Having confirmed that her plan had succeeded, Sophia did not doubt Ninth Brother when he called to ask for money. She just transferred the remaining amount to him straight away.

Only now did she realize that it was too early to pay him. She should have paid him after she received what she had requested from him earlier.

Once she had parked her car at the empty space outside Hoover Alley, she walked into the alley. She would be able to find out what had happened once she saw Ninth Brother.
