Chapter 31 Ho-honey

When Serena wakes up, she realizes that she's not in a hospital, but in the Eaglecrest Estate, Grandpa's residence, where the doctor says she just choked on the water, nothing serious, and her leg has been re-bandaged.

Richard sits in shock in the living room with Robert and Greedella kneeling on the floor as they all wait for her to wake up.

Serena coughed, when she heard what the servants had told her, a slight red coloring in her eyes.

"Is the wound on your back okay?"

As she watched the doctor change Matthew's medication, she realized that his back was so badly injured.

His back was also soaked when he carried her up in the pool.

"Hmm."

Matthew closed his eyes weakly, his forehead furrowed imperceptibly a few times.

The doctor applied the medicine and gave a few more instructions before leaving.

He put his jacket back on, moving a little slowly.

"This is bracelet in the pool, it's fake."

His voice didn't waver as he placed the bracelet in front of Serena.
