It was the first time he had stood against her on a topic. It had been the first time he had been able to tell her no. It surprised her and she grew wary of him, refusing to tell him things anymore.

She began prying into his life, convinced that something was wrong with him and he had only found out too late what his punishment for defying her was.

Julian shook his head, riding on while following the tracks and the dark trails he could find of sorcerers. They had a distinct smell and aura. One that werewolves rarely knew about. It made it easy for him to track them, since he already knew what he was looking for, but not for the wolves, since they did not know what exact scent they were looking for.
