Adonis entered his cabin room. “Wow! I’m impressed. I see my boy Beenie has taste. He’s not completely wretched. I must be rubbing off on him.”
He opened the balcony door to his cabin suite and sat in the first chair he could find. Adonis sat there looking at the beautiful scene of the blue ocean, still blown away by the female beauty, which made him feel strange. "Or could this be motion sickness? I've never experienced motion sickness before. That's probably why the inside of my chest is feeling all crazy. It couldn't possibly be a girl making me feel this way." The more he thought about it, his heart pounded, beating unusually fast. Adonis went to stand up and grabbed his knees. They felt like they were going to buckle for a second. He headed back inside the cabin, thinking.
“I’m a grown man, not some teenage boy. So what's happening to me? Ooh, I even felt flustered. I've never let anything or anyone in my adult life affect me that way.” It was all very unfamiliar emotional territory for Adonis Weston.
"Wow!" He grabbed hold of his chest, leaning on the dresser, resting just a bit, thinking.
"She’s good-looking, but so are half the girls on this ship. But even with most of them scantily clad, none of them pulled his attention like the beauty in the elevator. She wasn’t too tall, not too short. She moved with effortless grace, hips swinging from side to side, making his loins heavy and his mouth water. He had seen beautiful black women before, but admittedly, not too many ran within his ranks and circle of colleagues and friends. But he’s come across a few at a distance and has seen them in music videos. The fact that he’s having these sudden, crazy urges is leaving him baffled and unsettled. How can this beautiful girl who looks this hot with all her clothes on have him tripping? Adonis had no idea that he was attracted to chocolate.
"But wait a minute! Maybe I have been all alone! "I like my coffee black with only sugar. I love German chocolate cake, and Oreo cookies are my favorite! This is crazy! Where are the drinks in this place?" He got up and started searching for some alcohol.
“Maybe I need a shot of Jose.”
What is wrong with me? I always see beautiful women, and I never react this way. I got to get a grip. The cruise ship hasn't even left the dock yet, and here it is. I'm having this weird reaction."
Adonis looked at his hands and chuckled. ‘Now I’m being more than ridiculous. Someone tell me, Why are my hands trembling?' He recalled how his body ignited, and that spark traveled down his spine when their hands touched in the elevator. Adonis took a swig of the drink he poured from the credenza and held his head in his hand.
“I can’t be alone in all this. I know she must have felt it, too; she had too.” Adonis shook his head in disbelief at this new awakening of emotions.
"Seriously! What's going on here? He kept asking himself, standing suddenly pacing back and forth.
A host of questions flooded his mind. "How do I get over this? Do I just talk to her and get her out of my system? But how do I approach this girl? The taxi was a good first start, but that was easy, and it got me nowhere. What should I say to her?"
Adonis walked back and forth, thinking. 'What am I doing? She's a female. So I'll tell her what I would say to any other woman, right? '
He stated confidently, but then he recalled he rarely held conversations with females; he usually let his manager deal with them. "Why didn’t I bring Roy with me on this cruise? I can text him and get some advice!” He sighed. when he realized his phone was of no use until they made it to land. I’m on my own, but I don’t want my introduction to be average or weak; it has to be cool. I—have swag.
"I've just been so focused on work and making money until I guess I'm a little rusty in this arena. Besides, in the past, when he did date around, he learned and observed that girls were only looking to see what they could get out of him. Many had already researched who he was, and when they found out he was wealthy, nothing else mattered. I could have been bald with a pop belly, but if I had money, they were willing to do whatever. I've seen it with my own eyes. It was amazing at first, but then it became a turn-off. Some of my male acquaintances have beautiful young women in their arms and showpieces, and the girls know that's all they are. But I was determined not to be that way. But are all women like that? I don't know, but it stands to reason they wouldn't all be that way."
Many times in his travels to other places, he's dated Canadian caucasian females in the business arena. He’s gone out on several dates with these beautiful ladies from Venzawella as well. But usually, he’s there in those countries on business, and his interaction with whomever he’s seeing is for a short while. But this is very different. This is not a business trip. Adonis knows he's here for relaxation at sea for seven days and on land for four days. Adonis has never interacted with her nationality before; honestly, he doesn’t know what to do.
