Chapter 37 Same Business

"So you're the older sister Mayor Monroe was talking to me about," Morgan said in amazement.

Two hours ago, while dictating a draft of a letter to Sarena over the telephone, he heard something crack, ring very loudly on Sarena's side of the telephone line, then he heard Sarena's voice screaming in a panicked tone.

Morgan became confused and waited anxiously, as Sarena hung up on the phone and he could only hear the din in the background.

Then, Sarena spoke again nervously, telling him that her mother was injured. Not waiting long, Morgan immediately grabbed the car keys and went to the house of Thalia, Sarena's mother.

He saw two Betas standing guard outside Thalia's house, and they gave him a faint nod, before he entered and saw Sarena cleaning up the shards of a fallen cup.

Thalia's feet have been treated and plastered. Luckily there were no shards of glass stuck to her feet, only two small scratches.
