Sebastian POV

My gaze caught her going through the letter...

I approached her, snatching the letter from her grip.

I could sense she was stunned.

She seemed the curious type, but this was a close call; I wouldn't want her to find out about my underground dealings.

The packages were arriving today, and Nikolai Petrov had informed me.

I had to be present to ensure safe transport.

Those men may prove greedy and cheat, but surely, they won't take the risk of messing with me.

I sat on the chair, my gaze fixed on her.

"So, have you signed the contract?" I asked.

Her stammering was enough to show she hadn't yet.

"I haven't signed it. I—I need a pen."

All the lies over a pen. I know she wanted more, but for her safety, it would be better if she doesn't dig any deeper.

It would be better for her to stick to what she was here for.

I brought out a pen from my trousers, handing it over to her.

"Here's a pen. Sign the contracts..."

I said as she grabbed onto the pen.

I could see her eyes scanning through the contract. Even if she read it a million times, she surely wouldn't know what she was getting herself into.

I can't wait to have her all to myself, in my arms, under my rules.

My own puppet...

Her hands lingered in signing the documents.

Sure, she was having second thoughts, but yeah, I know money rules in the end.

If she doesn't sign the papers, she could say goodbye to her dreams.

And a look at her shows her desire to get her dream job. She wanted a taste of power.

And that would be little to offer...

With all the women I had under my power, I should be OK, but she was surely one of a kind.

Those eyes and glowing skin just seemed to intrigue me for more.

I needed her also in my collection. Surely, she would do perfectly to satisfy me...

"I have signed them..." she uttered.

Her words snapped me from my thoughts.

"Nice..."

I could see her eyes craving answers, but she was blinded by it all.

A reminder of last night, her blubbering and all, proves she was heartbroken.

Maybe she seeks revenge, but how do I care?

The guy must surely be rewarded. Thanks to him, I got her entangled in my plan. Now there is no escaping here...

"So, what's next...?" she asked.

I gave a sly grin, collecting the contract from her grasp.

"Now that you have signed the contract, it's official. You shall fulfil your end of the bargain while i obey mine. For the world shall see us as a married couple, but only you and I shall know this was nothing more than a mutual agreement. Nothing less, nothing more. Now you move in."

I uttered, but my words seemed to leave her stunned.

What else did she expect? The contract was signed.

I wanted her in my arms, under my mansion, immediately.

"Can I have a week...?" she uttered.

Sure, a week wouldn't be that long to wait. Even though I craved to have her pinned, why rush when I can enjoy this every bit by bit?

"Alright... one week, and then you move in." I said, making my tone clear.

I sensed the unwavering thoughts on her face. But it was too late. She is mine, and nothing can change that.

She gently stood up as she walked past my office.

With her stepping out, I made a call to my driver to take her home... She surely shouldn't be walking past the roadside in this hot sun.

Wouldn't want my product ruined.

With a sigh, I relaxed my back in the chair, my gaze at the contract as I grinned slyly.

I placed the contract on my desk, my gaze returning to my laptop as I checked through some things.

The evening hour met me seated at my desk.

Damn, the package was soon to arrive an hour from now. I surely wouldn't want to waste much time. Those men... Just hope the package is safely delivered. Sure, they wouldn't want to play a dangerous game.

I grabbed onto my coat, glinting it as I walked out of my office, leaving the company, holding my guards and driver back.

I entered my blue luxurious car, driving off through the half-lit road.

I trusted no one.

I learned the hard way; trusting in this business would be a death wish.

Money rules the mind, greed changes people.

I drove on.

My ear could perceive the shipments arriving with the loud horn it gave.

I parked my car at the roadside as I stepped out.

The package had arrived.

And just as I had expected, Nikolai Petrov was already there waiting.

But surely, something felt off.

I walked towards him, my mind thinking fast against being double-crossed.

Nikolai Petrov is a great mafia lord, wanted by several countries.

But no one knows what his face looks like.

Many who had seen him never lived to tell the tale.

A dangerous beast that attracted my likeness.

So I offered him a deal.

I needed help supplying packages—drugs, dangerous drugs.

Leaving a great intoxication and infect.

One of the high-selling illegal drugs, "Euphoria."

Transporting was quite a tough deal, but with him, I sensed it would be easy.

And it had been.

For many years, we ordered and supplied.

Blood had been spilt. Many were left in awe of how I took my dad's business to great levels in just a blink of time.

They know not of how many lives and blood I have quenched and terminated to raise such great heights.

I wanted more. After more, I needed more...

More power than I could ever attain.

In return for Nikolai Petrov's assistance, I offered him a 10% share from my package and a 40% share to my "Velvet Cavern," a club set to please the desires of men. But what truly runs down there, I know.

Nikolai Petrov and a few others are the ones who knew I truly owned "Velvet Cavern."

The ship's loud horn snapped me from my mind as I slowly approached Nikolai...

Even with years with him, I surely wasn't foolish enough to let my guard down.

"You're here, Mr. Hawthorne." He said, his gaze flickered at me as he returned his gaze to the ship and the packages being brought out.

"Just again, your packages were safely delivered, and I would say thanks to me." He said.

"Alright, Nikolai. I shall deal with the delivery from here..." I uttered.

My legs hastened as I left his side, walking towards where the packages were.

As his voice faded, I left the wall, retreating back to the restaurant. My eyes fluttered, hoping he didn't see me. Mistakenly bumping into someone, I was stunned. With a simple apology, I stood at the restaurant front, gently awaiting his return from his call. After a few minutes, my eyes caught his approaching figure as I stood up, dusting my clothes. The closer he got, the more uneasy I felt, his last sentence echoing in my mind. "What are you doing out here?" he asked. "Just wanted some air. Can we go back to the mansion? I need to rest," I uttered. He hesitated before giving a nod. Alexander Knightbridge walked out after him, ending some discussions with Sebastian. As he then approached me, his presence made my legs instinctively step back slowly. "Can't wait to have you at my office tomorrow, hmmm, Mrs..." "Scarlet," I uttered sharply.
