Chapter 469

Christina saw Michael standing by the door by the time she returned from grocery shopping. There were several bags filled with food and toys left on the floor. She knew what happened without having to ask.

“Travis is not taking this well at the moment. You should visit another time.”

“Christina, I want to talk to you. Properly,” Michael pleaded.

“About what?” she asked.

“About Travis. About us.”

“You saw it yourself that he’s reluctant to see you. As for us, there’s nothing left to talk about.” Her words were laced with indifference.

“Christina, you mentioned you don’t want my apologies anymore and neither do I. What I want to say is we should get back together and get married right away for the sake of our children.”

“Have you lost your mind?”

“No, I’ve thought it through. Travis is rejecting me now because he thinks I abandoned the two of you. I want to change his impression of me.”

“You want to get back together with me to change his impression of you?” she scoffed
