Chapter 21

Whenever she opened her eyes, the room spun fast like a merry-go-round. Safira grabbed hold of her head as she stumbled her way out of the bedroom door. She was searching for the kitchen and somehow made it there. The bright light from the refrigerator made her frown. “Turn it off!” she mumbled, closing the fridge door. She managed to pour herself some water, drinking it down fast. “It’s gone already?” She said, turning the empty cup up to her mouth once more.

Safira kept her eyes slightly cracked as she walked along the wall, making it to the hallway without breaking or bumping into anything. She was still very intoxicated from several strong drinks she had consumed at the restaurant. Her head spun like a top, but she was in merry spirits as she hummed and smiled at the random thoughts that popped up, leaving her mentally disoriented.

"Why is it snowing?" Safira giggled, pausing in the hallway, holding her hand and grasping for the imaginary snowflakes she thought were falling.
