Thirty-Nine: Public Knowledge.

“What are you doing here?” Sofia asked, using a finger to push a strand of hair behind her ears. The sun reflected in her brown eyes and she found herself taking a conscious step back. She was meters away from the roads and a few steps below from where he stood.

Sofia dreaded the moment that she would face him alone—especially after he came to Salem with her father.
