Brynne’s heart thumped wildly as she finally realized what she had agreed to. “You can’t force yourself on me, Luke.” Her breath hitched when his lips grazed her neck upwards to her ear.

“I don’t need to use force. That’s not my style. I’m sure you know that by now! One touch and I’ll have you begging for more.” A tremor went up her spine, not out of fear but from need. The feather light touch of his lips was enough to arouse her. His arm went around her waist and he pulled her flush against his warm chest, holding her gaze all the time.

“It seems you’ve mastered the art of seduction. Do you hook up with every female you see? Just like the one you were talking to earlier.” He stared at her for a minute, and then flashed her a boyish grin.

“You have no reason to feel jealous. I’m only yours for the next six days.” Brynne rolled her eyes, but a warm flush stained her cheeks. She knew he was trying to seduce her to give in.

“I’m not your wife to feel jealous. You can go to hell!” He chuc

  • A Deal With The Devil   Book 3: Chapter Forty-Eight – All My Love

DominicTears pooled in my eyes as I watched my bride walk towards me. She looked so ethereal in her bridal attire, it almost felt like a dream unfolding before my eyes. For a decade, I had given up on love. I had never expected to see myself marrying someone, trusting someone again, let alone loving her. But Julia had changed everything with her simplicity and selflessness. She wasn’t with me with any ulterior motive. She was with me because she wanted to be with me. We might have started on the wrong footing, yet I could feel her love in everything she did. And most importantly, her love for Diego knew no bounds. The tears broke all restraint and fell. Yet they were happy tears. I couldn’t express the joy in my heart at seeing her right before me, ready to marry me despite the way I had treated her.Her radiant face held no grudge against me. I knew I had avoided her since last night, but I couldn’t face her. Kimberly’s evil stunt to stop the wedding from happening had sapped all my

Julietta / JuliaThe beautiful wedding gown with crystal embellishments on the neckline clung to my curves and cascaded down to the floor in waves. With my hair fixed in a French knot and the veil covering my head, I couldn’t believe I was really getting married. After my father’s death, I had struggled to survive in this world all by myself. Never had I expected to get married to someone. And now that I was, my heart felt heavy and my eyes lacked lustre. It wasn’t the wedding I wanted. It wasn’t the happily ever after I had wished for. To the world, it might be a fairytale love story, but only I knew the truth. There was no love. It was a fake wedding. I was Dominic’s wife in name only. My heart bled as I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I looked the unhappiest bride alive! “Smile, Julia! Everything will be fine.” Brynne hugged me briefly. They had no idea what I was going through. After knowing Dominic had come over to see me, I tried calling him. But strangely, he had swi

Julietta / JuliaThe next morning, I opened my eyes to see my friends excitedly chattering. “Rise and shine, sleepyhead! It’s your wedding day!” exclaimed Daniella, looking more excited than everyone else, including me.I flashed her a fake smile, Dominic and Diego’s conversation still echoing in my head. Would Diego stop addressing me as his mom?My heart would surely break.A knock on the door made me dash towards the washroom. Was Dominic here for me?When I emerged, the girls chuckled at my state. “Why did you run? It’s just breakfast in bed sent by Aunt Vera.”“Oh.” Why did I feel so disappointed? After facing Dominic’s weird behavior for the last few days, did I expect him to miss me?“Help yourself if you want some. I can devour it all!” Brynne picked up a plate and served herself abundantly.Daniella ate straight from the serving bowls!I rolled my eyes and followed Daniella. Who was here to check on us?“Feast while you can, girl! After the wedding, you’ll be the feast!” chuc

  • A Deal With The Devil   Book 3: Chapter Forty-Five – Where’s The Magic?

Julietta / Julia My body ached, but the pain was nothing compared to the one in my heart. Ever since the day we arrived in Santorini, Dominic and I had enjoyed physical proximity every time we were together. But it somehow felt like a ritual. It wasn’t the lovemaking we had shared the first time. Somehow, the magic was lost. In the blink of an eye, my world had crumbled before I could have built it. Why did Kimberly always hold the upper hand in my relationship with Dominic? He hardly stayed after a fu*k, spending the night somewhere else. I knew something was bothering him, but I couldn’t reach out. Then why was he marrying me if his heart didn’t agree? He was free to cancel everything and return after a nice vacation with his family. He could just kick me out of his life and embrace his ex-wife instead. For the last few days, he had always been busy with his mom and grandpa, escorting them to museums, wellness centers, and other boring places. The others had been going out to exp

  • A Deal With The Devil   Book 3: Chapter Forty-Four – What Did Kimberly Want?

Julietta / JuliaWe could hardly catch our breath when they whisked us away to explore the Akrotiri archeological site nearby. “We’ve dropped our shopping plan,” said Brynne. Dominic threaded his fingers through mine, and we walked like a couple in love. After the way he had addressed me, I was thoroughly confused. Why did he call me ‘love’?“All this volcanic ash preserved the Minoan city,” said Drake as we navigated through an impressive network of buildings and rooms filled with earthenware. It gave us a rough idea of how life was like in Akrotiri around 3000 B.C. The Minoan frescoes depicted vibrant scenes of their everyday lives. With Dominic explaining the scenes to me, I could vividly imagine it all. “I can’t go another step forward without a stopover. Let’s stop for lunch, please,” said Elena. Diego and Leonardo agreed wholeheartedly.“I want pizza,” said Lucas, Lucien’s younger son. We headed towards our vehicle while the kids searched for pizzerias nearby. The vehicle d

DominicShe was so f*cking pretty! It took me an effort not to growl at the sight of her pus*y. ‘Calm down, Dom! Give her time to adjust to you!’ prodded my inner mind. Yet my hand sneaked between our bodies to touch her silken skin. But I pulled her forward instead until our bodies molded perfectly. I could feel her slick folds rubbing against my leg. It drove me wild. After my admission, would she let me make love to her? How did I get this obsessed with her? It seemed she had ruined me for life. This definitely wasn’t a simple obsession. It was an elemental need coupled with something else. Was it love? This time, I couldn’t rule out the possibility. Her eyes glazed with need as she listened to me intently. “Mm hmm, and how can I make this place your favorite? Is there a secret spell for it?” She chuckled as if to tease me. “By giving in..” I ran my fingers down her back until I found the hem of her top. My hand slid up underneath it, making her gasp. She threaded her hand thro
