I opened my mouth to protest. My mouth clamped shut when Bryson agreed. Damnit.

I thought they were enemies.

I glared at Bryson because if this isn’t betrayal, I don’t know what else to call it. Then it has it in him to wink at me and I snarled, if he thinks I was going to forgive him that easily, he’s probably joking.

“I thought you prefer Eva’s food to mine, Hybrid?” I wiggled my brow at him from across the table because why not?

I was really heartbroken that day. I can’t begin to think about how happy Eva must have been that day. The food I spent hours to prepare went to a waste just like that.

I won’t lie, I was pissed. Then again like he had said, he bought it with his money. Not mine. I don’t even have a single penny.
