“How can I be pregnant?”

I scoffed as I looked up at her from my seated position, the mere sound of ridiculous idea smearing my face with discomfort.

“Don’t you look pregnant?” She asked and now that made me hope she suggested nothing at all. It's clear and evident she wouldn't be saying something like this if she was aware of what's coming out of her mouth.

“No, I don't.” I muttered vehemently this time, shifting a little away from her. I didn't even realize I have long disentangled our hands. That sounded like some prank, how can I be pregnant all of a sudden? Where are the symptoms?

“You don't want to be out of prison then.” When she replied, my hopes were completely shattered. Anger was visible on her face when I looked back at her, realizing she's totally right.

That's a not so bad idea.

“I'm pregnant then.” I stated firmly with a smirk and she looked like she was enjoying this moment meanwhile I was dying inside.
