“What the fuck?” Blakeley asked out loud and they noticed her presence, they both pulled away from each other and Malia rolled her eyes.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” Malia asked sternly and Blakeley remained frozen, she was still shocked because of the scene before her. It seemed so impossible.
“I… I brought your files.” She replied but her voice came out like a whisper, tears clouded her eyes as she stared at the look in Malia’s eyes. She felt no guilt.
“Great, get out.” She ordered and Blakeley turned to look at her ex-fiance with tears in her eyes.
“Dylan.” She muttered and he rolled his eyes.
“Ugh, I wasn't going to end up with you anyway.”
“You are fucking my best friend on the day you broke up with me!” She screamed and the tears streamed down her eyes. Malia and Dylan glanced at each other and burst into laughter.
“Oh my God, she thinks it's just happening.” Malia laughed.
“Yeah, I know right.” Dylan replied and pecked Malia’s lips. Blakeley stared at them in disbelief and shook her head.
“I have been such a fool.” She mumbled.
“Yeah, no doubt about that.” Malia shrugged and laughed, Blakeley couldn't stand in front of them again, she rushed out of the room and ran down the stairs. She picked up her jacket and ran out of the house.
She cried as she ran and the tears in her eyes made her vision blurry, she kept running till she got out of the estate.
The images of both of them having sex on the bed kept playing in her head, she stopped running and started to walk unconsciously. It was dark already so only a few cars were on the street.
She got opposite the bus station and looked at the traffic lights. She got it wrong and she stepped on the road, as she walked and thought about how messed up her life was.
She suddenly heard a loud bang and she felt herself flying in the air, she fell to the floor and she heard faint noises.
She whimpered as she felt pains all over her body, her head hurt and her vision became blurry. She tried to move her body but she couldn't. All she heard was distant noises as she slowly blacked out.
********
Blakeley groaned as she heard beeping sounds from her sleep, she tried to open her eyes but she felt a sharp pain in her head. She slowly opened it and her vision was a little bit fuzzy as she looked around.
She closed her eyes and opened it again then let out a moan.
“You are awake.” She heard a female voice and she turned to see a middle-aged woman.
“Huh?” She muttered.
“You have been unconscious for days.” She said and Blakeley raised her brows in confusion.
“Days?” She asked and tried to stand up but couldn't because of the pain she felt all over her body.
“Okay, let’s do this the easy way.” The woman said and picked up a little flashlight, she moved closer to the bed and turned it on.
She moved the flashlight around her face and Blakeley blinked as she did.
“Okay, that seems fine.” She muttered and turned it off.
“What is your name?”
“Bla… Blakeley.” She stuttered as she stared at the woman.
“Blakeley?”
“Blakeley Hunter.”
“How old are you?”
“Twenty-one years.”
“Where are you from?”
“Los Angeles.” She replied.
“What is the last thing you can recall before you get here?” She asked and Blakeley closed her eyes and opened it again as she tried to recall what happened.
Out of the blue, she recalled seeing Dylan and Malia together and everything came rushing to her.
“I… I was knocked down by a car, I had an accident.” She replied and the woman smiled.
“It's a miracle you didn't get a memory loss, you hit your head pretty bad.”
“Did… did you say I have been here for days?” She asked and the woman nodded in response. Her eyes widened in shock and realisation hit her.
Her parents would be worried about her. They had no idea where she was.
“Oh my God.” She groaned and sat up forcefully. She ignored the pain she felt as she pulled out the syringe in her hand.
She looked around the room and realised she wasn't in a hospital, it was more like a house.
“Miss, you need to get back in bed.” The woman said but Blakeley ignored her. She stood up and the woman tried holding her but she pushed her off.
In pain, she struggled to walk to the door and open it. Her head hurt and her vision was blurry.
She noticed a few men around dressed in black and she whimpered, the woman walked out and tried to move closer to her but Blakeley walked away from her. The guards tried holding her but the woman ordered them not to.
Blakeley struggled to walk down the hallway successfully, she climbed the stairs down carefully and the woman trailed behind. She got to the living room and she looked around.
“Where the fuck am I?” She muttered as she walked towards the exit, she pulled the door open and walked out.
