KATHERINE I had like to silently scream when I opened my closet and the Hybrid King's jacket was nowhere to be found. I wanted to bawl and yank at my hair but not before him. I have to compose myself, in any way I can. “Where is it?” His body was almost literally pressed on my back as he growled. I swiftly turned around and gulped. “I can remember putting the jacket inside my closet that night but now I can't find it. I must have misplaced it.” I was speaking but my voice was barely audible. He moved closer, his eyes like a laser, shooting through my forehead. If a glare could kill, I would have been dead by now. “Who did you tell before touching my property? Answer me, point out who you told before you fucking touched what belonged to me!” He sneered before my face leaving me to silently observe. “I didn't ask you because you fell asleep instantly and I couldn't go back to my room naked or in a tore lingerie.” With him barely laughing at my words, my mind couldn't be at ease.
KATHERINE“And why should the guards go around the house rattling each and every one's wardrobes?” Beta Edward repeated, staring jaw stuck at me as if I just said the most impossible thing in the world. He was the best person to come to for help. With it his aid, I knew the jacket will be found and I just have to get him to agree first. “It's owned by the Hybrid King. I really have to hand it over to him in the next four hours.” There was no use hiding. I can see him holding back from scoffing, he creased his forehead slightly before he muffled something under his breath. “You never cease to make trouble.” I pretended I heared nothing and just followed behind him. Each rooms was slowly turned upside down, yet my eyes failed to pick up the sight of Derek's black leather jacket. Time ticked by, and even until the whole house was searched, nothing was found. “Leave her room out. Eva can never steal.” I dismissed them, breathing out as I wiped at my head, on my way back to my room.
KATHERINEMy hands fisted around the gate of the dungeon, my knuckles turning pale white. Adrenaline fueled my blood pressure, my muscles tensed with every amount of pressure I used at slamming my fists against the walls. I refuse to believe I was in here, placed under control for a crime I didn't commit. When I heard his footsteps and saw me stop before me alongside his guards, my dream came through. “If you think I stole your jacket then let this suffering continue. But you should know you can't just go out of your way accusing me when you were the one who torn my lingerie rendering me helpless. I had to then take your darn jacket—” I spat out in fury and my head slashed to the side as a thunderous slap hit my cheek. I looked his way and he leaned his head back, enjoying the show. I nodded putting on a grin and unlike his expectations, I continued, my anger fueled.“...As a replica of my clothes but now I realized I made a big mistake and if only I knew I should have resolved in
KATHERINE“How can I be pregnant?” I scoffed as I looked up at her from my seated position, the mere sound of ridiculous idea smearing my face with discomfort. “Don’t you look pregnant?” She asked and now that made me hope she suggested nothing at all. It's clear and evident she wouldn't be saying something like this if she was aware of what's coming out of her mouth. “No, I don't.” I muttered vehemently this time, shifting a little away from her. I didn't even realize I have long disentangled our hands. That sounded like some prank, how can I be pregnant all of a sudden? Where are the symptoms? “You don't want to be out of prison then.” When she replied, my hopes were completely shattered. Anger was visible on her face when I looked back at her, realizing she's totally right. That's a not so bad idea. “I'm pregnant then.” I stated firmly with a smirk and she looked like she was enjoying this moment meanwhile I was dying inside. This is a lie that will cost us a lot. I was read
KATHERINE 'A charge of raising her hand on the Hybrid King.' I burned with guilt and panic as Eva was being taken into the same cell I was just brought out of. Leaving me with Derek, the king. I couldn't look me in the eye. I'm curious as to why he has intentionally got between us just to take the hit. Luckily Eva stopped herself just in time, otherwise I don't want to think of how her head would have been rolling on the ground by now. “Are you going to form up another lie again and join your loyal servant in the cell?” As the words left his mouth, my heart thumped faster than it should. I have always failed to handle myself around him every time. “No. I'm sorry.” I halted slowly and casted my head down, tears almost streaming out of my eyes as I wondered what life I was living. The house felt even more lifeless after Eva's imprisonment. I would barely touch my food, pushing it around my plate as my mind wandered, wondering when she would be released. The days dragged on in a
23KATHERINEI didn't expect her to be out of the cell any time soon.Of course I feel reassured since I can finally get rid of the guilty feeling in me. At the same time I feel disappointed but what she had done. I stepped back away from her even as she came closer. Does she know she has been caught by me? Probably not. “I'm glad to you're out of the cell.” I replied bitterly. On some other day I would have stayed longer with her but it was torture staying two minutes with her now.She nodded and I was supposed when she grinned and walked past me, to place a knock on Derek's door. I continued walking, not stopping until I have reached my room. If I had told the hybrid King Eva has something to do with the lost jacket, I'm sure that would have increased her term in cell and she wouldn't have been here to grin at me. I know what she's doing. She can try to act like what happened between us never existed and I am ready ready to play that game with her too. I just feel disappointed i
KATHERINE My heart pounded immediately as he approached, the clock striking seven and my eyes going wide out of their sockets. I waited anxiously for him to reach me, my heart plummeting back into its ribcage as I glanced at the wall clock. How could I have missed the time? For goodness sake, it's so ridiculous how I feel the time was a bloody cheater and could have waited for me. Till I was done thinking? I groaned reluctantly as his warm hand caught me by the neck and spun me around. I ended up locked between his arms, my back against the wall. I can't even remember the time I stood up. What was going on with me? It's so terrifying how he's making me loose my senses. “Another excuse again? The wall clock wasn't there this time? Or you're so done with the routine you want to die and give up?” He pulled away to take in my face in the small lightness of the dark night, and I moaned, my head titling to the other side as I felt his hand slip under my dress. “Answer me!” He growled
KATHERINEShock. Was what I felt at first. Followed by confusion. Lyra wasn't lying. I was summoned by the council of Alphas and it was a miracle how I could stand before them without wobbling. I wasn't told why because Lyra herself doesn't know. I was given a seat in their circle, and when I met the Hybrid King's eye, I quickly looked away. I'm sure he knows why I am here. “That is my breeder. If you have any questions in which you had like to ask, she's here to answer each and every thing. I am going to have an heir soon and at this stage, whether or not you all choose to be patient is none of my business.” I heard Derek's roar right behind me where he is seated. None of them retorted. More like I've grown known it the Hybrid's rudeness and it wasn't a new thing to them anymore. Poor them. “What is your name?” One of them sighed as he stroke his white hair. I don't know about Alphas but this particular man seem to have been ruling his pack for a long time now. Now that I took t
