Tristan pov

I can't believe what I just heard, I checked the caller again to confirm if I was really talking to Lyla. Adriana stopped shat she was doing when she saw how worried I looked on the call.

“You're good?” Adriana asked me and without replying her I walked out of the kitchen. I didn't know what to tell her and I was trying not to ruin her mood with the Lyla conversation so I had to leave the kitchen but I hope she sees it that way and not think I was snubbing her questions.

“Tristan.” My mom called with a bright smile as she was approaching the kitchen but I couldn't reply her. I left the house and started the car immediately. Lyla told me to meet her at a restaurant if I want to confirm she's really alive. While I was driving to go see her I couldn't believe I was hoping it was a spam call or someone else just trying to prank me.

“There's no way Lyla is really alive.” I muttered to myself and increased the cat speed. Adriana and everyone at hok kept calling he on phone

Tristan povLyla was very upset with me that she couldn't gage any other conversation. She stood up and left angrily. I can't believe I told her such a thing. I sat down still on the same chair, unable to move or say a word but what shocked me the most is that I didn't regret saying anything to her. “She must be really pissed.” I muttered to myself and remembered the disappointment in her eyes after what I said. Lyla has never been the persistent type of person with what I have to her dye will never bother me again. I finally had the strength to stand up, so I stood up and walked out of the hotel, the moment I was out I sent a message to the driver to come pick the car while I followed a cab back home. After what happened just now I don't think I'm in the right frame of mind to drive myself back home. While the cab was driving me back to the house I heard my phone ring, as just as I thought it was Adriana, I couldn't bring myself to pick the call so I decided not to pick but instea

Adriana povI don't know what git me angry the more, was it because he went to see Lyla without telling us about it, or the fact that he lied when they asked him. I was mad because the Tristan I know doesn't care about anything or anyone, he would say the truth no matter what but this time he lied. I got to the room and slammed the door angrily. I didn't know if I had the right to be angry or not, but I couldn't help it. When I got to the room I sat on the bed and heaved a sigh. I thought maybe I was overreacting but the whole thing was booster when I saw his parents reaction too. I really needed someone to tell everything to, I need someone that'll be on my side no matter what. I brought out my phone and dialed Kristina’s number, then I suddenly remembered what was written on the contract before I signed it. “There just be no third party even in a misunderstanding.” I dropped my phone when I remembered this line. Then I looked outside through the window. I suddenly felt relieved

Adriana povHearing what Tristan said made me realize that Lyla might be back for good this time and ready to do whatever it takes to get Tristan back. She has been moving around and making it known to people already that she is alive and healthy, very soon she'll go to the media for a proper interview and that when I come in, everyone will now see me as the bad person and some might think I have a hand in her disappearance. I turned to look at Tristan who still looked shocked while staring at the picture. “We just had a conversation, and this hug, she forced it.” While Tristan was married to Lyla for year's there's never been rumors about him cheating and with this picture Lyla might make it known to the world that Triatan is still in love with her.“Why is Lyla doing this?” Tristan asked. Still very surprised. I Was still unable to say anything to him because I judged him without hearing his side of the story first. While we were sitting quietly in the room with Tristan asking r

Chapter 88Adriana povI sighed as Tristan walled out of the room. I can't believe I said that to him even when I know I'm in love with him already. The look on his face when I told him we should get a divorce, he looked very disappointed, sad and angry. What else was I supposed to say?I fell with my back on the bed as I looked at the ceiling thinking really hard about the whole thing. Everything is a mess right now and with the way Lyla is behaving I don't think she's going to stop, I have to remove myself before it's too late. ***************I stretched my hand to pick my phone and then I realized it was almost time for dinner. I would have to see Tristan again after telling him about the divorce, or would it be better if I talk about the divorce while we're eating on the dinning?“No, it'll ruin everyone's mood.” I snapped out of it immediately and decided not to say anything like that on the dining and just focus on having dinner and returning to the room. While I was thinkin

He turned to look at me and smiled. “How are you doing?” He asked me with a brother's smile on his face. It’s been a while since Tristan stayed long at home, so it was kind of weird having him at home today.“I’m doing great.” I replied to him excitedly and sat on the couch beside him. Tristan looked like he was very invested in what he was reading so I didn’t think it was the right time to talk to him about what happened yesterday. We were both quiet for a while, I was still sitting there thinking of how to start the conversation but I couldn’t think of any better way to bring it up. “Lyla was here.” Tristan paused what he was doing the moment he heard what I said, don’t know if my tonight was right but I just had to say something to him. “Was she allowed inside the house? Lyla povI stormed into my car and drove away when I realized no matter how long I stand there I will not be allowed to enter the house. I hated myself so much for coming in the first place, I should have listened to my instinct when I thought of not coming. I hit my car several times angrily and rested my head on the car stirring. I hate this feeling so much. “I hate Tristan.” I muttered to myself struggling not to cry because as much as I wanted to blame Tristan I also realized that somehow I am to blame for what’s going on, if I had not left the house that day, things would have been very different from what it is right now. I picked my phone to place a call across to Diego, then I remembered our last conversation, I realized that calling him will not be a good decision so it’s better I don't do it. I started the car and drove away. After a long ride I stopped at my favorite bar and walked in, my sim was to drink till I couldn't move anymore, I just needed to clear my head from
