A Diamond Ring

“What? No.” 

“Well, to them you might be dead.” 

“No, please. I really  need to talk to them.” 

“I will think about it.” Alex replied and she sighed.

HOURS LATER 

Blakeley walked out of the car with Alex and she looked around the house. She always thought Malia's family house was the biggest she had seen but this is huge. 

It's beautiful and it looks so classic. She glanced at the parking lot and her lips parted slightly at the number of cars there.

No doubt she is getting involved with a billionaire.

They both walked into the house and Blakeley smiled at how beautiful the interior looked. She admired the way the house looked clean and how the maids were dressed. They stood at each corner of the house. 

“Good afternoon sir and ma’am.” An old man dressed in a suit walked towards them and bowed. Alex nodded at him in response.

“Good afternoon.” Blakeley replied politely. 

“Show her to her room.” Alex ordered the man and walked away. Blakeley watched him walk towards a door before turning to the man.

“Please come with me, ma’am.” The man said and walked ahead of her, she trailed behind him as he walked towards the stairs. 

He led her to a room and as they walked in, Blakeley’s lips parted in shock.

“What the fuck?” She muttered with a smile as she stared at the king-sized bed.

“Is this my room?” She asked the man.

“Yes ma’am.” 

“Wow.” She giggled and walked to the large closet, she opened it and walked in. She gasped as she saw new dresses. 

“I will leave you to get comfortable ma’am.” He said and walked out. Blakeley smiled as she checked the dresses.

‘Did he plan this already?’ She thought. 

After spending a while in the closet, she was finally satisfied and she decided to take a shower. She spent a long time in the bathroom and when she was done, she walked into the closet and put on a free gown. 

She walked out of the closet and flinched when she saw Alex sitting on her bed. He gave her a questioning look and she adjusted to her dress shyly, her hair wasn't completely dried but she still looked pretty.

“Come here.” He ordered and she walked to him, she sat next to him on the bed and she noticed he was holding a small box.

She avoided his eyes and played with her fingers, she felt so nervous sitting close to him.

He slowly opened the box and brought out a diamond ring. 

“Stretch out your hand.” He ordered her and she did, he held her hand and slid the ring into her finger. She stared at it and smiled. 

“Why are you smiling?” Alex asked.

“It's beautiful.” She replied, still staring at it.

She felt a little awkward though, recalling how she was putting on the one Dylan gave her a few days ago.

‘It is better than Dylan’s.’ She thought and looked up at Alex. 

“Here.” He said and stretched a phone to her, she took it from him. 

“That will be yours. You can only contact your parents once every two weeks.” He said and she nodded in response.

“Thank you.” She muttered. 

“The maids will bring your dinner to you, get some rest, it's been a long day.” 

“Thanks.” She replied and without saying any other word, he stood up and walked out of her room. 

Blakeley smiled happily as she turned on the phone, she hurriedly punched in her mother’s number and waited for her to pick up.

“Hello.” Her low voice sounded and Blakeley smiled.

“Mum.” She called and she got silence as a response.

“Mum?” She called again.

“Blakeley!” Her mother screamed and she giggled happily.

THE NEXT DAY 

Blakeley got ready for the day as she got dressed in a comfortable outfit, she walked out of her room and walked down the stairs. 

As she looked around the house, she wondered if this would be all she would do till Alex was done with what he wanted. 

“Good morning ma’am.” A voice said, snapping her out of her thoughts. She turned to see the old man who showed her to her room last night.

“Morning.” Blakeley replied.

“Please come with me, breakfast is ready.” He said and Blakeley trailed behind him as he walked ahead of her.

They got to the dining room and Blakeley was surprised at the number of meals on the table.

“Is this just for breakfast?” She asked as she took a seat and the man replied with a nod and a smile.

“You are a butler right?” She asked.

“Yes, ma’am.”

“What is your name?” 

“Logan.” The man replied and Blakeley smiled.

“That is such a nice name.” 

“Thank you, ma’am. Please, enjoy your breakfast. These maids are at your service.” He said, referring to the maids standing at the end of the table. 

“What about Alex?” 

“Oh, he left for work early this morning ma’am.” He replied and she nodded in response.

HOURS LATER 

The door to the living room opened and Alex walked in, he saw Blakeley lying on the couch and watching television, she didn't seem to notice him. 

He watched her for a few minutes before finally walking to her. 

“Blakeley.” He called and she turned to him.

“Oh, hey.” She called with a smile and sat up, she realised he was holding a bag and she wondered what was in it.

“Here, get ready in an hour.” He said dropping the bag on the couch and he walked away.

Blakeley opened the bag and found a black beautiful gown in it, she wondered why he got her a dress despite having a lot of clothes. 

She stood up with the bag and headed to her room to get ready.

AN HOUR LATER

Blakeley waited patiently for Alex in the living room, she was ready a few minutes ago. After what seemed like forever to Blakeley, Alex walked down the stairs dressed in a tuxedo. He looked charming and she couldn't help but admire his looks.

He got to her and he stared at her for a few seconds.

“Let your hair down.” He ordered and she loosened the ponytail, she let the hair down and Alex felt satisfied.

“You should know a few things before we leave.” 

“Okay?”

“Every question you are asked, you must answer them perfectly, don't talk too much and try to keep up.” He said and Blakeley chuckled.

“Why? I’m I meeting a judge or something?” She teased and Alex gave her a stern look.

“No, you are just meeting my family.”
