Audrey’s POV

I clicked my tongue against the roof of my mouth, and like the unstable apex predator I assumed him to be, it got his attention.

“Okay…deal”

His face warped into a sinister grin that made my skin crawl. It didn’t matter if he was the big bad beast, this was something different. I felt heavy and turgid under his scrutiny.

Where do I start from?

My skin already tingled from how much focus he had on my body. Everything felt like the wrong move when I thought about it for more than three seconds. But there was a particular desperation to know, I needed to know the things that made up the bridge I was going to be crossing in the next few months.
