Leaving solitude

The next day, Terry visited the estate early in the morning. When he arrived, one of the maids showed him in and led him to the dining room where I was.

When he walked into the room, the moment he saw me, he was stopped in his tracks by the shock of what he had seen. As Terry stood there, he watched as I finished a large plate of food, and as he looked across the table, all that could be seen were empty plates.

Terry cleared his throat and asked, "I see you're feeling better?"

When I looked at Terry, he could see my skin was still somewhat pale, but I looked much healthier than I did the other day, "Yes, thank you. I was just finishing my breakfast."

A bead of sweat went down Terry's forehead as he looked at the piles of empty plates, "That was just breakfast?"

I looked at him, slightly confused, "Yes, why?"

"No reason! Since you've finished eating, shall we go pick up your dress for the wedding tomorrow?"

"Of course, I'll tell the driver where to go."
