"Can you get back by taxi?" Sebastián asked seriously, and Isabella quickly nodded. "Good, go to my parents' house. Nicholas is there; it would be good for you to spend time with him. He misses you."

"Really?" Isabella's eyes lit up, and it was impossible for Sebastián to miss them. Suddenly, he pulled out his wallet and handed her some bills and a black card.

"This is for the taxi, and this," he said, pointing to the card, "is for your expenses. As my wife, I won't allow you to keep dressing like that."

Isabella looked at her clothes and then nodded. They weren't ugly, but they were old. Curiously, Marcus never gave her money to update her wardrobe. Now, she understood why.

"Alright, thank you..."

"I'll be home tonight," he interrupted and gave her one last look before leaving.
