“Papa?” I said crossing my fingers. God let him be alright.

“Margaret Ricci.” I heard his gruff voice. A sigh of relief escaped my mouth.

“Papa, you’re alright.”

“Not with the heart attack you’re trying to give me. I want you in this house by tomorrow, do you hear me?”

“si papa.” He had called my full name. I was definitely in trouble for something. My heart dropped. Did he find out about the contract?

Worrying would do nothing. There was only one thing to do. Call Miles. I knew mum would be glued to dad and won’t have time to answer me.
