Chapter Fourteen: Rendall's Answer.

"You don't like her, do you?" Helia looked away from Rendall and Danica who were acting all lovey-dovey to Selene, who had just joined her.

Danica was the illegitimate daughter of the Gamma of Wulfe. She was born a few months before the birth of Rendall. Her mother was not the Gamma's mate but the Gamma treated her equally as he treated the children of his mate. He took her with him to the Alpha court whenever she wanted and there, she met Rendall and they both became friends. They were more like childhood sweethearts and as Helia who was with the both of them saw that she was nothing but a third wheel who did nothing but watched as old friends bonded, she excused herself and went to the toilet. If she had spent any more time with them, she would have most probably shifted to Nalea as she could feel herself losing control with every passing moment.
