Brynne’s heart thumped wildly as she finally realized what she had agreed to. “You can’t force yourself on me, Luke.” Her breath hitched when his lips grazed her neck upwards to her ear.

“I don’t need to use force. That’s not my style. I’m sure you know that by now! One touch and I’ll have you begging for more.” A tremor went up her spine, not out of fear but from need. The feather light touch of his lips was enough to arouse her. His arm went around her waist and he pulled her flush against his warm chest, holding her gaze all the time.

“It seems you’ve mastered the art of seduction. Do you hook up with every female you see? Just like the one you were talking to earlier.” He stared at her for a minute, and then flashed her a boyish grin.

“You have no reason to feel jealous. I’m only yours for the next six days.” Brynne rolled her eyes, but a warm flush stained her cheeks. She knew he was trying to seduce her to give in.

“I’m not your wife to feel jealous. You can go to hell!” He chuc

Dominic Throughout the wedding ceremony, I tried my best to focus on the event. But Kimberly’s words echoed in my mind. I didn’t want to believe her, but what if they were true? Throughout the day, I fought hard, trying not to let them affect me. Yet they seeped into my system and shattered my mental peace. How could Julia hide her actual identity from me? I loved her so much. Why couldn’t she confide in me? If it hadn’t been for the wedding, I would have confronted her. I didn’t deserve this. I watched her stand beside her best friend, but she looked lost and dazed. Her attention was more on me than on Daniella. She looked guilty and sad. Did she guess I knew her secret? Did that mean Kimberly was right? Flashback Kimberly’s House“I want Diego’s custody for only a few years, not forever. Once Thomas dies, I’ll return him to you. Please, grant me this favor, Dominic. My life will be set, and I won’t bother you again.” Her fake tears streamed down her face, but they failed to mo

Julietta / Julia “I’m off food today, Brynne. Please, I’ll throw up.” Daniella rested her head, closing her eyes to go back to sleep. It was her wedding day, and we were concerned about her since morning. Nausea had hit her hard at two weeks, and she was quite upset. “It’s not advisable to stay on an empty stomach in your condition, Dani. It’ll trigger your nausea. You can’t sail through the day,” explained her mom. “Yes, eat light, bland food, and I’m sure you’ll be fine,” coaxed Aunt Sarah. I simply followed their instructions, not knowing much about pregnancy.Aunt Sarah turned towards me. “Julia, can you ask Becky to make some lime and ginger chicken soup for Dani?” I nodded and left for Mom’s apartment, where their trusted housekeeper, Becky Foster, worked. There was so much to do. Mom, Damien, and Elena were busy all morning. Dominic had disappeared since morning after returning late last night when I had already fallen asleep. I was dying to talk to him, but he was avoidi

Julietta / JuliaMy heart was heavy as the car sped home from the airport. The two days had gone by in the blink of an eye, and now I was struggling with jet lag.“I’m too exhausted to meet everyone tonight. They’ve gone out for dinner. We can just sleep it off and meet them tomorrow. In the evening, there will be their pre-wedding bash and rehearsal dinner.” Dominic yawned as we neared home.“I can’t attend any events tonight.” I snuggled against his chest and closed my eyes.Thankfully, no one saw us sneak into our apartment. The next morning, a hurricane hit us when Diego and Leonardo invaded our peaceful abode. They had come over to get their football gear, but were shocked to see us.“Dad, Mom.. I mean, Aunt Julia, when did you return?” He stammered as I poured coffee for Dominic and I.“Late last night. So, we didn’t bother you.” Dominic looked up from his laptop momentarily. Since morning, he had been glued to the device with a scowl, and I didn’t disturb him.“I knew it. I saw

Julietta / JuliaI glanced in the mirror one last time before heading out on my first date with my husband. The emerald one-shoulder maxi dress gave me confidence to go bold with my look. I added smoky eye and red lip makeup to complement my look. The results were dramatic and made me look seductive. Would Dominic approve? I had never been more conscious of my appearance than I was now. I wanted to look good, just like his wife should. But where was he?He had disappeared for almost twenty minutes, asking me to get ready. With everyone leaving Santorini and going home, Dominic and I had the best time of our lives all day. We explored the island, and he splurged on me, buying me more than I ever needed. We returned to the hotel and made love everywhere – on the sofa, on the bed, in the shower cubicle, and also on the blanket spread out on the balcony. I was sore yet insatiable. And now, this exciting date. I had no idea where he was taking me. But I didn’t want this to end. I wante

Dominic The reception was a great success, far exceeding my expectations. I hadn’t expected things to turn out so well. It was surprising Kimberly hadn’t employed goons to disrupt the wedding. Maybe she would have if we had planned the event in New York. Julia and I walked out hand in hand after the cake cutting. Diego was returning home with the others, and I felt relaxed for the first time. More so since I had switched off my phone. Kimberly was taking it too far, resorting to all kinds of threats in her desperation to stop the wedding. Where was she when Diego was little? If she had begged for forgiveness ten years ago or taken care of Diego, I would have considered patching things up with her. I didn’t love her, but for Diego’s sake, I would have forgotten my grudges. But ten years was a long time, and my heart had blocked her out forever. Now, no amount of pleading or threatening would make me melt towards Kimberly Forester. I wondered what evidence she had against Julia.“Fo

DominicTears pooled in my eyes as I watched my bride walk towards me. She looked so ethereal in her bridal attire, it almost felt like a dream unfolding before my eyes. For a decade, I had given up on love. I had never expected to see myself marrying someone, trusting someone again, let alone loving her. But Julia had changed everything with her simplicity and selflessness. She wasn’t with me with any ulterior motive. She was with me because she wanted to be with me. We might have started on the wrong footing, yet I could feel her love in everything she did. And most importantly, her love for Diego knew no bounds. The tears broke all restraint and fell. Yet they were happy tears. I couldn’t express the joy in my heart at seeing her right before me, ready to marry me despite the way I had treated her.Her radiant face held no grudge against me.
