Chapter 822

Ian didn't respond to Abby's words but instead turned to Sage and said, "Shall I take you home?"

"No need," Sage declined. "I have a dinner appointment with a client. I'll go in and change my clothes first."

Even though Ian wanted to chat more with Sage, he noticed that she kept checking the time, so he wisely decided not to hold her up any longer.

"Alright, be careful," Ian reminded.

Sage wasn't quite used to such tenderness from Ian. She didn't respond to him, nodded at Abby, and then headed to the dressing room.

In the lounge, Abby noticed that Ian's gaze was still fixed on Sage's departing figure.

In a sweet voice, she said, "Mr. Holcomb, you're so devoted to Ms. Joyner. Sooner or later, she'll be moved by your feelings."

Ian remained silent. Although Sage had been less resistant to him lately, she was still far from being moved.
