P A R T - [ 7 ]

 [ STEFANO DE NIRO  ]

I sat on the edge of my office desk,a bandage taped on my knuckle,bruises all over my chest,with few of fainting blue and black wounds,specimen of my life.

"You look awful boss,"Luca released a gasp entering in his office,he had seen his master many times in battered condition and each time,it bothered him,after all Stefano was the future of their mafia world.

"You may leave now Doctor,thankyou for coming on short notice."Luca said to the doctor,who treated my wounds and currently prescribing my medicines.

"It is my duty for De Niro family Luca."Doctor Nicholas nodded his head in respect and headed out of the room.

"Let's go in the bar,"I said to Luca as the room smelt like antiseptic and metallic tangy blood.I had been living in blood and death but the smell never suited me.

He nodded his head in understatement and we walked to the mini bar of my mansion.The day couldn't end on such horrible note when I had to raise gun on a woman,a woman whose pair of beautiful bluest eyes disturbed my peace of mind.I had a shit time in concentrating on my work.

Destiny Carter,I hate you for this.

Luca poured me some raw whiskey,he knew my moods and always serve me according to my temper and I badly needed a strong alcoholic drink.

"Signora non significava invadere la tua privacy. Non è una spia. È troppo ingenuo per il lavoro."Luca said tearing the silence between us.

(The lady didn't mean to invade your privacy.She isn't a spy.She is too naive for the job.)

"Can we not talk about her?"I winced on remembering thr scene when I saw pure horror on her face when she stood in front of me like a scarcedy fawn.

I know it wasn't intentional,she had no heart for spying on me.A pure soul like her can never be a treacherous person but she must understand,I can't be the man she thinks I am.

I am a monster and she must stay out of my way to save her life,a new life she had been dreaming for.

I dug on her past for my assurance and what I found,deepened my oath to eliminate Victor's existence from earth.

He had kept her prisonor to ravage her once she surrender to him and it wondered me more how a straw like girl endured the hell for years.

It gravitated me more towards her.Her hidden feminine secrets behind the rug she wears to hide her assets from greedy manly eyes.

I won't let any men even spare a glance at her because she is mine to claim.

She is the first woman,who doesn't throw herself on me,who has no lust for my charms or money.She sees me as her saviour.

"Sir I think you have enough for tonight.You should take some rest now,we have an early meeting with the Romanov in Poland."Luca suggested in a lowered voice.

"Why in Poland?"I arched a brow at him for explanation. 

"He is a wanted criminal in Russia,he is in hide on the borderland between Poland and Russia."Luca answered.

"Thank you for your concern Luca but I do not loose my senses in a bottle so don't worry about me and take rest yourself.I'll see you in the morning."I said in a dismissive tone as I wanted some time alone to clear my mind.

And I badly needed a good fuck to get my mind and dick off from Destiny.

"Good night Boss,"Luca walked out of my sight and I took a breath of relief.Being alone gives me the best pleasure. 

I gulped a few more shots of my drink until I felt my body feeling a little tipsy.I glanced at the huge clock on the wall that showed half past one in the night.

I usually don't sleep this early so having no sleep and a wh*re to fuck,I decided to take a stroll in the garden which might not be good idea in the scorching summer but it was better than to twist on bed. 

Taking off my sweaty shirt from my heated body,I grabbed the half bottle of whiskey and made my way to the back of the garden.I didn't take my gun with me as during nights,security is doubled.

The silence of mid night was only tore by the noise of crickets.The slightly colder breeze helped to dry up my sweaty frame.I gulped another shot and let the burning sensation numb my headache.

I walked more in the vast garden where giant tree stood,this area is rather dangerous as enemy can hide in the bushes but it's not a problem,my security team is the best in the country yet my guards advised me not to wander in this area specially in the night.

I spent almost an hour in strolling aimlessly until the last drop from the bottle found its way down my throat,I decided to head back inside the mansion but my legs halted when I spotted a female figure sitting on the edge of a fountain.

By the lean frame,it didn't take me long to recognize her.

It was Destiny but what was she doing in the garden at this hour of night.I glanced at her once again.She was sitting there motionlessly that aroused my curiosity.My legs involuntarily begun stepping in her direction but I tried to tip toe careful enough to let her enjoy her own peace.

"Spero che non stai soffrendo di dormire a piedi la principessa."I said stopped a meter away from her.

(I hope you're not suffering from sleep walking Princess)

My sudden appearance definately startled her and she almost lost her balance.

"Oh God you scared me Stefano."She placed her right palm on the left side of her chest,her doe eyes blinking at me in after shock.

I inhaled a sharp intake of breath listening my name from her silly voice.It sounded so sexy.I imagined how it will sound she moan my name,the slightest imagination gave a twitch in my pants.

"I sincerely apologize if I scared you Princess."I smirked standing right in front of her that made her self conscious as she squirmed on her place.

"Its..its fine Ste-"She bit her lips if she remembered something,"I am sorry Sir.I should be leaving now.I came here because I wasn't feeling sleepy."

I frowned when she addressed me like others,it meant my men or my cousin warned her not to call me by name.

But I love to hear my name from her mouth.

"I didn't own an explanation from you Princess,it's totally fine if you roam in the premises of this estate except the restricted areas."I said honestly,after all she wasn't my captive but a refugee.

Her head lowered as soon as I finished.The serenity I witnessed on her beautiful angelic face,disappeared,it made me frown in confusion though I didn't show it on my face. 

"I am very sorry that I went inside..inside that...room without permission."She stuttered badly,fear was evident on her face.

It twisted something inside me.I recalled her terrified expressions when I aimed the gun on her,if only she knew I can never hurt a pure,fragile and harmless soul like her but she doesn't fit in my world.

And she is fatal for me.

"You do not need to apologize for something you had done unintentionally Princess,come now let's go inside it's almost three in the morning."I tried to dissmiss thr subject that bothered me throughout the day but it couldn't ease the guilt on her face.

I sighed in exasperation.I suck at comforting someone,fuck!I don't even under the depth of this emotion it is forbidden in my world.

"I said it is alright as you went there by mistake but make sure it won't happen ever again,now forget it.Come let's go inside."I said in a colder tone this time so she gave up the rant and my mind finally have its peace.
