We arrived in Tordis quicker - as Nate had planned - by only taking a few breaks and travelling the whole night. Looking at Ace's kingdom, you could really tell that it was truly a magnificent place for the elves. The area itself already looked magical with an alternating jagged tree bark surrounding the whole area as fences. The tallest bark stood at the farthest; near the castle coming smaller and smaller as it surrounds the entire kingdom until it just stops and vanishes into the ground – didn't even make a full circle.
"This is the place where the once great oak tree stood. It was once inhabited by the whole elven kingdom." Ren spoke behind me as if sensing my wonder regarding the tree barks. The whole way to Tordis, I took a ride with Ren since Ace was too weak to transfer on Midnight. Also, I was too scared to ride on Ace's horse. Trust me, it's like Ace and his horse buddy are one for they sha
"Um...what about the 'friends' part?" Ren asked as soon as Darem disappeared behind the castle doors."You mean 'best friends' part." Dan corrected him with a frown. "Somehow I feel like I am not going to get along with Ace's brother.""Why is that?" Ren asked his brother."It's a brother's intuition, Ren." Dan answered him with a shrug."You are all neither my 'friends' or my 'best friends'." Ace said, looking annoyed. "And let's go. I think it's about time for us to leave."As Ace turned the other way around, Nate was there blocking his way. "No we are not. We came here to get you cured of whatever illness you have."Ace and Nate had a staring contest then. With Ace half an inch
"In the garden. There's a spring that can help with the healing. Take him there." Queen Siera ordered. In that instant his brothers started to approach him but he waved them all away. "I can walk by myself." He said but the moment that he took one step forward his legs gave out and he fell on the floor coughing. He groaned in pain and I could tell that he was trying to hold it on. His brothers were right there beside him and helping him up. As soon as Ace raised his head we all gasped. Not only was his nose bleeding, but he was crying out blood too. My heart pounded at the sight. Are we going to lose Ace too? At the thought, my hands started shaking.No. I don't want that."Get him in the garden! Quick!!" The queen ordered.W
All of us looked at Ren who only smiled sheepishly from our stares. "Sorry. Just got used to it." In my irritation, I slapped Ren at the back of his head. "Ow!"And to think that I felt relieved because I thought that it was Ace! Stupid Ren."Yes." Eltur confirmed. "Ace is the third one who possesses such a gift. Imagine our surprise when mother, Darem, and I found him in the garden bringing dead flowers back to life." Eltur grinned at the memory. "At first we didn't have a clue what his gift was, but after a few trips to the library we finally figured it out. Ace was only 5 when his gift manifested.""That is so unreal." I muttered."Yeah. Imagine our cute little baby brother obtaining such a rare gift coming from previous kings. Great kings if I may add."
The next morning, I woke up early because of the loud chirping of the birds outside of my room. Normally I would throw a fit because I am not a morning person. But as of now I could barely sleep because I am still worried about a certain prince.I took a shower and got dressed for the day. One of the things that I love about this place is that the Elves respect your privacy - not sure if this is the right word. When I woke up, they simply had everything prepared for me. From the dresses to bath essentials, but I have not seen any Elf in my room. Then I thought about yesterday how a group of Elves simply appeared before the princes and I.The dress that I got was a very silky peach that looks like an evening gown but more flowy and elegant. Somehow it reminds me of what the Romans back on Earth used to wear - according to books and movies anyway. I started pacin
Ren and I both stopped and turned towards the greenhouse entrance to see Nora. Today she was wearing a purple dress and her hair was in a side fishtail braid. She was not looking at us but at the direction of the pond where Ace lays. Immediately, Ren and I stepped away from each other as we blocked Ace's view from Nora."Nora? What are you doing here?" I asked nervously. I looked at Ren to see him doing his best to block Ace from her view."My bwother is sick, isn't he?" She asked. "I heard my bwother talking to father yesterday. I thought it wasn't a big deal so I waited until today to check." She said and moved her head to get a look at her brother."Well....um....." I looked at Ren for help, but he only looked away seeming uncomfortable with the situation. Useless bastard.
I have never seen an Anaconda before but I'm guessing that it is about this size – or maybe larger that it can swallow a man whole. But though it might be as big as an Anaconda it still differs from it because of it's skin. It was white with a few hints of blue, green, pink, and yellow on it. I have seen snakes in pictures but surely there is nothing like it back on my world. Then I remembered a prehistoric snake back in my world that thankfully doesn't exist anymore. A Boa. But I bet this one is bigger. The snake slid down and was now on the ground.Stay back, Rose. And don't move. It won't see you. Ren then drew his sword as he readied for combat. I don't even know how a sword could do damage to a snake as big as that."Y-You should too." I stuttered and looked
The moment Ace jumped down from the tree did I notice something. "Did you just call me that woman?"Ren!" I said and started towards Ren, who was now back on his feet and looking at Ace. "That snake is a Boa. They don't have poison but they can kill you through constriction. They are very hard to find and detect because part of their ability is to conceal their presence. They are strong and would most likely require 5 men to take it down. But your strength and my skills are more than enough. Help me kill this monster." He said to Ren.Ren gave him a curt nod and a snort.Ace nodded back in return. "The weakness of a Boa is by cutting it's head. You distract it while I find a way to it's back and cut off it's head. Make sure to sta
"Now listen here, bloodsucker. Ren and I have nothing to do with this. This was all your fault." Said Dan."Me? Who's idea was it to chase the deer for our next meal?" Nate retorted."Ours obviously." Admitted Ren. "But it wasn't our idea to get deep into the woods." Ren said."My idea? I only suggested that we have a small competition on who catches the deer first to know who's a better hunter!""See? Bad idea." Dan pointed out."How is that a bad idea?""Every competition with us will most likely end in a disaster. You,
