Maya stared at him in shock. "You'd kill him after he has proved he can be relied upon by giving you the information you so desperately needed?"

"Well, there is no need to put words in my mouth," Titan said. "I didn't mention anything about a kill,"

"But you insinuated it,"

"You want to believe I insinuated it," Titan corrected. "Now go get some rest, because I need to continue with my work,"

Maya stood up and walked towards the door, then as though a thought occurred to her, she stopped abruptly, clutching the door handle. "You know what Titan, you need to stop living such a miserable existence and projecting your unhappiness on others. People already have their own struggles so don't add to it. It's no one's fault if you choose to immerse yourself in a world of gloom forever just because you aren't ready to face the things going on around you."

Titan stared at her blankly, unsure of how to respond until she walked out.
