************

I was just trying to whisper out my distressing tale to Kalmia. "I don't know...I'm getting tired," was what I almost whispered, weighty as this particular discussion was about our investigation-the extensive researching hours and endless leadless cat-chases. It had been suffocating. I am drowning in the ocean of confusion with no lifeline around.

But Kalmia responded to that immediately. "No, baby, please don't say that," she said urgently, almost in an insulted tone. "We can't back out now, not when we finally got it." It was almost like a shot of adrenaline into my system, with its reaction speeding up in me again.

The conversation turned back on topic after the ringing of my phone. My eyes fell on the screen displaying Joseph's name. I paused at the moment and thought of whether I should answer it or not, but the hopeful gesture from Kalmia egged me to pick it up.

"Joseph," I stated with an unyielding tone, calling him on speaker. His voice became alive and then i

He came to a halt only when he reached my position. His hands slapped on the sides of my body against the wall, effectively trapping me.It made me horrified as well as angry to realize that I was cornered. "What are you up to, Mr. Man?" Drawing on every ounce of my control not to tremble, I demanded. In reply, he merely broke into a wicked laughter, a sneer stretching his lips that sent ice through my veins.I might have exploded at that moment, a kettle boiling over from a stove that had been left unattended. I was so angry, I didn't think before pushing him with all my strength. My hands hit his chest, and he stumbled backward, crashing against the table. The table couldn't take the weight, splintering and sending fragments flying outwards.Like I had a vision of his demise, heartrending o

KALMIA’S POV I stood at the mouth of the compound, surveying the surroundings, mind racing with apprehensive thoughts that settled so deeply in me. The glorious sun beat down on my skin-even then, a chill finger ran down my spine at the thought of that suspicious, unknown man lurking about in shadow. Turning to the gate man, Jacob, my voice firm but tinged with a hint of concern, ready to boil over into full-blown anxiety. "Have you seen any strange or unknown man in this compound?" I asked with a glare in his direction, searching for an answer to any relief in his hesitation or deception. The light of my gaze fell on him, my eyes trying to pry the truth from the web he had spun with his words. Jacob squirmed beneath my scrutiny, his eyes darting back and forth like a trapped animal seeking a way out. The gatekeeper Jacob nodded slowly, his head drooped, remembering some dreadful thing he was trying hard to forget. "Yes, ma'am, I did," he muttered, voice straining away from him l

************* We were just halfway through supper when we were suddenly struck by a scream that rented all the air and shattered the meal. The words spoken, of course, were almost inaudible; yet the tone was unmistakably clear-an expression of despair and anguish, full of dread, and very quickly sending a chill through my spine. "Who's that?" I asked Jacob quickly, with eyes wide open in curiosity and concern, my head turning toward him with expectation to know who could be crying. I waited, leaning over the table on my elbows, with my fingers tightly entwined, for Jacob to complete his response while the argument persisted and became more raucous, stubborn as a mule, my anxiety feeding upon it. While Jacob's eyes flicked almost afraidly towards the window, he breathed, as "I don't know, madam," he said, "Maybe it's that stranger.” Suddenly, I remembered that the odd man was still in the compound, and an ill-restrained smile crept over my face. A shock from the stranger seemed funn

****************An interrogation-like calm would accompany the oft-pondered reply from Jacob: "Should we beat him, Ma?" The sound of it was neither warm nor cold but rather mellow and more comforting than the summer breeze, yet it carried a hint of curiosity. "Shouldn't we?" I pondered, taking a deep breath, wanting to calm my heart, looking at the weighable options. Tension in the air: to weigh the pros and cons, to picture everything possible. "No, no, no, let's not beat him," was how I responded, almost in a whisper. I shook my head slightly, almost imperceptibly, with an authority that felt almost palpable. "So he wouldn't die, then we won't take laws into our own hands," I rushed in saying-willing my thought to somehow construct an explanation. Piling before him were my confused thoughts and equally conflicting feelings, all seeming to pour with such urgent importance. Jacob considered what I said while nodding thoughtfully, not removing his eyes from mine. His mask-like calm

