Chapter 53 Heavy Load

"I don't understand how this could happen again. Only one victim in the Wincher area, but a victim nonetheless."

Mayor Monroe pointed at two bodies covered in white sheets on the ground. There were red spots that formed red islands on the white cloth that covered the bodies.

The heavy rain made red streams of water on the wet ground, the source of which was the lifeless bodies.

Everyone was soaked. Three policemen, Mayor Monroe and his secretary--a woman wearing glasses, Elmer and three of his men, and Morgan, who had just arrived at the border area.
