If those flames had hit Jaida head on, she could have been killed. He didn't want to even think about that possibility. He wouldn't let Lucius get a chance like that again. He was going to have to step this up a notch.
"I love fire, don't you?" began Lucius as two tendrils of fire began circling his arms. He knew exactly what he wanted to do with them. He quickly sent one towards Arius, even though he knew it wouldn't work. He then sent the next towards Jaida. As Arius' barrier dissolved the fire he had been sent, he quickly noticed the course of the other.