"How should I handle this?" He stops pacing. "Oh my goodness! I don't want to blow it!" he says, sighing. These questions made him nervous because he felt it was ridiculous that an accomplished man like himself always successfully handled huge business transactions. Adonis should know what to do, and he's bombing out right now, feeling latent.
On the contrary, in his early twenties, he had a pretty impressive dating track record. So what's the big deal? What's the problem? He asked himself. She was different, and he'd never dealt with a young woman of this nationality.
Though his handsome face and charming smile have been in many business magazines, he's internationally known in the Fortune 500 and above world. Adonis is charismatic, a smooth talker, and, at times, could be ruthless in business. But when it comes to being social, he's very chilled. When he's not at board meetings, Adonis is a little shy, and it takes a minute for him to warm up to people, especially females. But because he’s so good-looking, he usually doesn't have to do much. Females approach him. But he doesn’t know if this young lady will do that or even look at him again.
He fell back on the bed. "Why! Why! Am I exhausting myself this way? I don't even know if she's available. Maybe she’s meeting someone else here on this cruise—maybe a boyfriend, fiance, or husband." She does not think about me if that's the case, and besides, she doesn't look like the type to approach a man.
On the contrary, from what he sees, men are approaching her. So he's not relying on her to introduce herself to him. Instead, Adonis knew he had to muster up his manly courage. First, he will observe her to see her marital status, and if she's single, he'll think of a way to meet this young lady.
'Is it a sin, for once in my life, to go with my feelings? No! When do I ever get to do what I really want to do? Never. I have to find a way to approach her if I want to examine further what these strange feelings are all about and why she is the one causing them to occur." He told himself.
Adonis tried to calm down a little and focus on unpacking his clothes. “Wait a minute! Is this love at first sight? Nah, I don’t believe in that stuff.”
He said, putting everything away. Granted, he didn't expect to be attracted this soon to someone. Who has stirred his heart and piqued his interest by sight. They barely exchanged any words with one another.
"There truly are beautiful girls all over the world." He thought, chuckling.
Adonis sat down on the bed for a minute. He couldn't get this one off his mind.

About an hour later, his stomach began to growl terribly. He contemplated ordering room service since he didn't have a good pick-up line. He wasn't a weak man and couldn't have any girl look at him that way, so he talked himself out of hiding in his cabin. Adonis convinced himself he'd dealt with stronger foes in the business world than this situation. He had to think about this on business terms to get some balls about himself and face his challenger."I love a challenge," he said, picking up his blazer and heading to the ship's promenade deck. It’ll probably be challenging and even more interesting if I conquer it and stand to profit from it."On his way down the elevator, he thought about something Beenie had said: he was supposed to meet a young lady on this cruise. "Oh my God! Could it be her? This isn't right! Nah, she's not the girl Beenie was supposed to meet. But that would explain why she's on this cruise alone: Beenie canceled. What the...!"Adonis thought long and hard ab
Adonis stood back, observing the whole scene. He could see the girl. That sleazy, greasy-looking guitar player caught her off guard. Safifa looked around at other couples and people; they were busy trying to take pictures with the other band members. Safira didn't think she was being watched, but someone had their eyes on her the whole time. Maybe she was crazy or tipsy, but she felt like someone was watching her. But it didn't appear that someone was scoping her out other than the guitar player, and he was on stage. The guitar player moved alone, talking to someone else. When he was finished, he picked up his guitar, and they announced it was their last song for the night. He nodded in her direction with a smile as he sang another song, a beautiful ballad about a love worth waiting for. Although she enjoyed the lyrics, she knew only a few were fortunate enough to find that love. As soon as the last note faded away, the guitar player asked. "Did everyone enjoy the show?"Thunderou
"No, I haven’t.”“What if we do more than have coffee? In forty-five minutes, I’ll meet you on the promenade deck over by the coffee and beverage area. Is that okay?" Adonis asked. "That sounds great," Safira agreed, fully smiling as he noticed those straight white teeth against her milk chocolate skin. How lovely, he thought."Okay, I'll see you shortly," Adonis said as he jogged away, waving bye, feeling all kinds of pheromones released in his soul like he did a million-dollar deal! “Yes, that's what you call raking in the dividends! For all your hard work! Cha-Ching! And that's how you make a profit!”~~~~~After his shower, Adonis enters the bathroom with a towel around his narrow waist. He begins trying on outfits that his stylist Claire had arranged for him to wear on this cruise. But he often changes his outfits, trying to decide which looks best he wants to impress her. Adonis hasn't been on the dating scene in years! He couldn't believe he was going on an actual date! He had