Blakeley froze as she stared at the sea, her lips parted slightly as she looked around.
‘This is an island.” She thought and started to panic. She was about to take a step forward when she felt dizzy, she slowly fell to the floor and passed out.
********
Blakeley moaned in her sleep as she heard a conversation. She opened her eyes slightly and saw two people.
She recognised the woman from earlier and she wondered who the man was.
She slowly sat up and they both turned to her.
“Oh, she is awake.” The woman said and walked to her.
“How are you feeling dear?” She asked touching her forehead but Blakeley didn't give her a response, all she did was stare at the man dressed in a tuxedo in front of her.
“Excuse us, Cathrine.” He said and the lady bowed before walking out. He put his hands in his pants pocket and walked around the room.
“Wh… who are you? And why am I here?” She asked and he paused, he slowly turned to her and she gulped. For some reason, he looked intimidating.
“I’m Alex Xanders.”
“Why am I here?”
“You ran into my car.” He replied.
“Well, I’m sorry I did. But I should be in the hospital, why am I on an island?”
“I want to strike a deal with you.” He replied and moved closer to the bed.
“Did your car get damaged?” Blakeley asked, thinking he wanted her to pay for his damaged car.
“Yes, but that isn't what this is about.”
“I don't understand, I don't think I know you. Why will you want to strike a deal with me?” She asked but Alex didn't give her a response.
“You are not going to answer my question?” She asked again as she tried her best to avoid his eyes.
“Marry me.” He said out of the blue.
“Huh?”
“Marry me, Blakeley.”
“Huh? I don't understand.” She said, confused.“Blakeley, I want to offer you a deal.”“How did you know my name? Did that lady tell… ““Your name is Blakeley Hunter, you are twenty-one years old with no achievements, you live in the local areas of Los Angeles, and all your life you lived from hand to mouth, you have a best friend named Malia and an ex-fiance named Dylan. He broke up with you and you found them together having sex, you got heartbroken and you ran into my car.” Alex explained cutting her off and her eyes widened in shock. “Wh… what?” She asked surprised.“I know a lot more about you than you can imagine and I know you would be interested in the deal I am about to offer you.” He replied and she stared at him for a while, curious about the deal and to understand what was going on, she nodded in response urging him to continue.“Your father does one or two shops to earn a living and your mother is a preschool teacher in a local school and you don't have a job.”“Can you
“What? No.” “Well, to them you might be dead.” “No, please. I really need to talk to them.” “I will think about it.” Alex replied and she sighed.******HOURS LATER Blakeley walked out of the car with Alex and she looked around the house. She always thought Malia's family house was the biggest she had seen but this is huge. It's beautiful and it looks so classic. She glanced at the parking lot and her lips parted slightly at the number of cars there. No doubt she is getting involved with a billionaire. They both walked into the house and Blakeley smiled at how beautiful the interior looked. She admired the way the house looked clean and how the maids were dressed. They stood at each corner of the house. “Good afternoon sir and ma’am.” An old man dressed in a suit walked towards them and bowed. Alex nodded at him in response.“Good afternoon.” Blakeley replied politely. “Show her to her room.” Alex ordered the man and walked away. Blakeley watched him walk towards a door before
Blakeley sighed nervously in the car, at first she was so nervous but after the rules Alex gave her, she couldn't help but worry. She breathed out and Alex turned to her, he noticed she was tense and he placed his hand on her thigh, she looked at him and he turned away from her.He paid attention to his phone but didn't withdraw his hand from her thigh. The gown had a slit so he was touching her bare thigh. Blakeley stopped thinking about his family and diverted her thought to his hand on her thigh. He used his thumb to crease it and it made her heart flutter. Since he wasn't staring at her, Blakeley turned and looked out the window. She bit her lip to stop herself from smiling. They finally got into an estate and Alex withdrew his hand from her thigh, the car stopped in front of a White House and Blakeley became tense again.“Are your parents the president of the United States?” She found herself asking as they walked out of the car.“No.”“So why is it a White House?” She asked
