Anna’s POV

“Yes, it is something I have confirmed…” Charlotte replied innocently. She didn’t realise the implication of what she had just said.

“Stop saying rubbish!” Smith shouted at Charlotte. I would count this as suspicious as well. I could see Charlotte thinking hard.

“A straight man and a gay man have the same physical features. The best way to find a man who is straight is to see his performance in bed. How did you confirm that Smith is not gay?” I asked her carefully. I didn’t know why I was taking up the role of an investigative officer here.

“I never confirmed…” Charlotte replied. “I swear it was a slip of the tongue. I have seen my boss's erection once in a while too but that is all. Also, I don’t mean his bare erection. I meant the bulge in his trousers.”

“Oh!” I exclaimed.

“Exactly,” she replied. “I am not capable of doing things like that. Since you know the boss's relationship with Elena, I am free.”