Adonis waited silently for her response but thanked God there was no ring on her finger.Clearing her throat with a slight smile, she sat her glass of juice down on the table, purposely making him sweat. “Now, real ladies don't speak of such things."Wrinkling his forehead, a surprised grin appeared on Adonis's delectable lips as he slid his hand on top of hers, tenderly touching her briefly. "Forgive me, I'm sorry; please forgive me." Adonis immediately felt embarrassed for leading with that question.Safira reluctantly slid her hand away from his warm, caressing one because it was way too comfortable intermingling with hers…she hoped he didn’t hear the fast offbeat of her heart throbbing hard against her chest. “For you to ask me that, it’s one or two things. You mistakenly have been with someone not of legal age, or I look some dang old to you.” “No, that’s not it. You don’t look old; I have had a few girls lie to me about their age. I'm not all that interested in sitting in pris
In the back of Adonis's mind, he felt that, at the end of this cruise, he would never see Safira again. The thought of that bothered him because, for the first time, he found a female that he thought was interesting, intelligent, and, of course, beautiful. He could stare at Safira for hours and not say a word. His instinct was to invite her on a weekend getaway after this cruise, but then he remembered he couldn't. For one, when he returns to the office, he has to finalize that Tokyo deal. And two being with her for only one or two weekends suffice or satisfy his desires. He knows he's going to want more time with her. That's how much he was enjoying this girl's company."Right, now I hate that I'm enjoying and dreading each day that passes by on this cruise." Over the next few days, it felt like they were in their own worlds, far away from reality. Adonis left behind all his worries about Tokyo, money, and his family. None of that mattered what others thought for the next several d
Safira also felt that special feeling surfacing around inside her mind and body, causing her to have dreams of him whispering, I love you, l love you, over again while he made exquisite love to her. They both waited for the right time for their dreams to become a reality. Right now, they both appear to be content with enjoying getting to know one another better. Adonis told her all about how he grew up and that he was the only boy with two older sisters."That explains why it's so easy to talk to you. You know how to make a female feel very comfortable," Safira says."Thank you. I guess it pays to have sisters," Adonis says, chuckling."It most certainly does." She said, winking at him and giving him a thumbs up. "You are a great listener and conversationalist."Safira told him about her interesting life, how and why her grandmother raised her, what her job entails, and how she got her start. Adonis laughed hysterically at her story about the 'Big Chop ' and how she cut all her hair
The following day, they greeted each other with gentle, sweet hugs, as they did every morning, giving one another the brightest smiles. But today was a little different because of what they did last night. After lunch, Safira suggested as they walked to her cabin."Adonis, I'm going to call it quits early today. I want to look my best tonight for the captain's dinner and dance. Especially since you asked me to go as your date tonight. I need my beauty sleep." She snickered.Yes, Adonis finally got up the nerve to officially ask her out last night and kissed her to solidify their relationship. Once he discovered neither of them had a significant other in their lives, that was his green light to go all the way."Okay, darling, get some rest, and I'll see you in a few hours," Adonis says, holding her soft hands in his. They stand before her cabin door, longingly gazing into one another's eyes. Adonis wishes she would invite him inside her cabin.Safira opened the door but leaned against
Adonis gave her his attention as his beautiful green eyes canvases over her smooth, coffee-colored skin enhanced by the dim lighting. “No. You're the first lady I felt compelled to say something like that to,” Adonis says as his gaze burns into her soul while a muscle barely tensed in his lean jaw. “Why is that? Maybe you've been captured by this romantic setting of being here on a cruise, making you utter such things.” She said, peering at him sensually.“The setting, as nice as it is, has nothing to do with my feelings. Everything about you is what I desire in a lady. I feel comfortable with you in every way. Talking, walking together, having a meal, and even dancing as we are. We fit like a hand in a glove. You must have noticed it from the first time we met.”Tilting her chin, Safira flashed a smile. “Yes, I noticed the instant connection. You're a first for me, too, in many ways.” Safira couldn't take her eyes off his lips, which formed this salacious smile with those perfect wh
