Chapter 22

Emma's phone rang, breaking the silence of the morning.

"Who is this so early this morning?" Emma mumbled, grumbling as she picked her phone to answer the call.

"Hello, who is..."

Emma did not complete her sentence when she heard Harper's voice.

She looked at the number to see if there was a caller ID but there was none.

"I didn't save her number."

Thankfully, Harper spared her and did not pursue why she did not save her number.

"Good morning, dear. Did you sleep well?"

"Good morning, Harper. It's still so early. Is anything the problem?"

"Not really. I should have called yesterday after you got home but I could not. Sorry about that."

"It's fine. Thank you for treating me well yesterday."

"Okay so I called to ask you for something. Please do it for me as a favour. I will feel so bad if you turn me down."

"Okay? So what do you want me to do?"

"Just say you would do it first."

"How can I say I would do it when I don't even know what you want to ask?"

"Please just say yes."
