Chapter 23

Over a couple of days, Ryker and I had gone back to our usual banter. We fight on every little thing. Who gets to the room first will be the one to sleep on the bed that day. I didn't know how we came to that rule but it was the day before yesterday when Ryker entered the room and found me in bed with papers and laptop scattered around. I used to underestimate the manager position that I was given because I didn't work that much. But the charity event was happening in two days that was then and now it was happening the next day. I had been tasked with the responsibility of managing everything and making sure their rides were all in check.

That was how Ryker got the idea of setting the rules. We argued and out of anger, I agreed. Now I was trying my best to return home so I would dominate the bed to myself. And that was exactly what happened. I escaped from the office when Ryker was out. I didn’t care about the consequences. I just needed to have the bed all by myself.