“Welcome to the Xanders family Blakeley, hope you keep up.” He said and Blakeley gulped.“So Blakeley.” Mrs. Xanders called and she turned to her.“Yes ma’am?”“Why my son? What is so special about him?” She asked and Blakeley glanced at Alex, he paid attention to his food and she thought about a quick response.“Hmm, okay.” She muttered and cleared her throat.“I know it seemed like we rushed into the marriage because it has only been six months but to me, I felt like I chose the right person to spend the rest of my life with. So far, I see him as someone who acts like he doesn't care but deep down he does, he is the type of person who can help someone in need no matter the situation.” She said and everyone paid attention to her, except Alex.“So far, for the twenty-one years I have lived, except from growing up in a lovely home, he is the best thing that has happened to me.” She said and held Alex’s hand, he looked at her and she smiled at him.“Awwwn, that’s so sweet.” Cassie, Alex
She stared at the screen and watched as Malia smiled happily, she couldn't fight back her tears anymore, they streamed down her cheeks and she ran towards the stairs, she rushed up the stairs and ran into her room to cry her eyes out.******Blakeley heard a knock on her door and she slowly sat up, she picked up the tissue next to her and wiped her tears. “Who is it?” She asked.“It's Logan, ma’am.” She heard the old man respond and she sighed.“Come in.”The door opened and Logan walked in, he moved closer to her and bowed.“What is it?” Blakeley asked.“Would you like to have dinner in your… ““I am not hungry.” She cut him off.“But ma’am, you skipped lunch saying… ““I am not hungry, Logan. Shut the door on your way out.” She replied rudely and lay back on the bed, she pulled the sheets over her head and the old man sighed before walking out of her room. She felt bad for speaking to him that way but she really wasn't in a good mood. She was hurting because of what Alex said to he
Blakeley stared at the mirror as Piper styled her hair, turns out she doesn't do only makeovers. She did her nails and did a quick skincare routine for her face before doing a makeover. It's been two hours and it's dusk already, Blakeley still wondered what she was getting ready for that needed this much preparation. She was finally done with her hair and Blakeley admired her look in the mirror, she looked so beautiful. She almost didn't recognise herself. “You look beautiful ma’am.” Piper complimented and Blakeley smiled shyly.“Thank you.” She replied and kept staring at the mirror. She really did a good job, her swollen eyes due to too much crying weren't visible anymore. “Ma’am.” Piper called and Blakeley turned to her, her eyes widening as she stared at the dresses on the bed.“Please pick your choice.” She said and Blakeley slowly stood up, she moved closer to the bed and stared at the dresses in awe. They looked so beautiful and priceless. There were five dressed on the bed
“Tch.” Mrs. Xanders muttered as they stared at Blakeley lying peacefully on the bed.“She really passed out due to camera flashes. Isn't she used to it?” Mrs. Xanders asked Alex and he ignored her as he paid attention to Blakeley. After Blakeley passed out in the midst of the reporters, the guards carried her and passed through a different entrance and took her to a room. The venue of the party was a mansion, with a ballroom in it. The reporters got distracted by the arrival of another important guest, Alex’s family heard about Blakeley passing out and one of his guards led them to the room. She has been unconscious for about thirty minutes. Mr. Xanders got a doctor among the guests and he confirmed she was okay and she would wake up anytime soon. The Xanders were all present in the room waiting for her to wake up and they were all getting impatient.“Do we really have to wait here?” Dante’s wife asked and they glanced at her.“I mean the party is going on and we are missing a lot o
Throughout the drive home, Blakeley kept mute. She kept glancing at Alex and his hand, the bleeding was starting to get worse but he ignored it. She couldn't imagine the pain he would be going through in his hands and feet, she tried talking to him but he snapped at her, she couldn't blame him though. She has been such a terrible person to him tonight.Guilt was eating her up and she felt so uncomfortable. He paid attention to his phone and answered lots of calls. They finally got home and he walked out of the car without taking a look at her, she slowly walked out and sighed. She got into the house and Logan welcomed her, she smiled slightly at him and headed to her room. She got there and took off her dress, she cleaned the makeover but still left her hair styled. She changed into a comfortable dress and she sighed as she sat on her bed. She kept thinking about Alex and it made her restless. She walked out of her room and headed down the stairs, she got to the living room and me
