Chapter 24 Not The Same

"Where am I?"

Sarena suddenly woke up with a start. She sat on the bed with a blanket covering half her body from stomach to feet, and was confused.

Aby touched Sarena's arm gently, conveying a feeling of calm. Sarena turned to her with eyes filled with question marks.

"Aby? Why am I here? Wasn't I in-- AAHHH!" Sarena screamed in pain before finishing her question, while holding her right neck.

Sarena's hand was blocked by a layer of bandage covering the wound on her neck. The stinging pain made Sarena's eyes water.

Sarena remembered her dream. She was in a high, dark, and scary place. She was alone and only the sound of a distant wolf howl reached her ears.

When Sarena tried to move, suddenly a bright light blinded her eyes. Sarena was shocked when she saw that the source of the light was a large wolf standing menacingly in front of her, growling while showing its sharp teeth.

Just when Sarena screamed in fear, the wolf jumped at her and bit her neck.

"Aby, I'm not dreaming,"
