed to his son's cage and fell to the floor to feel his son's pulse."I don't think so. He's been stressed lately Look at him. They had beaten the shit out of him, I can tell by the looks of things. His pulse is failing. We need to get him out of here and fast or he might actually die here. Come one" he said as he stood to his feet and turned to the other side of the cage."You need to be careful. Mr Jones Vones does not do things with the physical eyes. I can tell, "Damian said. His brother was about to cut the binds that held Rafe's hands together but he stopped him."Wait!!" He blurted out. "What is it??!!" Dan turned to his brother as he shouted out."Use something to test the cage. Don't touch it yet. I bet he knew we'd come. He must have set a trap somewhere, I'm sure" Damian
Rafe looked to his captor. He smiled, blood dripping from his mouth, "Is that all you have to say?" He huffed. "Well, I wasn't expecting them anyway so I guess it's a loss for you. I can't believe you came down here to tell me that. Don't you have something important to do?" He said to Mr Jones Vones.Mr Jones Vones was a bit taken back then reaction he got from Rafe. He had expected a tear or at least a loud cry. What he was seeing from Rafe was definitely not his plan of reactions."Aren't you surprised?" He asked Rafe. "It seems you didn't hear me. I said your father blew up in flames. I hope you know what that means. You have just lost your alpha and father. I won" he said with wide eyes. He must have expected Rafe to react while he said it the second time but Rafe still stared at him blankly."Clearly, I heard you last time. Repeating yourself only makes me see you desperate to get a reaction from me." Rafe said as he stared again.Mr Jones Vones stood up from his chair. He was n