I could see myself reaching for the award—just as the recording started playing. The recording played, and I heard my sister’s voice, pleading for help, saying people were going to hurt her.But the shock came when I heard my supposed reply on the recording.“Some things are more important than family… I’ve got an award to win!”That was my reply. Every wife knew what that meant, and there was no way I could pretend otherwise. My throat felt dry as I tried to respond, but, honestly, I was grateful for the excuse. I had no idea what to say.The close intimate position we were in made my legs wobbly and weak and the soft brushes of his clothed groin on my V area , left my breath hooking at the peak of it's relaxation, coming out in a disorderly fashion.Pl… please…” my voice barely came out as a whisper, and I felt him rise slightly from my body.“You’re my wife. I’m not that cruel,” he said before finally standing up and leaving the room.As soon as he was gone, I to

  • A DEAL WITH THE BILLIONAIRE   CHAPTER THIRTY ONE

************* Kalmia probed, "Okay baby, what do we do now?" a lilt of curiosity and little anticipation in her voice. The words had barely settled in the air between us, suspended in that moment of expectation, and she waited for my response. Her expressive eyes were surveying mine, glittering with hope, inspiration, and insight. I paused for a second to marshal my thoughts, sifting through instances.. The silence suspended in the air held the anticipation alive. Finally, I answered, my voice heavy and slow, "I don't know." These words came out like molasses, rich and thick as syrup, while I weighed my thoughts to determine what, if anything, we were going to do. Kalmia’s eyes were still on mine; encouraging and shining with expectation were those eyes. Softly and encouragingly, she urged me on: "First of all, let me call my friend, yeah, you are right, please do that." The words came in a smooth rush, gentle yet full of hope and promise. Her fingers moved swiftly and surely over

ARROW'S POV I stood there, feeling that afterglow of a passionate session, with pride and satisfaction. "Why won't you get tired?" I asked, my voice low and husky, my eyes lighting up with amusement, "Don't you know I'm a king?" "When I insert my dick in you, I shoot fire," I said, letting my words hang in the air dangling like a challenge, a promise of pleasure and passion. Kalmia laughed immediately like a melody in the room, her eyes sparkling with mirth and amusement. "I consent, just let me rest small," the whispered voice was barely audible, like gentle, honeyed breezes on a summer's day. Gazing at her laid out on the bed in all relaxation and satisfaction, I could feel something brewing in me--an emotion of love and tenderness. "Mr. Dick," she called in a voice husky and seductive as her eyes sparkled with amusement and playfulness. So, she stretched out on the bed, at last relaxed and satisfied, and something seemed to bubble up inside me--a feeling of fondness and tendern

  • A DEAL WITH THE BILLIONAIRE   CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

KALMIA’S POV As soon as I was through the inviting and warm doorway of our home, I sighed with relief, the reprieve barely out of my mouth when she cum back in, leading me dazed and confused through the events of that day that lay before me. "We're home, baby," I managed to croak out, my voice hardly above a whisper, as I fought to accept the revelations that had shattered my insides dumb.I confronted him, my eyes black with questions, and asked, "Do you think we saw each other today at the hospital?" The words burst forth from my mouth, piqued with emotions that alternated between shock, disbelief, and a touch of apprehension. I paused then, inhaled deeply, then almost timidly, confessed, "What next?"But instead of the dark, brooding visage I had expected, Arrow broke into a rumbling grin that I was certain would shake the walls very near at hand. I felt terribly tired-sick from the emotional roller coaster ride of the day. The last thing I wanted to do was think. Not now. I wa

But we didn't have time to open the door before a man emerged from the shadows, his coming sudden and unexpected, like the soft, silent rustle of leaves in a fall breeze."Good day, sir," the man declared, his voice firm and authoritative, like the soft, gentle thumping of a summer drumbeat. I rose to him, my gaze locked on his, like the soft, gentle glance of a summer moon blazing full in the black heavens. "Good day, sir, Mr. Man," I replied, my voice measured and deliberate, like the languid, soothing beat of a summer's afternoon. His eyes contracted, such as the soft, mild concentration of a sunbeam, as he inquired,"Who are you looking for?" His voice was cautious, the gentle, soft hum of a summer bug, and it sounded like something illicit, something we could not be permitted to see. I was starting to get a creeping fear taking over me, the soft, gentle caress of a summer breeze on a hot,
